“Gussie did a wonderful job taking care of Simba, our geriatric Lionhead bunny. She was on time, followed instructions and was excellent in helping us during a stressful time.”

“Kiera was wonderful!! She provided lots of details on my dog and my cat. Her love of her job is evident. I really appreciated the photos too! She got some really cute and funny ones. Highly recommend!!”

About: I have experience caring for both elderly and young dogs. This has equipped me with a variety of skills such as age-appropriate exercise, nutritional needs, and understanding certain behaviors and how to react. I just recently graduated high-school and need something to fill my time. Playing with your pups seems to be the best thing to fill my day! I’m free majority of the week and only work part-time as a waitress. I have a cat and dog at my house but both a friendly to other animals. If needed the animals can be put in a separate room away from clients pet.
“Zoe was great! She was always on-schedule and was very patient with my weird little girl. She does things like hiding when it's time to go out and then pulling a LOT once you finally get her out. But Zoe never complained and always hung around with the baby for a few minutes of love and play after the walk. My schedule has changed and no longer need a dog-walker, but if I ever need one again, will definitely look for her!”

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm surrounded by all sorts of creatures, and that early love has stayed with me. While I’m new to Roanoke, I previously supported the DC/NOVA area through Wag! for several years and am now looking forward to building connections with pet families here in my community. As a remote worker with a flexible schedule, I’m able to spend quality time with the animals I care for — whether they’re full of energy or need a little extra support. I’m comfortable with all kinds of animals, routines, and temperaments, and I do my best to honor what each one needs. Over the years, I’ve cared for many senior and special needs animals, including my two old-ladies, Chrissy and Raspy, who passed away this winter. I’m now kept on my toes by two playful kittens, Joan and Lirael. No matter their age, health, or temperament - I'm able to show up with consistency, patience, and care. I aim to be someone you can trust - not just to care for your animals - but to respect your home, follow routines closely, and communicate clearly while you’re away. I’m happy to accommodate last-minute bookings when I can, but advanced notice is always appreciated. Looking forward to meeting you and your fur-fam! I'm currently a remote worker with a flexible schedule. If I am staying in your home, I can work remotely from that location and keep a close eye on your pet. If I stopping in for a quick visit, I can generally drop in any time before 9am, during lunch, or after 4pm. Different times could also be arranged with some planning. I aim to be someone you can trust not just to care for your animals, but to respect your home, follow routines closely, and communicate clearly while you’re away. I’m happy to accommodate last-minute bookings when I can, but advanced notice is always appreciated.

About: I’ve had dogs all my life, and have worked with up to 50+ dogs at a time. I am practiced in medications, feedings, potty needs, and many other accommodations. I will work my schedules around weekend pet care. I am willing to contribute my time to the needs of any possible clients and their pets. I will listen to every single one of my clients needs, and I will ensure above average treatment of animals. I am more than comfortable in pet environments, and am very detail-oriented.
“Holt took excellent care of my old "girl". I probably booked her care inappropriately for while I vacationed. I booked her for 3 - 30min walks a day and it was to much for her. While communicating with Holt we changed her care to suit her better. I appreciated that!”

About: I have been taking care of my pets since I was around 10. I have 2 cats and a dog of my own. I foster dogs with my mother, which we have been doing for 3 years and have placed many dogs in wonderful homes. I really enjoy walking dogs and taking them on hikes for whatever exercise they need to get out. I watch a bunch of family friends pets and some people who live nearby to me, so I do have experience with that as well. I’m currently in college, but am home for the summer. I do not have much going on so I am feel all the time basically. I would be able to be very flexible for whatever you pet needs. I have my own dog who loves to play with other dogs if they are comfortable otherwise she has a crate. If your pet is crated I have extra crates if needed and I keep a timely feeding with my dog between 6-7am and 5-6pm. There is always water out. I do have some cats in the home where I reside.
About: I care for my four cats at home and have taken care of dogs for my neighbors and friends. I like giving individual care to every pet I care for and ensuring your daily routines are kept with your pet. I interact, play, and take care of my pets nearly all day. Daily feedings, cleaning, and keeping of general well-being are part of my daily routine. I try to stay consistent with your routine for your pet to create a familiar environment for your furry friend. Whether drop-in care, overnight stays, or walks, I put effort into maintaining the environment that is right for your pet.
About: I’ve grown up taking care of family dogs and cats, and now have two 6 year old cats of my own! Additionally, I’ve volunteered at the RVSPCA with the cats weekly for the past two and a half years. I work Tuesdays through Fridays but am available late evenings every night and all day on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays to take care of all your pet needs! I like to treat every pet like they are my own, and will always do everything in my power to make sure that they remain safe and feel like they are in a safe environment while you are away.
About: I’ve been around all types of animals ever since I was born- ranging from small dogs, large dogs, cats, reptiles, and avians! I enjoy taking care of fur-babies of different species. Working in veterinary medicine for 5 years and on-going has taught me a lot about taking more in-depth care of our fur-babies. From medicating with pills to injections or even handling them on case to case basis. I currently work full-time as a veterinary assistant from 7-5 and I am willing to work with schedules if need be! I’m available almost every weekend and have Thursday as a day off. My schedule is flexible and very open! I’m comfortable with leash walking, fenced in back-yards, and crating. Feeding on a schedule and making sure that they will get the potty breaks and exercise they need!
About: I have assisted with dogs my entire life and they have always been in the best care and never needed for anything while with me. I have unlimited time to devote to pet-sitting especially during the day and any dog will be my sole responsibility while my son is in school. I will always give them my undivided attention and interact and care for them as if they were my own and make them the focus.

About: As someone who has worked at pet stores, kennels, and a veterinary hospital in addition to regular pet sitting, caring for animals is second nature to me. My pet-sitting experience includes daily dog walking for owners who work long hours, multiple daily visits for travelers whose dogs do better at home rather than a kennel, and daily check-ins for puppies who need more frequent trips outdoors while they are house-breaking. As an animal-lover, I truly enjoy the time I get to spend with your pet while you work or vacation. I believe exercise, a predictable schedule and one-on-one care are key to your dog having a relaxing and anxiety-free separation from you. I'm completely dedicated to spending time with your pet when you aren't able to. I have a very flexible schedule and will prioritize keeping your pet on a regular feeding and potty schedule that suits his or her needs. I tend to take the advice of the pet owner about their pet’s safety needs. They know their pet better than anyone. I always provide feedback if I notice anything unusual. For example: - Ginger seemed to be limping a bit on our walk today - Max didn’t have much of an appetite this morning - Echo grabbed something when she was in the back yard and ate it before I could see what it was - just giving you a heads up!
