We added another pup this time and Emma was welcoming to her as well. Dowdy, my granddaughters Chesapeake Bay Retriever can be a little excitable so we had a short meet and greet before we left for the evening. The meet and greet went exceptionally well so we felt very comfortable leaving all three of our furry girls with Emma and Trent. About: My background in canine care began at the Little Shelter Animal Adoption Center in Huntington, NY in 2008. I was employed there for several years as a dog walker and socializer, working with a wide variety of dogs and puppies from many different walks of life. All of the dogs were rescues, and so special care needed to be provided, with exercise, playtime, feeding, and even medication distribution. After working at the shelter, I found myself at a few local grooming parlors, working as a bather. As you've probably experienced, most dogs do not love being bathed and groomed, and so I would try my very best to make them comfortable in the unfamiliar situation they were in, taking the time to check in on them frequently and give them lots of reassurance and loving. Patience goes a long way! In January of 2015 I had my first two-month long house and pet sitting job. However, since then I've been working a full time office job and have been unable to enjoy much time with canine companions. I will regularly pet sit for close friends and family, but I'm ready to spend more time around furry friends! Jess was incredible! This was our first time using a dog sitter that did drop in visits. We usually board at the a big name store. Jess was so nice and caring to our two dogs.
