About: Hi! I’m Bree. I’ve always had animals in my life, and I genuinely love being around them. I currently have two cats of my own, and I’ve lived with several roommates’ dogs over the years, which means I’ve spent a lot of time caring for different breeds, personalities, and energy levels. I’ve learned how to read their moods, understand their needs, and make them feel comfortable and safe. I also have a close friend who is a professional pet trainer, and I often ask them for advice whenever I want to make sure I’m doing what’s best for the pets I care for. Because of that, I get the benefit of expert insight along with real-world, hands-on experience. My approach is simple: I’ll treat your pets like I treat my own. I’ll talk to them, I’ll be patient with them, I’ll respect their boundaries, and I’ll make sure they feel loved and listened to. Whether it’s a gentle walk, a playful outing, or some quiet company at home, I’ll show up for them every single time. I work part time and go to school part time so I have mornings & afternoons free Monday-Thursday. I’m free around 9-11pm after work on weekends or before work. I can follow any instructions needed to optimize care for your fur family. I will make sure all doors and cabinets to places they shouldn’t be in are secured and they are always safe.

About: With more than 10 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats, I truly love working with animals. I’m patient, attentive, and dedicated to making sure pets feel comfortable, exercised, and cared for. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, extra scratches, feeding, or companionship, I make sure every pet gets the love and attention they deserve. I’m mostly available on Fridays, and the weekends. The weekends, I have the most availability so you can do day trips and not have to worry. I can also do some weeknights. I follow each pet’s normal routine for feeding, walks, and playtime to keep them comfortable and easy any stress. It usually helps to have some guidelines to feeding schedules or walk schedules that the owner requests. I will give pets plenty of attention during play time and make sure they are happy, either purring or wagging tails in a good way. I also treat the home with respect by keeping it clean, secure, and following any instructions the owner provides.
About: Hi! My name is Kaitlin- I’m a 30- something moving to Dana Point to be with my fiance. I’m a clinical pharmacist studying for my law exam to become licensed here. In the mean-time I’d like something to keep me busy, put a smile on my face and keep my golden doodle socialized (when or if desired). This is something we did back in Texas in our free time through a different platform. My time in the hospital has made me sensitive to medically complex animals that need more TLC. I’m also an avid distance runner so we can get some miles in for more active breeds. I will follow up to make an activity plan of what exactly we will do with our time together. I’m open to a pre-visit meet and greet. It is hard to leave our precious cargo with just anyone. MSG us- we’re available! Hi! About: As a dog owner myself, I understand the level of trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care. I'm an active person who loves long walks, playtime, and keeping dogs mentally and physically engaged. I am dependable, detail-oriented, and communicative. I'll follow your care instructions closely and provide regular photo and text updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I own a goofy one-year-old cocker spaniel named Gus and take him for daily walks, play fetch, and give him lots of treats. I work full time but work from home on Tuesdays and am able to fit pet care into my work schedule. My weekends are usually free for dog time. We have a fenced in patio that dogs love to explore and bask in the sunlight on the couch. My dog, Gus, is friendly and enjoys playing with others.
“Emelia took wonderful care of my 3 cats while I was away. She came by to feed them, but also took the initiative to bring a brush and a toy so that she could engage with them. In the pictures she sent, they appeared very comfortable and happy. She was successful at getting even my most distrustful kitty to play with the feather-on-a-string, When I returned home, the kitties looked content and everything in the kitty room was super clean. I highly recommend her and hope that I can use her services again in the future.”
“Our two dogs -- one who loves everyone the other who does not! -- really loved their afternoon break times with Kari. She was reliable with great communication all the way through both bookings. We would happily recommend her!”

About: Hi I’m Janelle! As a self proclaimed “type A” pet parent, I know firsthand how hard it can be to trust someone else with your furry family members. I pay attention to the little details, sticks to routines, and want to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m a proud pet parent to two beagles, Quarter and Nickel, and a senior cat, Karma. My dogs have taught me so much about patience, enrichment, and celebrating each pet for who they are. One of my beagles is reactive, and while he may need a little extra space and understanding, he is still the sweetest pup with his own quirks and personality. Because of this, I’m comfortable working with reactive dogs and understand the importance of patience, boundaries, and building trust. I’m comfortable following your pet’s established routines and care preferences, including the use of e-collars if that is part of their normal training. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, enrichment, medication, or simply a calm companion while you’re away, I’ll provide thoughtful, loving care to help them feel safe and happy. About me: My fiancé and I recently moved back to OC from Seattle! We have 3 fur babies, 2 beagles and 1 cat! I love taking my dogs on walks and hikes and I especially love making treats for them! I also like playing enrichment games with them and agility course training. Our cat is 13 but you wouldn't know it from looking at her! She still enjoys chasing strings and lasers as much as I enjoy watching her lol! I currently have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable care throughout the week to accommodate you and your pet’s routines and needs. Whether your pet is active or a couch potato, I’ll be there to match their pace in your home or on a walk or hike!
About: As someone who loves simple joys like long walks and spending time outdoors, dog walking felt like a natural fit. My family has four amazing dogs — Weimaraners and Bernedoodles — and I greatly enjoy caring for them, whether that's going on walks, feeding them, or curling up for cuddles after long walks on the beach. I know how important it is to trust someone with your dog, and I promise to care for yours with the same love and attention I give my own family dogs. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available for walks and drop-in visits throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I love being active and spending time outdoors, so fitting dog walks into my day is something I genuinely enjoy. Whether your pup needs a quick potty break, a long walk, or some extra love and attention while you're away, I'm happy to help! I know how important it is to trust someone with your dog because my family's dogs have always been cherished members of our family. Safety, patience, and communication are my top priorities. I'm attentive to each dog's personality, energy level, and comfort, and I always aim to create a calm, positive experience whether we're out on a walk or spending time together at home. Having cared for energetic Weimaraners and affectionate Bernedoodles, I'm comfortable with larger breeds and understand the importance of consistency, exercise, and lots of love. I'll treat your pup with the same care and attention I would give my own family dogs, so you can feel confident they're in safe and loving hands.

I was really impressed with Kelsey's kind and sweet ways with my Sammy! He doesn't warm up to easily, and this would have been the very first time I would have left him with a sitter. I have got to say Sam liked Kelsey very much, and came and laid by her, and ate his treats, and really warmed up to her and made me feel oh so comfortable for when I do have to leave him in the future. Kelsey sent me notices when she was on her way here and had wonderful conversation with me once she got here, since I was unable to attend my trip. She was so caring, I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again to take care of Sam, especially now that I have gotten to know her, and was able to see her interact with my precious Sammy. Kelsey was Great!
Huiwen was great! Communication went very well. She was flexible, she spent some time with our little puppy, I felt nervous leaving him for the first time. But she made me feel very comfortable. She took great care of our little guy and we will definitely be booking to use her services again.
Helena was amazing! She showed up right on time, kept us updated with sweet pictures and check-ins, took Bean on a fun walk, and gave him so much love and attention. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in such great hands. Looking forward to having her watch Bean again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
