“Kyra wonderful! She was super attentive to my two cats and made sure to update me while I was away. I definitely would recommend her to anybody looking for a great sitter.”

“We will definitely book with Jasmine again! She was super communicative, thorough, and flexible. We appreciated the pictures and detailed notes. Our shy cat warmed up quickly to her. Highly recommend!”

“Zoey took great care of our cat (who loved her) and was very attentive to the instructions we left her. She sent lots of photos during drop-ins, and even went above and beyond by watering our plants and bringing in mail (which included a hefty Chewy package). Would definitely recommend!”

“This was our pets’ first time with a Rover sitter, and Holly was great! She sent us photos and notes, and took good care of both the cat and the dog while we were gone. Thank you, Holly!”

“Michelle is wonderful. She’s very aware of any and all changes with my cats and spends quality time with them to make them feel comfortable. She also goes above and beyond to help them feel settled with the stress of me being gone”

“David did a wonderful job with my three kitties! He played with the friendly ones and was patient with my shy guy. He even watered my plants while I was away. Appreciated his help making sure everyone was fed and safe!”

“Amazing petsitter for our dog and cat! They loved having someone come to visit throughout the day and my husband and I really appreciated the pictures from each stop so we could keep seeing them while we were away. I would leave 10 stars if I could!”

“Amber was very friendly and asked many questions about my dog. She did exactly what I asked her to do. She took time to bond with my extremely shy dog. I was very impressed that my dog felt comfortable enough to approach Amber and allow Amber hold her during the second visit. That was record breaking for my dog. Amber is a talented pet sitter.”

“Thomas did an incredible job watching my mischievous kittens. He took their shenanigans in stride like a pro while I was out of town. I could rest assured that they were fed entertained and cared for. I would definitely consider Thomas in the future.”

“As a first time Rover user, Masha was very understanding and accommodating of my worries. Even when my travel schedule changed and less than a week before I found out my cat had an ear infection she worked with me to figure out a plan so my cat can get the meds she needs. She was great with my cats shy personality and I will definitely be returning to her for my cat sitting needs.”

“Aric truly went above and beyond! Not only did he save the day with my late request, he also took fantastic care of my crew (hound, buns, and fish tanks). Little touches like bringing my trash bin back from the curb and buying my dog another cup of yogurt when he ran out shows how much he cares.”

About: I grew up taking care of our family dogs, cats, birds, fish, guinea pigs, snakes, tarantulas, and horses. With my love and closeness to animals growing up, I continued into the veterinary medicine world after high school and have worked within clinic settings for the past 7 years! I am experienced and comfortable with administering both oral and injectable medications, bathing, and much more. I plan to become a certified veterinary technician as well in the near future. While I do work full time during the week, I am still often able to accommodate multiple visits a day due to my lunch break! I don’t mind an early morning to make sure your pets are taken care of before the workday either. Because mid-day visits are on my break, the time I will be available for these visit will be dependent on the travel time. As my apartment is too small to accommodate any dogs or additional cats, I would be treating your home with the utmost respect! It’s your (and especially your pet’s) safe space, and that needs to be protected. I will always clean up after any messes if they are made by your pet and reach out to make sure you’re aware!
“Carli did another great job with our dogs and cat while we were on a weekend trip! She made sure to give them plenty of time to run and play with every visit, and they love her company. She continues to be our go-to!”

“Anna was sweet, dependable, and very communicative! I felt very at ease having her drop by to visit my cat while I was away, and it was such a weight off my shoulders to know he would have some company. I would definitely recommend her service and I plan to continue hiring her for visits in future.”

“Alicia provided great updates and photos. She did a great job with our instructions to administer meds to our Boxer even when we had to make a last minute change. She made sure to let us know exactly what meds were given and when. We will definitely request to have Alicia watch our pups for future trips.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Savoy. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
