Dog Sitting Savoy

About: I have been around animals my entire life. I once had dreams of being a vet and spent two summers as an intern at a vet clinic, but learned quickly that that is not necessarily the career to choose just because you love animals, haha. That being said, I love both dogs and cats and have been a volunteer at animal shelters since 2017. I currently have a sweet but shy 6 year old cat named Rhiannon. I work remotely on weekdays, so I am home throughout the day for companionship and frequent potty breaks, if needed. I love to go on evening walks in my local park as well. I live in a single family home with an unfenced yard, but any bathroom breaks would be under my full watch and care. I have one sweet but shy cat, but she has her own room if your pet is not okay with other animals.

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals with a variety of cats and dogs. I’ve learned a lot through fostering pets and volunteer work. I am very passionate about working with and caring for animals! I am a college student currently in Champaign. I have class during the day but have plenty of time to work with animals in my free time! I am willing to come over and take care of your pets depending on their needs! I am also open to dog walking and other services. I do have my own pets at home so I do not offer services in my own home.

About: I have worked at a vet clinic for 5 years as a vet assistant so I’m very knowledgeable in the field. I have taken care of family dogs and 1 personal dog. I’ll be available Tuesday after 3:30pm, Thursdays after 12:30pm, and some weekends until October 14th. I’ll have a different schedule after that as I’ll be in a different stage of vet school. About: I have lived with dogs and cats my whole life since I was born with the dogs ranging in sizes from Chihuahuas to Rottweilers. I have volunteered at 2 different animal shelters since I was 15 years old as well as fostered both cats and dogs. I have experience in training young pets from working with my own over the years I work a flexible part-time schedule, meaning I am only away for a few hours at a time during the week. My schedule is completely open on weekends for boarding. Your pet will get plenty of attention, playtime, and potty breaks! I’m skilled in safe animal handling, physical restraint, preventative care, and administering medications. I’m Fear Free Certified and always prioritize low-stress, compassionate care. Moreover, I’m comfortable with sitting for senior pets with medical needs. I have personal experience managing chronic illness in my own dog for 2+ years, including giving at-home subcutaneous fluids and consistent oral medications. I have experience with bathing and would be more than happy to offer baths or nail trims upon request for an additional charge. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priority. As a student, I attend classes during the weekday, but my schedule allows me to run home during lunch breaks and between classes for potty breaks, feedings, and check-ins. My evenings are completely free, so your pet will have plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship during the evening hours and will not be left alone. My home is a townhome with no pets and no children, providing a calm and controlled environment. There is plenty of space for pets to move around comfortably, and I can easily accommodate crates or set up separate areas if needed. I’m also happy to follow your pet’s established routines and household rules, including furniture access and sleeping arrangements, to help them feel at home.

I'm also a responsible house sitter, having been both a homeowner and a renter, I understand the value of not just your pets, but your possessions, your mail and plants, the cozy space of your home, the relationships with your neighbors. I have provided these services for friends and families for most of my life. I have always loved animals and I have always owned pets, been a member of dog parks and puppy play groups, and I volunteered for the Champaign Humane Society for many years. One year in school for veterinary medicine caring for various animals and in charge of cleaning, sanitation and care for all animals boarded at the school. About: I grew up taking care of our family dogs, cats, birds, fish, guinea pigs, snakes, tarantulas, and horses. With my love and closeness to animals growing up, I continued into the veterinary medicine world after high school and have worked within clinic settings for the past 7 years! I am experienced and comfortable with administering both oral and injectable medications, bathing, and much more. I plan to become a certified veterinary technician as well in the near future. While I do work full time during the week, I am still often able to accommodate multiple visits a day due to my lunch break! I don’t mind an early morning to make sure your pets are taken care of before the workday either. Because mid-day visits are on my break, the time I will be available for these visit will be dependent on the travel time. As my apartment is too small to accommodate any dogs or additional cats, I would be treating your home with the utmost respect! It’s your (and especially your pet’s) safe space, and that needs to be protected. I will always clean up after any messes if they are made by your pet and reach out to make sure you’re aware!
