“Both of our dogs loved Ashley and her family instantly! She and her family were so sweet, and we felt completely comfortable leaving them in her care! She was great about sending pictures and keeping me updated about how they were doing! We will definitely use her again and highly recommend her!”

“Our Maggie stayed with Taylor while we were gone for spring break. She had a great time and was well cared for. It’s important to me as a Dog Mom to know that my girl is well cared for while I am away and she came home wore out from all the playing with her new fur friends that she met.”

“Erin and Matthew were amazing with our medical Great Dane. They sent a daily update with a picture. Our guy is pretty nervous and they were patient with him. They administer medication daily. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience as a first time user of Rover. I would highly recommend and plan to use them again in the future!”

About: I began volunteering at my local animal shelter at the age of 9 and have been caring for animals ever since. I have 20 years experience pet sitting for neighbors and I have my own 6 year old pitbull, Cleo, so I’m no stranger to energetic dogs. I’m a teacher, so my summers give me full flexibility to care for your animals! I love to walk dogs on local greenways and trails. I have a fenced in backyard where your dog can play. If they like to play with a buddy, my dog will be their best friend!
“She is someone who is incredibly devoted to animals; her dedication and love are boundless. I had the absolute best experience knowing that Mia was staying in a home filled with plenty of attention, patience, and love. Karlie is always in constant communication, too. She has dogs of her own, and they truly made Mia's stay much more fun, as Mia is super friendly. Mia returned home ready to sleep and rest after days filled with fun and endless running around—in fact, she didn't even want to leave, given how wonderfully she had been treated at Karlie's house!”

“Sydney was wonderful with both my mini schnauzers. She took care of their every need and gave them lots of love. We have rebooked with her for several more dates and will continue to book with her for boarding in her home.”

“Jody took amazing care of our boy Sam while we were gone! Sam is not the easiest dog in the world to care for, he has extra medical and anxiety needs, and Jody didn't hesitate to take him on. She provided ample daily updates, sent pictures and videos, and communicated promptly any time we reached out for an update. Thank you, Jody! The Fultz Family and Sam appreciate you!”

“Miko always loves going to hang out with Maribel and Carl. They take great care of him and make sure he gets good outdoor time. Always communicative and flexible with my ever changing plans.”

“Elise was absolutely amazing! Our pup didn’t want to leave! Elisa had great communication and even cooked eggs for him when he wouldn’t eat. Our pup got along great with Lennie too, I got so many pics of them playing! I highly recommend Elise and we will definitely be using her services again!”

“Olivia always has been so wonderful to Gatsby. Always making sure Gatsby gets her exercise. The whole family has been so understanding and so delightful to see. We always trust Olivia and Samantha to keep Gatsby as she feels comfortable & so happy to stay with them. We all are so excited to visit her favorite dog sitter again! “Been our second time using Carmen. Our dogs always had a great time and really nice that she has a fenced in back yard. Carmen also provided crates so we didn’t have to bring ours. Quick to responses and well priced. Would use again and do recommend!”

About: Lifelong dog lover with 11 years of hands-on experience raising and training high-energy sporting dogs for competition. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, medication, training reinforcement, and providing a safe, structured environment. Whether your dog needs exercise, attention, or just a calm place to relax, I treat every pup like my own. As I near retirement, I have the flexibility and availability to provide attentive, in-home care for your dog. Your pet will enjoy a calm, consistent environment with plenty of time for exercise, supervision, and companionship giving you peace of mind while you’re away. Your dog will have plenty of space to enjoy, with a large fenced yard and access to 144 acres of farmland for safe, supervised nature walks. I offer both indoor kennels and covered outdoor kennels with four private runs, providing comfort, security, and flexibility to meet each dog’s needs.
About: The house my parents moved into when I was only 4 weeks old was unfortunately a dumping ground for unwanted animals. Before I could even walk, I was cuddling with any animal that showed up at our door. This instilled a passion within me that I can finally turn into a profession. From Rescue and fostering to training dogs and showing horses, animals have always been a huge part of my life. In addition to my Management degree, I have an Associate of Science Degree with a major in Animal Science and a specialization in Agriculture. I completed an AKC handlers’ course which focused on reading your dog’s body language to understand their needs. Being so heavily involved in rescue, I have history and experience in dealing with reactive and/or selective dogs. I have many safety features depending on the animals needs including crates, double hung baby gates and 6 ft chain link fence that is separated into two yards. I also offer pet waste removal services. Feel free to send me a note if you have any questions. After a successful 25year business management career, I am now turning my lifetime passion of animal care into a profession. This year I started up my own business, "G'MA DOES". I offer a range of services from dog walking and pet sitting to animal waste removal. I like to stay active! While I have learned a tremendous amount of knowledge from multiple trainers, what I hold most dear is the ongoing information I take in from animal behaviorists such as Cesar Millan. Remember, when you first meet a strange dog practice NO TOUCH, NO TALK, NO EYE CONTACT! *LICENSED AND INSURED* In my house we call it "FURniture" for a reason. I use the "crate and rotate" regimen as needed and for feeding. I also have baby gates at every doorway. My entire backyard is a 6 ft chain length fence and I have it separated into two secured areas for exercise. Inside, one room is a dedicated cat room for litterboxes toys etc. The other two bedrooms will be dedicated safe spaces used for play, overnight stays, or whatever the situation calls for.
“My dog loved staying at Rebekah’s! She’s been sleeping since she got back home :) Rebekah prioritizes the animals’ safety and socialization, and I’ll definitely rebook in the future.”

“Russell was in great hands with Vanda. She took great care of him and sent plenty of pictures. We spend quite a bit of time in Lynchburg and hope to ask her to watch him again.”
“David and Linda were very communicative and cooperative by providing lots of updates and pictures of Chico. They took great care of my pup, spent a lot of time with him and made sure he was comfortable and happy. I highly recommend their services and will definitely go with them again in the future”

Salem pet parents share their Rover experiences
Katelyn took wonderful care of our dog for 5 nights at her home. Even though our dog had some challenges settling in on the first day, she was very patient and found a way to work through it so he could feel comfortable and well cared for. She kept us updated the entire time and sent us pictures regularly, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. She was kind, supportive, and very attentive. Our dog was definitely happy, and we truly appreciate everything she did to make the experience go smoothly. Thank you so much, Katelyn! ❤️

We just used Rebecca for our first long trip since getting established with her. She experienced a death in the family while we were gone. She coordinated with our emergency contact to hand off care of our Beagle so she could attend the funeral, but I have no doubt that she would have missed the funeral rather than leave us in a bind while we were in Europe. Her exceptional care of LuLu is surpassed only by her personal integrity. Thank you, Rebecca, for your communication and dependability. We had confidence that you would handle this situation seamlessly, and you did.

Bailey was Amazing!!! We were worried about leaving our dog as he gets nervous when his routine is changed, especially overnight, but Bailey kept him calm and happy. He was very comfortable and looked quite at home when we picked him up which is the first time we ever saw him so chill. She sent regular updates and videos to assure us he was doing well the entire stay. I highly highly recommend her and we will definitely use her again!!! She is the best!!
