“Sarah was great at stopping by and caring for my two cats. I almost think to good, my cats didn't seem to miss me when I got back. Sarah sent photos and spent time with them so they didn't feel neglected. Sarah also went above and beyond by shoveling snow! It snowed while I was away and Sarah cleared the walk way and some of the driveway. Plus she also let the cats have some outdoor time in the snow (they are indoor/outdoor cats so it was good that they got some outdoor time while I was away so things seemed normal).”

About: If you require a morning walker or need someone to run a few miles with your energetic dog, I am your person. I have experience with various types and sizes of pets. I am also very meticulous about their needs and yours. Please let me know their preferences and behaviors so I can best meet their needs. As a student my schedule varies but it I am typically available for morning and afternoon services such as walks and check-ins. I could also accommodate afternoons services depending on the week and request. My weekends are typically free unless specified otherwise. Available to do dog sitting on weekends (Friday, Saturday) but message me directly for my weekday availability. If you are requesting drop-in services at your house, please let me know what your pet requires. I can offer play time, refill water and food, medication administration, brushing, and complete certain household tasks. Occasionally, if I do overday dogsitting, your dog will have a fenced-in backyard to run around in.

About: Hello! My name is Samantha, and I’ve been surrounded by fur babies my entire life. Growing up, I had two miniature poodles, one of whom had special needs. He struggled with chronic allergies and a seizure disorder, and I helped care for him with daily medications and a special diet that gave him a long, happy life until he passed at 16 years old. Today, my family includes two standard poodles, two parrots, and a rabbit. Beyond that, I also care for the wildlife around my home. I feed 20–30 blue jays daily, I feed stray cats, and I’ve built enough trust with the wild rabbits in my yard that they now let me hand-feed them. Those quiet moments with animals bring me so much joy. In high school, I pursued my passion for animal care by completing the BOCES veterinary program, where I earned two Awards of Excellence. I also hold a Veterinary Medical Assistant certification, which reflects my dedication to giving animals the love and care they deserve. I’m very used to planning my routine around a dog’s needs and making sure they feel comfortable, stimulated, and cared for consistently. Starting in June, I’ll be home full-time during the weekdays, which allows me to give pets much more attention and companionship than sitters who may be balancing another full-time job. Because of this, I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, consistent supervision, and flexible scheduling for drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. I especially love building routines that help dogs feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. I don’t believe pet care should feel rushed or transactional. About: I am a full time employee in an assisted living. I had my sweet dachshund for 17 years, and caring for her through her senior years taught me how to care and keep senior pets happy. Now I have a happy, energetic bernedoodle and two adorable bunnies at my parents house and always miss now that I am away. I I have been around both small and large dogs all of my life. About: I have been caring for a large variety of animals since I was 13, including dogs, cats, reptiles and small mammals. I have worked in various pet care positions including wildlife rehabilitation, animal educator, and pet care specialist. I have done volunteer work with local shelters and rehabilitation centers since I could work. I am known within my community as the "animal girl" and am frequently contacted for advice, care, and pet sitting. I am fairly new to this app, but am definitely not new to caring for any kind of animal big or small. I currently work at Stony Brook University mon-fri 12pm-4pm. Any times outside of that range I should be available for! I am very flexible with my time and if you absolutely need care in that time frame, I may be able to shift my schedule for the day. I currently do not offer services in my home as I have a dog who takes a while to warm up to strangers. Future opportunities may be available, but right now I am prioritizing her comfortability.
