About: My background in canine care began at the Little Shelter Animal Adoption Center in Huntington, NY in 2008. I was employed there for several years as a dog walker and socializer, working with a wide variety of dogs and puppies from many different walks of life. All of the dogs were rescues, and so special care needed to be provided, with exercise, playtime, feeding, and even medication distribution. After working at the shelter, I found myself at a few local grooming parlors, working as a bather. As you've probably experienced, most dogs do not love being bathed and groomed, and so I would try my very best to make them comfortable in the unfamiliar situation they were in, taking the time to check in on them frequently and give them lots of reassurance and loving. Patience goes a long way! In January of 2015 I had my first two-month long house and pet sitting job. However, since then I've been working a full time office job and have been unable to enjoy much time with canine companions. I will regularly pet sit for close friends and family, but I'm ready to spend more time around furry friends! I'd love to meet you and your pup and ensure that they're properly taken care of and loved while you're out on the weekend, working, or away on vacation! I'm currently working part-time, with a very flexible schedule, so there's a good chance I'll be able to accommodate your scheduling needs! Reach out to me with any questions. About: I have pet sit other dogs prior but the one dog that sticks out is my sister’s black lab. Shakira was a black lab mutt with an auto immune disease. She needed twice daily medication and to be taken out side frequently. I work nights as a custodian for a school district ! So I’m available early to mid mornings for walks or house sitting over the weekends. As I have a cat, my number one priority for him is always making sure the doors are shut. He’s an indoor kitty and I ensure that it stays that way. Always guaranteed to have food and water and a clean litter box.

About: Hello! I’m new to Rover and would love to have the chance to care for your pets! I have grown up with dogs my whole life, mostly small (i love big dogs too!) and a variety of breeds! I’ve also had experience with dogs of all ages from puppies to senior so I understand the demands of all stages of life. I also have experience training basic commands. I am currently working full time so my availability is weekday evenings after 5:30 pm, weekends (all day), and Mondays late afternoon-evening after 3 pm I have a fenced in yard with a lot of room for your dog to run around! I have a mini poodle who would never hurt a fly, he’s getting old but still a puppy at heart. He is very friendly and will keep your dog company! With a crate provided, there is room to set that up as well.

About: I have been a dog walker for my neighbor for 5 years. I have experienced in pet sitting small and big dogs, as well as puppies and senior dogs. In my free time I walk senior dogs from a shelter. Over these years and with all my experiences, I have learned dog expressions and warning signs which help me to prevent dogs from any triggering behavior. I’m am a college student and work a weekend job. During the week after classes I have free time to dog walk. I keep my calendar updated regularly for any days where I might not be available throughout the week. I live in an apartment, which is why I choose only small to medium sized dogs to board. I have a large yard that is fenced except for the driveway entrance, for your pets safety I only take dogs into the yard with a leash and as always constant supervision.

About: Hello! My name is Brittany and I have had animals my whole life, Growing up I always had dogs and cats, and still do! I'm very passionate about animals. My day job is working with special needs adults which has taught me a lot of patience and understanding for all behaviors! My job is very flexible and I will never accept a task I cannot fully commit to. If I accept your booking I will be there for your animals 100% of the time. I own one dog and 3 cats at my house. My backyard is spacious and completely fenced in, all animals will be supervised at all times, especially when in the backyard because I do have a pool. All of my animals are very well trained and friendly towards others and will not be scared or aggressive towards other dogs and cats. Rooms separate from any animals are available for small animals such as fish, hamsters, bunnies and more, that will never come in contact with any of my cats so they are not stressed out!

About: I have taken care of a variety of dog breeds and pets for years. I have been entrusted by neighbors, family, and friends to care for their pets' specific needs and wants. No request is too big or small to provide for the joy returned to me whether it's my own fur babies or yours. I have time at the moment to help as many pets as possible. I can try my best to accommodate whatever time you may need. I am unable to host pets in my apartment. So while I miss my own pets back home, I can help some busy owners give some attention and enrichment to their pets.
