“Lee is the absolute best! Firstly she is so communicative and responsive, she makes all of the logistics so easy. Our dog is very anxious and typically very apprehensive of new environments, people and dogs - he can’t just be left with just any dog sitter - and Lee was so understanding of him and made him feel right at home. She truly understands small dogs!!”

“Excellent care ! Chad is very friendly and knowledgeable. He has a big house with a huge backyard. When I arrived for pick up, my dog was sleeping on the couch. Comfortable and safe. Thank you.”

“Baxter has stayed Andrea and her pups twice for daycare, with hopefully more days to come! Andrea has a gentle, kind spirit and seems very attuned to a dog's needs. At our meet & greet, she asked great questions about Baxter and his routines. She provided fun updates with pics a few times a day -- much appreciated!”

“Kelly took such wonderful care of our pup!! At 4 months old, Moose needs a LOT of play and attention (our training seems to go out the window when he's in a new place), but Kelly did an amazing job keeping him happy, loved, and up to speed with his commands. We could tell from the second we dropped him off that she knew exactly how to handle his puppy energy, and she sent us pictures and updates throughout the day to let us know how things were going. She even sent him home with his favorite snacks!! We will definitely rebook with Kelly in the future :)”

“Amann was easygoing and willing to take in another dog at the last minute and adjust the schedule, which I greatly appreciate. Avon can be timid, and she felt very comfortable with Amann, confirming that he was a great sitter. Thank you again, Amann!”

“Bernie had such a lovely time with the crew! Kim and Jeff were so lovely, patient, and kind to him. We received plenty of photo and text updates throughout the day, which made us feel so confident about leaving our fur baby with separation anxiety in their care. Highly recommend ?”

About: I've had dogs and pets in some capacity or another throughout my life and have loved being Sister-2-Legs to each of my four-legged siblings. I have cared for a variety of animals from young to old, mostly cats and dogs, a bird, and a few rabbits. More recently, it's been a mix of senior dogs and puppies. I'm used to balancing puppy training versus the possible complex needs of senior dogs. My own sweet spaniel passed last year, and he lost both his sight and his hearing as he aged, which presented a few challenges but was a very valuable learning experience. I'm comfortable with all ages and stages of life and love spoiling every single furred family member I care for. I adapt my schedule around your pet's needs and routines. Please message me for schedule details. I may be able to offer drop-ins, walks, or daycare either in your home or at my doggy daycare outside of the time slots listed. Daycare: My yard is fully fenced with a grass area for all kinds of running and toy play time. Everyone is welcome to sprawl out on the furniture both indoors and outside. Your dog is given as much attention and love as if they were my own. I look forward to welcoming new furry friends! Housesitting: My preference for my animals has always been to keep them in their home environment where they feel the most safe and secure. I will follow all their daily routines and any other directions provided and treat their space as if it were my own. Depending on your preference, hikes, beach trips, and other special activities can be added to the daily standards of belly rubs, walkies, and cuddles. As I also have a doggy daycare, it would be great if your pets are dog-friendly and able to participate in daycare during our stay!

“MaryCatherine is AMAZING! This was my first time taking my dog a sitter so I was bit nervous, but once Buddy got there I knew he would be in great hands. She shared videos through the day to share how his day was going (which also gave me comfort). I would HIGHLY recommend her.”

About: I'm a very responsible middle-aged woman who works from home and would be happy to care for your fur baby. Eventually I'll get a dog of my own! Our household consists of me and my partner, Rocky. We both grew up with pets, but currently don't have any. I work about 15-25 hours a week from home so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks around the neighborhood and trips to the Alameda dog park. My partner and I are homebodies and enjoy spending time working on our house and gardening. I have a fenced in yard and several rooms of my house can be sectioned off to allow for large spaces to hang out, if the dog needs it's own space. I also have plenty of room to set up a crate. I do not have any pets. I would love to get a dog, but I travel to Vancouver 4 times a year to visit my mom in long term care and occasionally I have to travel for a week or more for work and I don't want to leave a pet for that long. My partner goes to the office Monday - Friday.

About: I don’t just care for your pets, I treat them as part of my family. I love spending time with them, whether it’s playing, resting, or giving them attention, and I want your pet to feel loved at all times. I am currently available to care for your pets at any time, whether it’s during the day, night, or weekends. I offer flexible scheduling to fit your needs and ensure your pets receive the care and attention they deserve. I know that the most important thing is pet care, and one of those is their feeding. I can provide food at any necessary time, in case they have a specific feeding schedule, and I can do it without any problem. I will also dedicate enough time for play or bathroom breaks.

About: I’ve been training my dog since I adopted her a month ago and we are doing very well! Working on recall and finishing up crate training, soon we will be taking a class at the spca. I also care for my housemate’s cat when he is away. I go on a lot of walks with my dog and would love to help walking yours! I really enjoy walking and spending time with pets and I am usually pretty open every day. I work remote and have a pretty flexible schedule so I’m able to accommodate whatever works best for you. I am happy to follow any and all guidelines you have for your pets at home and during walks. Just let me know and I will comply!

Shannon & Rocky D.
“My partner and I were away for two weeks, and leaving our 1-year-old puppy behind for the first time was nervewracking. From the moment we dropped him off, Shannon went above and beyond with her thoughtful care. She welcomed Sonny into her home, kept us updated with regular photos, and made sure he got plenty of playtime in her backyard and at the dog park. When he unexpectedly injured his paw at the dog park (a toenail snag), Shannon contacted our vet, took him in for treatment, and lovingly cared for him while he wore a cast and cone. We were blown away by her attentiveness, compassion, and proactive care. Knowing our pup was in her hands gave us total peace of mind. Shannon is truly exceptional. She's trustworthy, communicative, and full of heart. We couldn’t imagine a better person to care for our fur-baby, and anyone would be lucky to have her look after theirs!!!”

School dog parents share their Rover experiences
Chad took excellent care of my young and energetic greyhound with a lot of separation anxiety. When I picked her up she was happy and excited, but she didn’t show any signs of distress. Prior to my dog’s stay at his home Chad had invited us over for a meet&greet and he took a lot of time to inquire about my dog’s character and behaviors, which made me very confident that things would be alright. Chad was also willing to accommodated my travel schedule. I am happy with the experience and hope he will be available next time I have to go out of town.

Baxter had a great day with Kim and her human and dog crew. :) She sent pics with fun commentary several times (much appreciated -- especially on the first day!. Baxter was wiped out in the evening after a day of play. Kim is clearly a pro at dog care. She was very engaged in our meet and greet and asked lots of good questions. She's very pleasant to chat with and communicates proactively. Looking forward to Baxter's next stay!

This was my 1.5 year old pup's first time being watched by someone other than family, and Sally was the perfect first getaway! She is calm, responsive, flexible, and communicated throughout Piper's first day. Piper was happy and relaxed when I picked her up. I'll ask Sally to watch her again!

Teetouch took such good care of our four month old puppy, Carby! It was our first time leaving him in someone else’s care since we adopted him so we were nervous pet parents, but he was in the best possible care with Teetouch. We received lots of pictures, video, and updates. It was clear that Carby got lots of love and care while we were away.

Jeff and Beth were amazing. I couldn’t have been happier with the whole experience. This was my first experience with Rover and my new shelter pup Lulu. Lulu is a bit anxious and takes some time to warm up. I felt Jeff and Beth were so loving, caring and patient with her and she seemed to really settle in and enjoy herself with Jeff and Beth and the other pups. Their space inside and out is AMAZING…a dog’s delight. I plan to return soon!
