About: Animals bring me so much joy and I'm excited to get to know yours! Let’s be honest, our fur babies would prefer us around All.The.Time but as we know life is busy!! That's where I come in, ready to greet your pets with kindness, cuddles and lots of love. And I always make sure to match their energy. I grew up with dogs & cats (and fish!) all around and I love caring for, training and spending time with animals. Most recently I raised & trained my sweet rescue baby, a German Shepherd Boxer mix (she's a BIG baby yes!). Friends often call on me to take care of their furry family members. I'm comfortable with dogs and cats of all sizes and ages and can't wait to meet them and treat/spoil them with love like my own fur babies. I currently work from home while my girlfriend and I start our own businesses (working hard to chase our dreams!). My schedule is flexible at the moment so I can be available on short notice. Reach out so we can find a time and schedule that works best for you and your pets! For drop-in visits and walks I'm here to offer whatever your pet needs. Is Fido full of rambunctious energy and play? I'm ready for it! Chill time with cuddles? Sounds great! A rousing game of fetch? Fantastic! I will adjust to exactly what your fur baby needs and always send photos of our time together so you can rest easy that your pet is healthy and happy. Evfurrybody (couldn't resist) needs something a little different and I'll bring the love and build the trust that all animals need to feel safe and cared for.
“Angey did a really good job of keeping me updated on my cats and was even able to capture some pictures of my reclusive girls which gave me comfort knowing they were OK. I felt confident knowing they were being checked on and given fresh food and water.”

“Johanna was a great sitter for our cat Morty while we were away for our wedding! She was prompt each day showing up at the scheduled time, provided great care, and always kept in contact with us. Would absolutely recommend Johanna for anyone who wants their pet to have some company while they are away for a few days.”

About: Since I was a little girl, I have always had at least two canine companions by my side—which is partially due to having a dog-loving mother who works in the pet grooming industry—so naturally, I have made friends with cats and dogs from all walks of life (and many other animals, too!). My fondness toward all living creatures, however, is something innate. I have plenty of experience in pet care, be it from caring for the pets of my own (including insects!), to working in animal shelters, and petsitting for friends, family, and professionally for clients. Whether it is time to eat, play, walk, bathe, or administer medication—I am here to assist with any tasks (including light housekeeping during house sitting) that can provide you with peace of mind while your pet & I are busy becoming new best friends 🐾🦴💗 My current schedule is pretty consistent, flexible & seldom changes, but if necessary I am always willing to do my best to accommodate your needs. When I come to your home, I believe it is important to prioritize the normal routine of your pet for their comfort & wellbeing, first and foremost. However, I love to incorporate morning/evening walks & extra play time if this works for your pet! I love to know all of the little details about your pet so I can become more of a friend to them rather than a stranger & the rules which allow me take care of them adequately. I am more than willing to keep in touch with you through messages & photos throughout the duration of my time caring for your fluffy babie(s).
“Could not recommend Alexis more! She has been so communicative and is so incredibly helpful with our 4 month old puppy. It is so comforting to know he is in good hands with her!”

“Absolutely wonderful! I can't say enough good things about Bailey, we are so happy we found such a kind, professional, and attentive person to look after our pets while we're away.”
“Totally pleased. Steph helped out with a last minute crisis, and managed to navigate our situation with two labs to perfection. Will definitely hope to get Steph again for future visits.”

“Joe Joe loves you! Plus we don't worry about him at all knowing you will take excellent care of him! We will definitely be contacting you for all cat sitting needs! Thank you so much.😻”

“Jaycee is so reliable, I can almost set my watch by her arrivals! She sends great updates of my kitties and lets me know about any issue promptly! I’m grateful she is able to take great care of my boys when we are traveling!”

About: A happy dog is a tired dog! I offer dog walks, drop-in visits and overnights at my home. My experience is both personal and professional: I recently lost my beloved 15-year old Labrador. Since I’ve been able to drive (25+ years ago), I’ve also professionally pet sat many fur babies within their homes for extended stays (references available, but Rover was not invented back then🤣). I love the companionship of animals, as well as offering pet owners the feeling of relief that comes with knowing their fur-family is well tended. Whether away on vacation, or you have a long work day, I’m well aware of how nerve-wracking and uncomfortable it is to leave your pet alone for too long. The need for a pet-sitter myself is initially what led me to Rover. At the moment, I mostly board dogs within my home, but am available for drop in visits/walks on occasion. While I don’t have a yard, I’m a stay at home mom who is home all day save for local errands and picking up/dropping off my kids to/from school and activities. I can provide a potty break or walk every 3-4 hours. My kids LOVE animals, so dogs must be used to kids, and enjoy affection. However, rest assured, I don’t let my kids climb on or otherwise irritate your pet. Please contact me to discuss your needs and feel relieved knowing your pup will get a good dose of affection, exercise and plenty of potty breaks while you’re away. I’m a stay at home mom, and husband works out of the home. I have your pet stay with me, or I can visit your place mornings and late afternoons. I board up to two dogs at once. I keep dogs in a gated off area (or your pet crate) while I’m out, and dogs have the run of my place while we’re home. Your pet must be comfortable with kids. However I won’t let my kiddos tug, climb on or otherwise irritate your baby. Your dog must like lots of attention though. He/she will get lots of pets, and if ok with you, some gentle hugs.

About: I've always loved playing with dogs and taking care of them. I grew up raising dogs, and puppies since I was 8 years old. I have about 18 years of experience with caring for these beautiful animals and I can't have one while I'm at college so this is the closest I can come to having a dog of my own. I'm on summer vacation so I'm readily available. I have experience with rescue dogs, dogs with separation anxiety, bottle feeding puppies and dogs of all sizes. I am currently going to school online at Humboldt State so my availability is very flexible. I am readily available for drop-ins, house-sitting and walks! I care for my clients pets just as if they were my own, ensuring all of their needs are met while also giving them some extra love and attention
About: I’m a nursing student that loves animals! I own a dog and cat that I love very much. I would love to care for your pets give them extra love! I have classes a couple days a week but they are ending because of the holidays! I am pretty available and flexible with my schedule. I will always put their safety and comfort first. I love to spend extra time with them. I will treat your pets like they are my own!
“Beth was great with our 6 month old kitten. I was nervous to leave her for the first time. But Beth kept us up to date with messages and photos. I’ll definitely use her again. She been a great dog sitter for us as well.”

About: Have had more than one dog my entire life; small cocker spaniel, large lab, and pit bull. I adore puppies, dogs, and seniors. Flexible during the morning and evenings for your animals needs! I take my dog to a local park every other day to get fresh air and exercises. Happy to feed your animal, share cuddles and give them plenty of play time. I work in hospitality so I work closely with people all day long and would love to hangout with animals in the evening. Reliable transportation in case of any veterinarian emergencies. I work in the city and live in the burbs conveniently for all locations. Happy to travel anywhere up to 30 minutes away for the right client and animal! :) I work from home therefore I create my own schedule based on your animals needs :) I have my own dog therefore I’m used to waking up early and staying up late to walk him and get his energy out. I will accommodate to your dogs preferences and needs based on their crate training, yard, or daily walks. Since I work from home I can stay with them for some time for those that have separation anxiety.

About: As the mom of a 16-year-old pup, I understand how much our animals mean to us. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and have lots of fun until you return home. Because I always end up missing my dog when I'm on vacation or at work, I know how comforting it is to see what they're up to, so I'm happy to share lots of photo updates. My own dog is a senior with medical conditions, so I'm comfortable following detailed care instructions and administering medications and fluids when needed. Having a senior dog has taught me to be extremely patient and has given me a better understanding of how to read a dog's behavior and know when it's time to give them space or when they're ready to play. I'm happy to take them on walks to get their energy out or relax with them at home, depending on their routine and mood. I look forward to watching your pet! I work remotely, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and potty breaks throughout the day. My flexible schedule means your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and can maintain their normal routine as closely as possible. Whether they enjoy playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. I prefer to care for pets in their own home, where they’re most comfortable and able to stick to their normal routine. This also allows me to protect my own senior dog, Mishi, who has lymphoma and is more vulnerable to illnesses and infections. I have years of experience babysitting in clients’ homes, so I’m respectful of others’ privacy, property, and routines. I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect that I would my own while making sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - San Clemente
Lauren was fabulous! Very sweet and kind. She sent me daily pictures of my 2 cats, and cleaned up any hairballs! Added bonus there for sure. Was my first time going out of town and not having someone i know come over, but she really did great and took care of the cats well. Definitely rebooking next time in out of town!

Our cat Pawlina LOVES Cornelia!! She was a feral cat and is quite shy and fearful of most people, but she responded immediately to Cornelia, and even greets her when she comes over. We are very happy knowing that Pawlina is being so well cared for by Cornelia while we’re away!!
Owen has been the best cat-sitter for our 2 cats! Easy to communicate, always on time, understandable of our needs. We have a complicated automatic toilet, feeders, and water dispenser - Owen was able to operate all that stuff. He spent time fixing our automatic toilet when it got stuck. Bottom line, we are happy and will be looking for Owen's services next time if available.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
