About: Apart from always caring for my own dogs, I have loved walking my old neighbors pups as well. I am average build but strong for my size so I can handle the tugs from the bigger dogs like husky’s. I have an almost 3 month old who I stay home with so I am available for around the clock care for pups, children, or any elders who need assistance. Me and my baby would love to have your fur baby join our walks and play time! I am a stay at home mom to a very chill and quiet baby. Our days consist of his nap times, sitting on our enclosed balcony, and going on long walks. We live in a condo with a balcony that has no escape route, and a medium size patio/backyard. It does not have grass but we have a 47x32in. artificial grass mat for potty breaks. The condo has stairs as well.
“Jacqueline and her husband are so sweet and easy to work with! Winnie had a great time with them for day care. They sent updates and were flexible with my shifting schedule! Thankful for them!”

About: I have two well behaved, social, friendly dogs named Finn and Nika whom I adopted six years ago. I have always had dogs and cats making my house a home! They bring such fun times and without them, life wouldn't be so wonderful! I've had several different breeds as part of my family including a Collie mix, a German Shepherd Akita mix, Pointers, Maltese mixes, Shepherd mixes and an Airedale. I love cats as well. I've had an orange tabby, a Siamese mix, some domestic short and long hairs, and one lucky black cat. I never imagined how much fun and happiness would be added to our home by getting Finn and Nika. Every waking hours is elevated with their endless enthusiasm. Sure it's a lot of work but it's worth it for the amount of unconditional love I get in return. I love to share their fun outgoing personalities with everyone we meet. I get such pleasure seeing what joy they bring to others! They come along with me everywhere. They love to meet new people and play with dogs of any size or breed. Please feel free to contact me and let's see if I'm a good fit for you and your best friend(s). I am home full time seven days a week and spend hours playing, caring, going on adventures and loving my dogs until the sun goes down. I offer drop-in house visits at your home that will include feeding your dog, taking him/her out to to pee/poop, 1 hour of fun play time interaction and then some wind down cuddle time. We can also go on a walk if that is what your dog wants to do but I find that play time is way more fun of an activity than walking.
“Doreen was warm and welcoming when we arrived. She kept us update with many pictures of our precious boy so we knew he was having fun. We were a little early and Doreen accommodated us! We will definitely use her again when we are back in the area.”

“Diana and Emily watched our dogs, Yoshi and Stitch, for an all-day doggy daycare while we went to the zoo. Diana and Emily were flexible, communicative, and our dogs had a great time. We had a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Diana and Emily to anyone looking for sitters that will care for your dogs the way you do.”

“Veronika & Marcus took the best care of my puppy! They are so patient, kind and loving and I would trust them anytime. Their sweet dog Maverick is my pup’s new BFF and had the best day away at daycare 🐾”

“Kaiya had another great stay at Eric & Allison’s! We love their dog, Moose, and how well of a companion he is to our girl. Highly recommend using them if you need a sitter in the area. Kaiya always comes back happy & well exercised😊👍”

I care for pets with the instructions provided from pet parents. . Each dog has its own personality and words used in commands they picked up from training or from their doggy friends. Learning and understanding each dog requires lots of patience. The reward is getting their trust. .
About: Hi! I have been fostering dogs/cats & taking care of my own for the last 10 years. I love all annimals and will give your pets the love they need when you are away!! I work fully remote! Jacqueline took great care of our doodle! Our girl had friends to play with and time to relax too. Communication was great - we got pics and updates throughout the day. We don’t leave Donna with just anyone and would recommend Jacqueline anytime. We’ll be back!

Danielle was great! She was available short notice to watch our dog Sage and worked around our schedule and timing. She sent pictures and updates and made us feel very comfortable knowing what Sage was up to and checked in to verify her food needs. We really appreciate that kind of communication! :) Sage looks forward to her next visit!

Kelle was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I booked, she was incredibly responsive and made the whole process easy. Throughout the stay, I received regular updates and adorable photos, which gave me such peace of mind. It was clear that Duke was happy and safe.

Cassandra was wonderful! She gave very clear communication from the time that she accepted the booking. When I arrived, I noticed how clean and save her home looked that made me feel really comfortable. Leaving me there! Cassandra was very friendly and Mia felt it ease right away!!! Cassandra and her son took such great care of Mia and sent me pictures :) I could tell from the photos Mia was really relaxed and not stressed! Cassandra has a lot of of experience with dachshunds or any other breed of dogs that you need to be careful with their backs. Mia seemed like she had a great time and got lots of snuggles and two walks!! I would definitely bring me a back to Cassandra!

Savannah was amazing! She seemed so nice upon arrival and our dog very willingly went with her when it was time for us to leave. She sent us photo updates throughout the night which was much appreciated and our dog seemed so happy. Would definitely recommend her!

Wawa came back very happy and in a playful mood. He settled down into his bed with his toy he had during his stay shortly after coming home. I think he had a ton of fun. Kathleen was very responsive and took great pictures so we knew they were all good together.

First time using Rover in Dana Point. When I picked up my dogs they were coming back from their walk with Matthew and both dogs were very happy with their tongues out and tails wagging. Pictures also showed both dogs playing with dog toys and happy. I will for sure ask him to sit my dogs again! Very pleased 😃

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Dana Point commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
