About: I have pet sit other dogs prior but the one dog that sticks out is my sister’s black lab. Shakira was a black lab mutt with an auto immune disease. She needed twice daily medication and to be taken out side frequently. I work nights as a custodian for a school district ! So I’m available early to mid mornings for walks or house sitting over the weekends. As I have a cat, my number one priority for him is always making sure the doors are shut. He’s an indoor kitty and I ensure that it stays that way. Always guaranteed to have food and water and a clean litter box.

About: I have been caring for a large variety of animals since I was 13, including dogs, cats, reptiles and small mammals. I have worked in various pet care positions including wildlife rehabilitation, animal educator, and pet care specialist. I have done volunteer work with local shelters and rehabilitation centers since I could work. I am known within my community as the "animal girl" and am frequently contacted for advice, care, and pet sitting. I am fairly new to this app, but am definitely not new to caring for any kind of animal big or small. I currently work at Stony Brook University mon-fri 12pm-4pm. Any times outside of that range I should be available for! I am very flexible with my time and if you absolutely need care in that time frame, I may be able to shift my schedule for the day. I currently do not offer services in my home as I have a dog who takes a while to warm up to strangers. Future opportunities may be available, but right now I am prioritizing her comfortability.

About: My background in canine care began at the Little Shelter Animal Adoption Center in Huntington, NY in 2008. I was employed there for several years as a dog walker and socializer, working with a wide variety of dogs and puppies from many different walks of life. All of the dogs were rescues, and so special care needed to be provided, with exercise, playtime, feeding, and even medication distribution. After working at the shelter, I found myself at a few local grooming parlors, working as a bather. As you've probably experienced, most dogs do not love being bathed and groomed, and so I would try my very best to make them comfortable in the unfamiliar situation they were in, taking the time to check in on them frequently and give them lots of reassurance and loving. Patience goes a long way! In January of 2015 I had my first two-month long house and pet sitting job. However, since then I've been working a full time office job and have been unable to enjoy much time with canine companions. I will regularly pet sit for close friends and family, but I'm ready to spend more time around furry friends! I'd love to meet you and your pup and ensure that they're properly taken care of and loved while you're out on the weekend, working, or away on vacation! I don’t get off until 5 PM. Anything after five works for me I’m very friendly with animals very loving towards them. About: I’ve always had animals in my life and taken care of dogs and cats since I was little. There is nothing quite like having a pet; nurturing it yourself, forming that special bond and learning all those quirks that make each animal special. My own dog Maxie is very social and even at 10 years old is super playful. I wanted to be a pet sitter because I enjoy being around animals and taking care of them. It always makes my day meeting a new dog. I am comfortable with any kind of breed and any age. My hours are flexible and I have over 20 years experience. I am a teacher, I generally work from 7-2 but I available before 7 to make sure they are well fed. I can also come back on my lunch breaks to make sure they get some play time and need to go for walks as well as anytime after 2:30. I am also available on Saturdays and most Sundays. I would bring toys and treats for your fur baby so that they feel comfortable with me. I would ask their owners what their routine is and if they have any medical concerns I should be aware of. I would send them pictures of their pets throughout the day and keep their owners regularly updated on how they are doing. I normally walk my dog 3 times a day and feed him twice a day ( morning and night ) with snacks in the middle of the day with plenty of water and potty breaks. I would be doing the same things too. I usually play with my dog first thing when I get home and before we go to bed. I would do the same things too when I pet sit.

He is great with more high energy and active dogs, going on long walks, or runs and hikes with them. I work full time where I commute Monday-Friday. Weekends I’m home. My Fiancé also works full time but he gets out a little earlier than I do. For weekend stays we are available to give your furry family the most attention and care. If there is need during the week I’m usually away from home for 10 hours during the day including my commute time to and from work. We will walk and feed them before we leave in the morning and as soon as either of us gets home will do the same and then again before bedtime. In our home, pets are cared for in a calm, safe environment. We live on the second floor of a house in a suburban neighborhood with sidewalks, which allows for safe, structured walks. While we don’t have direct yard access, we make sure dogs get regular walks, exercise, and attention. I also have a senior cat who is naturally shy and takes time to warm up, so I’m very understanding of pets who may be anxious or need a slower, more gentle approach. In a client’s home, I focus on maintaining your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or quiet time. I’m attentive to their behavior and needs, and I always aim to make them feel comfortable and secure while you’re away.

However, our situation has changed, and we are currently taking care of my mom's corgi mix due to her illness.
