We loved that we were able to have a meet and greet with her and with our dog, and that she is so careful about the dogs' temperaments before she accepts them, so they will all be safe interacting with each other. She has a big house and a big yard. Our dog had a wonderful time playing with the other boarding dogs for a week (she sent a great video!) and came home healthy, happy, and very tired. “Couldn't be more thrilled ...our 1 year old Shih Tzu who is still learning and is an overactive puppy can be a bit much to watch all day; so we were very concerned about leaving her with strangers overnight. However Theresa was fantastic not only did she allow us to bring all Peanut's stuff (pack and play crib/playpen and tons of toys, pillow, blanket, doggy dishes etc.) but she understood the fact that because this was all new to our young dog she especially took pains to know what Peanut's needs were. At first Peanut did not even want to enter the home and shied away from Theresa but Theresa took the time to win over Peanut and by the time we left her she was playing with her toys. Theresa sent us pictures of Peanut playing and having fun. We were especially happy knowing Theresa only takes one dog at a time in her home because our dog is small and young and doesn't know how to socialize with other pets (our vet wouldn't allow this until all her shots were completed) and Peanut is from a home with only adults and no small children we worried that other sitters who take in more than one dog or had their own pet might become a problem. However Theresa's policy of only one dog at a time who also doesn't have her own pet, and doesn't have numerous children which might be a concern for pets unused to active kids. Theresa's dog sitting arrangement was an ideal win win for us and Peanut. She will become our dogs sitter from now on as Peanut loved her and her family and now we can relax whenever we need to go out of town or just need a sitter for a day. Thank you Theresa and family you were the best!”

About: My background in cat care began in The League for Animal Protection of Huntington, NY in 2007. I volunteered there as an animal care associate, working with a variety of kittens and cats from many different walks of life. All of the cats were rescues, and so special care needed to be provided, with socialization, feeding, and even medication distribution. In January of 2015 I had my first two-month long house- and cat-sitting job. After that, I entered the full-time workforce and adopted my first cat and love of my life Avery. Avery has since passed, but my home is now occupied by his feline brothers (in spirit): Handsome and Bubbles. They bring me more joy than I could ever imagine! About: I've always had a special connection with dogs. Ever since primary school, I volunteered to walk all my neighbors' dogs and would stay to play with them for hours—tug-of-war and frisbee were our favorites. I've walked dogs of all sizes, sometimes up to three at a time. Getting my own puppy was the best thing in the world for me, and I naturally have endless patience for animals. Throughout college, I walked and sat for my piano professor's dog for years—around the neighborhood, and I also drove him to dog parks and beaches. On top of that, I've volunteered at an animal shelter, cleaning dog and cat rooms and socializing with the animals. I currently can't have a dog of my own because I fly in and out for work. That's why I'm doing this part-time — it's never an assembly line for me. Each dog gets my full, individual attention, and I truly make friends with every one of them. I'm a sound designer and composer working on contract-based stage productions, which gives me a flexible schedule. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine — I walk dogs at least three times a day, feed them as many times as requested, and make sure they get plenty of playtime outside of my work hours. Since I'm not working a rigid 9-to-5, I can easily adjust my day around each dog's needs, whether that means extra cuddles, a longer walk, or a spontaneous trip to the dog park. Plus, because I fly in and out for work and can't have my own dog right now, caring for other people's dogs is something I genuinely look forward to and prioritize every single day. I live in a first-floor condo apartment in a neighborhood with lots of green areas — perfect for dogs who love quick potty breaks and longer sniffing walks. I let dogs free roam throughout my home and they're absolutely allowed on furniture. I treat every dog as if they were my own, which means lots of freedom, comfort, and attention. Since I do this part-time, I never have more than two unfamiliar dogs at once, so each dog gets a calm, focused environment. I'm extremely respectful of their space and routines — I follow all feeding, walking, and medication instructions to the letter, and I always leave things cleaner than I found them.

About: I had a cat when I was young which I took care of. Along with the cat, I’ve had various beta fish each living beyond expected life spans. When I was 17-19, I took care of my neighbor’s cat while they were on vacation. I’ve also helped take care of my grandmother’s dog for the past 5 years. I take her for walks and play with her. “Rachel and Henrik (and their two wonderful kids!) watched our two Goldendoodles for the weekend, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. From the start, it was clear this was a perfect fit—we did a meet-and-greet beforehand, and instantly felt comfortable. Their home is beautiful, clean, and has a great backyard where our dogs had plenty of space to run and play. More importantly, our dogs were treated like part of the family—they got tons of attention, snuggles, and care all weekend. We also really appreciated the frequent updates and photos, which gave us total peace of mind. When we dropped them off, our dogs were so excited they ran right in without hesitation—that says everything. You can truly tell how much Rachel and Henrik love dogs and care for them as their own. One of the nicest families we’ve met, and we felt completely at ease knowing our dogs were so well cared for. We will absolutely be using them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional dog care.”

“Alejandro was great with our 5 month old puppy Shrek. He sent us lots of videos of Shrek on walks, and socializing with other dogs. It was our first time leaving Shrek and and the videos and frequent communication with Alejandro was very comforting. Bizcocho was a great playmate too. Since Shrek is a puppy and still learning it is important to us that he be around friendly dogs like him. The next time we need to leave Shrek with someone Alejandro and Bizcocho are our first choice. Thanks Alejandro!”

“Couldn't be more thrilled ...our 1 year old Shih Tzu who is still learning and is an overactive puppy can be a bit much to watch all day; so we were very concerned about leaving her with strangers overnight. However Theresa was fantastic not only did she allow us to bring all Peanut's stuff (pack and play crib/playpen and tons of toys, pillow, blanket, doggy dishes etc.) but she understood the fact that because this was all new to our young dog she especially took pains to know what Peanut's needs were. At first Peanut did not even want to enter the home and shied away from Theresa but Theresa took the time to win over Peanut and by the time we left her she was playing with her toys. Theresa sent us pictures of Peanut playing and having fun. We were especially happy knowing Theresa only takes one dog at a time in her home because our dog is small and young and doesn't know how to socialize with other pets (our vet wouldn't allow this until all her shots were completed) and Peanut is from a home with only adults and no small children we worried that other sitters who take in more than one dog or had their own pet might become a problem. However Theresa's policy of only one dog at a time who also doesn't have her own pet, and doesn't have numerous children which might be a concern for pets unused to active kids. Theresa's dog sitting arrangement was an ideal win win for us and Peanut. She will become our dogs sitter from now on as Peanut loved her and her family and now we can relax whenever we need to go out of town or just need a sitter for a day. Thank you Theresa and family you were the best!”

Right before we left for our 10 day trip, nori got very sick and we were worried about leaving her behind. However jinay, assured us she'd be well taken care of. She easily followed the schedule we set for food and medications (multiple types with different times for dosage) and provided frequent pictures and updates, which allowed us to really enjoy our vacation. In our home, every animal is treated like family. I provide a clean, safe, and active space with multiple walks, a fenced yard for play, and individualized routines. Through my experience caring for Kayne, who required special medical attention, I learned how to adapt to any level of care whether it’s energetic puppies or older companions needing extra comfort.
