In addition to dogs, I'm happy to care for other pets in your home—just let me know what you need! I also have experience understanding canine body language and communicating with dogs in a way that makes them feel safe and secure. My schedule is really flexible, you can call me. It will be a pleasure to help you take care of your best friend. We will have a good time together. About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 2 years and have owned and been around dogs my whole life. I’m patient, dependable, and genuinely love animals. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets while they’re away. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable, and I always make sure they get plenty of attention, care, and love. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’m not currently working any other jobs so I have pretty much full availability, I can host pets at my home with a fenced in yard and dog park in the neighborhood or have no problem coming to you! Fenced in yard, dog park in neighborhood, I have one small baby doodle in the home who is very friendly and loving to keep any pups company, can also keep dogs separate or crated depending on how you prefer your care.

“Lauren did a wonderful job taking care of my two dogs. She was patient and willing to work with my dog who has some anxiety issues and made her feel safe. I would recommend her 100%!”
“Kyle is amazing! I used Kyle for the first time after loosing my prior dog sitter that I had had for several years. I needed drop in visits for my two fur babies a couple times a day while leaving for a planned vacation. On top of everything else one of my dogs was injured the week prior and needed daily medication and extra attention. Kyle absolutely delivered flawlessly. He’s got a great personality, truly cares about your pets, is excellent at communicating and giving updates as well as amazing photos the entire time. I can’t say enough good things about him. I will definitely use him again.”

“Carmel was absolutely amazing with our Doberman! From the very beginning, she was professional, kind, and clearly experienced with large breeds. She provided consistent updates and sent plenty of pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious our dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. We truly went on our trip worry-free knowing our pup was in such great hands. We will absolutely be booking with Carmel again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, attentive, and loving sitter!”

“Joe Joe loves you! Plus we don't worry about him at all knowing you will take excellent care of him! We will definitely be contacting you for all cat sitting needs! Thank you so much.😻”

“Angey did a really good job of keeping me updated on my cats and was even able to capture some pictures of my reclusive girls which gave me comfort knowing they were OK. I felt confident knowing they were being checked on and given fresh food and water.”

About: As the mom of a 16-year-old pup, I understand how much our animals mean to us. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and have lots of fun until you return home. Because I always end up missing my dog when I'm on vacation or at work, I know how comforting it is to see what they're up to, so I'm happy to share lots of photo updates. My own dog is a senior with medical conditions, so I'm comfortable following detailed care instructions and administering medications and fluids when needed. Having a senior dog has taught me to be extremely patient and has given me a better understanding of how to read a dog's behavior and know when it's time to give them space or when they're ready to play. I'm happy to take them on walks to get their energy out or relax with them at home, depending on their routine and mood. I look forward to watching your pet! I work remotely, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and potty breaks throughout the day. My flexible schedule means your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and can maintain their normal routine as closely as possible. Whether they enjoy playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. I prefer to care for pets in their own home, where they’re most comfortable and able to stick to their normal routine. This also allows me to protect my own senior dog, Mishi, who has lymphoma and is more vulnerable to illnesses and infections. I have years of experience babysitting in clients’ homes, so I’m respectful of others’ privacy, property, and routines. I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect that I would my own while making sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats essentially my entire life, so I’m comfortable with pets of all breeds, sizes, and ages. I have hands-on experience with energetic puppies who require patience and extra attention, as well as senior pets that need a gentle touch. In fact, right now we have a puppy, a senior dog, and a senior cat at home, so I’m well-practiced in managing a variety of needs and responsibilities. I currently work part-time three to four days a week, which gives me plenty of availability to focus on pet care. I’m looking forward to offering loving care as a side gig until I return to college in late September. I make it a priority to keep an up-to-date schedule and communicate frequently so that both pets and owners know what to expect. When caring for pets, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. To me, this means following each pet’s individual routine, including feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, and any special needs they may have.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 30 years and genuinely love spending time with pets of all kinds. Friends, family, neighbors, and the families I’ve worked for have trusted me to walk, feed, administer medications, provide companionship, and care for both energetic puppies and senior dogs with patience and compassion. As a professional household manager and nanny, I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and understand how important it is to follow routines and make sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether your pet needs long walks, playtime, cuddles, or calm, attentive care, I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own family. I’m happy to send regular photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, loved, and in great hands. I have a flexible schedule and can provide dependable care throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and many holidays. I’ll make sure your pet receives plenty of love, attention, exercise, and companionship while you’re away. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or extra patience, I provide attentive, compassionate care tailored to them. I’m respectful of your home, keep everything clean and secure, and communicate regularly with updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in loving, reliable hands.
“Kimberly is the best! She is great with communicating and did a great job checking in on our dog, Max, and he absolutely loves her. Kimberly fed him dinner, took him for a walk and sent us photos. We will definitely be using Kimberly again 🐶!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals starting in middle school. Friends and neighbors have always trusted me to walk, feed, and watch over their animals when they weren’t available. I’m currently a college student home for the summer so I’ll have plenty of time and energy to spend with your dogs, cats, and anything in between. I have a fenced yard with a loving and playful Labrador of my own. I am also more than willing to crate your dog if need be.
“Totally pleased. Steph helped out with a last minute crisis, and managed to navigate our situation with two labs to perfection. Will definitely hope to get Steph again for future visits.”

About: I bring a unique level of experience and professionalism to pet care, shaped by over two decades of service as a U.S. Marine and certified dog handler. I’ve deployed to Afghanistan as a combat dog handler, later serving as a trainer and kennel master, where I was responsible for the care, training, and performance of working dogs in high-stress environments. I also hold training certifications from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department as well as specialized credentials through the ATF and Department of Defense. This background not only taught me advanced skills in training puppies and adult dogs, but also in providing attentive care for senior and special-needs dogs. Above all, I bring patience, discipline, and a genuine love for animals—treating every dog I work with as if they were my own. I retired from active duty this year and I am a full time student, but I’m generally flexible in most situations and can work through challenges. My current residence is enclosed by a fence with a nice yard and patio area in a calm neighborhood by the pier in San Clemente, close to the beach and trails.

I follow instructions clearly as provided by the owner and give my full attention to the animals I am caring for. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - San Clemente
Kyle did such an amazing job caring for my dog while I was out of town for work. I’m a first time Rover user so I was hesitant to select a stranger to come into my home, but Kyle was very communicative and friendly. We had a meet and greet ahead of the stay so my dog could check him out and go over the routine. 10/10 would recommend Kyle to care for your pet!
Our cat Pawlina LOVES Cornelia!! She was a feral cat and is quite shy and fearful of most people, but she responded immediately to Cornelia, and even greets her when she comes over. We are very happy knowing that Pawlina is being so well cared for by Cornelia while we’re away!!
Erin was great. I was nervous to leave my cat for a week but Erin made me feel at ease with detailed updates and multiple pictures per visit. Erin has clear communication and she clearly cares about cats which I felt from the initial visit with her but was reassured of this with every visit she had with my cat and update to me directly following every visit. I will definitely be using Erin to watch my cat again in the future if she is available when I go out of town.

Owen has been the best cat-sitter for our 2 cats! Easy to communicate, always on time, understandable of our needs. We have a complicated automatic toilet, feeders, and water dispenser - Owen was able to operate all that stuff. He spent time fixing our automatic toilet when it got stuck. Bottom line, we are happy and will be looking for Owen's services next time if available.
Alexa has been so good to my dachshund Murphy. I’m so grateful I chose her to drop in each weekday while I’m at work. It’s been a huge relief knowing Murphy is getting the care and attention he deserves. She’s been flexible with schedule changes and sends lots of pictures of him during playtime and walks. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for drop-ins or walks.

Carmel was absolutely amazing with our Doberman! We will absolutely be booking with Carmel again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, attentive, and loving sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
