About: I’ve been a dog owner since 2013 where I was responsible for feeding, walking, grooming and giving my dog daily exercise activities. I also previously watched dogs for families and friends before apps like Rover came out. I’ve always been naturally friendly with dogs and they take a liking to me. Right now I’m available weekdays. I do work part-time as a sports coach in the afternoons. I do my best to be very present to support my wife and first born seven month old girl. I’m able to walk our fur pals whether their are crated or not with care. Our two dogs (a pure miniature Corgi and white Canaan) used to be crated for when my wife and I went to work. Eventually I worked from home so they didn’t have to be crated during the day. My wife and I moved back home with her parents so our dogs live with my mother on their property.
About: I have had all different kinds of dogs my whole life. They have all lived long and healthy lives. I also always dog sit for my friends when they are out of town. I am currently working part time at a gymnastics gym for kids but I will usually work on the weekends. I have school in the mornings Monday-Wednesday. Anytime after that or any other day of the week I’m free to pet sit. I have 3 pets at home. They all get along and play around a lot. I walk them daily and make sure they have water at all times and feed them when it’s time.
About: Thanks for visiting my profile. I’m a dependable and caring pet lover who understands that your pets are family. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays, I focus on making your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m attentive to routines, feeding schedules, and all those little details that keep tails wagging and whiskers happy. You will receive clear communication, updates, and plenty of photos. I've got experience walking dogs, overnight stays and administering medication. I have two dogs and a cat myself, and I consider my animals family. I will treat yours the same! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work remotely and have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide walks, drop-ins, and visits throughout the day. This ensures I can give pets the time, attention, and consistency they deserve. Ensuring your pet's safety is a top priority. I promise to make sure your furry loved one(s) are always in a safe environment. I also have experience administering medication if needed.
About: I’ve taken care of my cat ever since I was 7 years old, and has had a dog ever since 11. Also have had a lot of exposure to different types of dogs and cats throughout my life! I’m currently a high school senior, available on weekdays after 3 pm, and occasionally weekends during the mornings. I love being active and taking care of animals on my free time! For my cat, I keep a very safe and welcoming environment to make sure sue never feels lonely, but also give her enough personal space to relax.
“Amisha is a friendly and kind person and was so great with my pup. She has excellent communication and we are so happy we found her to take care of our little pup! Thank you Amisha :)”

“Mariia was so reassuring, positive and caring for our pup with diabetes. So important to have someone you can count on like Mariia. Great communication! Will definitely recommend and book ourselves in the future. Thank You”

“We had Jennifer pop in to watch our cat every day for 2 weeks. She was so sweet with Foo and took great care of him. Was so nice knowing our cat was in great hands while we were on vacation. Will definitely be using her again!”

I’ve cared for all kinds, including a disabled Jack Russell, and my two beloved Boxers who are no longer with us. My 5-year-old son, Jackson, adores animals too, and together we’d love to welcome your pup into our home and treat them like family. I work from home full-time and am available every day to provide attentive, consistent care. Your pet will receive the best possible treatment and plenty of love while staying with us. I have a fenced backyard with grass, perfect for safe playtime. I also love going on walks and will make sure your pet gets lots of exercise and attention, just let me know their routine!
About: Hi! I provide dependable pet care with a focus on consistency, communication, and flexibility. I enjoy spending time with animals, and I take the responsibility of caring for them seriously. Since I don’t currently have pets of my own, I’m able to be flexible and give each pet my full attention. I stick closely to routines, follow care instructions, and make sure your pet is comfortable while you’re away! If you’re looking for someone reliable, responsive, and easy to work with, I’d be happy to help! I am currently taking time off from working to reset and travel locally. I will have plenty of time to take care of your animals and I am available for overnight stays or multiple check in's through the day. I consistently adhere to the animals current schedules especially when it comes to feeding times and walks to reduce any anxiety while you are away. I am available to pet sit in your home but I am unable to host your pets in my apartment building.
“Eileen was amazing!! She cared for our kitten (1.5 years) everyday for a week over the holidays. He had never been left alone for this long before so we were a little nervous to leave him. He is usually shy around strangers but he warmed right up to her; she gave him so much love & attention, and sent us daily updates with photos & videos to show us how well he was doing. Will definitely re-book with a Eileen in the future. Highly recommend!”
About: I have helped my mom care for animals my entire life. Throughout my teenage year I helped her care for 3 pit bulls and also helped at the shelter that she worked at walking the dogs and feeding the animals. As I grew older I had my own animals, such as a cat, lizard, multiple mice, and a dog I had trained from a puppy. I have recently moved and had to rehome my dog and would now like to use my experiences and love for animals to help other people. I am currently unemployed, on a job search and not having much luck… I have open availability for house sitting and playing with your pups! When I care for other people animals I start with going over the instructions of care the owners has provided with them while asking questions that will benefit me and the animals later. I then follow the feeding, exercising, and cleaning practices the owner has asked me to follow. While doing this I also watch how the animal is reacting to me and how much affection the animal itself needs from me, so I’m not overwhelming them.

About: Hi my name is Kohana! I regularly volunteer at the Monterey Salinas SPCA where I am trained to take dogs on walks, clean up dog & cat waste, and ensure their happiness. It is important to me to practice comfort for the animals through tasks such as : a constant clean & safe environment, adequate feeding, clean water, and playing. I would also love to brush your pet if you would like. I can handle large dogs and puppies (not bottle fed young). I take dogs out from the shelter where we get to go outside of the shelter together (ie beach, hikes, etc). When I take puppies out or energetic dogs I like to practice good behaviors and positive reinforcement. I know how to behave around animals where their comfort is my priority and our relationship is at their pace, I know some animals can be timid (especially cats). I am trained to take care of dogs, cats, and other animals as well. Please message me if you have any questions! I am available at most times. I am available at all times except: MonWed 2-5:15, TuesThurs 12-1:15 (free here) 4-5:15. I can pet/house sit but would have to step out for those times. I grew up with the notion of "leave things better than you found it" and the importance of respect, especially in the space of someone else. I would love to provide comfort to you through the ensured safety of your animal and your home.
About: I have been around animals my entire life, growing up with 2 dogs, then fostering kittens, having a hamster, two rabbits, and horses. Animals are very important to my live and are a big passion of mine. I have been the sole caretaker of the foster kittens for about 6 years, and have a cat of my own at college with me. My family also has a dog who I grew up with, Finn, and several family cats. We also have two horses who I have ridden and cared for for 10 years, and miss everyday I'm at school. I do have classes throughout the week, but with an hour to two long gaps, I have plenty of time to visit during the day. I would not be able to care for pets in my home, but I can visit to let them into the yard, take them for walks, feed them, or just keep them company.
About: I have always loved taking care of animals, whether it be cleaning up after them, training, washing, walking, and playing with them. Though I was brought up since day one with 3 cats, and was the primary caretaker for each one, I’ve always had friends with dogs I could help take care of. I have worked all types of pups from German Shepherds, Pit-Bulls, Dachshunds, a grown Mastiff, and a variety of mixes of all ages and sizes! I love them like my own! I recently moved to the area and started to work remotely. Since moving, pet sitting and dog walking have become part of the daily routine. I do have a prior engagement on Tuesdays, but can be available in the afternoons. I try and understand the animal’s personality first, gain their trust second, and provide as much love and support as last. Every animal is different so I make it a mission to talk with my client’s and gain as much insight as possible. After that, my clients can expect a million photos and videos of their pets whether that’s on walks, they’re pets eating, or just getting a bell rub and cuddles! I try my best to keep them as active as possible while ensuring their safety is taken into consideration.
About: I‘ve had pets my whole life, from gold fish to cats and dogs and even a mouse. I‘d love to help take care of your pet as though they were my own. I am fully available to care for pets. I do not have any limitations to my availability at this time. I‘m open to dog walking or overnight stays. When caring for your pet, I will be focused on their well being and safety. I will take care of them as if they were my own and give them my focus and attention.
“Kelsey was our first dog sitter using this app, and she was wonderful! She agreed to a meet and greet with our dog before the at home sitting, which was very kind. When it came time for the actual sitting, she arrived right on time, and sent several photos and updates. We felt so lucky to find Kelsey because she has the same breed dog as us, and it felt so reassuring having someone watching our dog who has full familiarity of the breed!”

About: As someone who loves simple joys like long walks and spending time outdoors, dog walking felt like a natural fit. My family has four amazing dogs — Weimaraners and Bernedoodles — and I greatly enjoy caring for them, whether that's going on walks, feeding them, or curling up for cuddles after long walks on the beach. I know how important it is to trust someone with your dog, and I promise to care for yours with the same love and attention I give my own family dogs. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available for walks and drop-in visits throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I love being active and spending time outdoors, so fitting dog walks into my day is something I genuinely enjoy. Whether your pup needs a quick potty break, a long walk, or some extra love and attention while you're away, I'm happy to help! I know how important it is to trust someone with your dog because my family's dogs have always been cherished members of our family. Safety, patience, and communication are my top priorities. I'm attentive to each dog's personality, energy level, and comfort, and I always aim to create a calm, positive experience whether we're out on a walk or spending time together at home. Having cared for energetic Weimaraners and affectionate Bernedoodles, I'm comfortable with larger breeds and understand the importance of consistency, exercise, and lots of love. I'll treat your pup with the same care and attention I would give my own family dogs, so you can feel confident they're in safe and loving hands.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Capistrano Beach
I was really impressed with Kelsey's kind and sweet ways with my Sammy! He doesn't warm up to easily, and this would have been the very first time I would have left him with a sitter. I have got to say Sam liked Kelsey very much, and came and laid by her, and ate his treats, and really warmed up to her and made me feel oh so comfortable for when I do have to leave him in the future. Kelsey sent me notices when she was on her way here and had wonderful conversation with me once she got here, since I was unable to attend my trip. She was so caring, I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again to take care of Sam, especially now that I have gotten to know her, and was able to see her interact with my precious Sammy. Kelsey was Great!
Huiwen was great! Communication went very well. She was flexible, she spent some time with our little puppy, I felt nervous leaving him for the first time. But she made me feel very comfortable. She took great care of our little guy and we will definitely be booking to use her services again.
Helena was amazing! She showed up right on time, kept us updated with sweet pictures and check-ins, took Bean on a fun walk, and gave him so much love and attention. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in such great hands. Looking forward to having her watch Bean again.

Isabelle was the best! We rarely ever leave our dogs - they are very attached to us. Both our babies instantly took a liking to Isabelle at the meet and greet. She learned their individual routines quickly and efficiently and made them feel so comfortable. She was the sweetest and provided us with multiple updates and photos a day ♥️! Couldn’t thank her enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
