About: I have 2.5 years of experience working as a veterinarian assistant for a family-owned and operated animal hospital. Aspects of my job include restraining, handling, medicating, feeding, grooming, bathing, and caring for any pets who may board with us at the hospital. I have comfortably handled dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, needs, and temperaments, and I am confident in my ability to care for dogs of all life stages. My schedule is extremely flexible and I am never away from home for more than four hours any day of the week, which means plenty of time for potty breaks, playtime, and feedings. I have a fully enclosed, insulated, temperature controlled, spacious gazebo on my property surrounded by a pet-proof fenced-in playpen. The inside is divided into four sections, so I can board up to four dogs no bigger than 40lbs at one time, and each pet will have his or her own space indoors for eating and sleeping. Outside, the pets will be able to interact and play, and they will always be supervised.

About: My background in cat care began in The League for Animal Protection of Huntington, NY in 2007. I volunteered there as an animal care associate, working with a variety of kittens and cats from many different walks of life. All of the cats were rescues, and so special care needed to be provided, with socialization, feeding, and even medication distribution. In January of 2015 I had my first two-month long house- and cat-sitting job. After that, I entered the full-time workforce and adopted my first cat and love of my life Avery. Avery has since passed, but my home is now occupied by his feline brothers (in spirit): Handsome and Bubbles. They bring me more joy than I could ever imagine! About: I've always had a special connection with dogs. Ever since primary school, I volunteered to walk all my neighbors' dogs and would stay to play with them for hours—tug-of-war and frisbee were our favorites. I've walked dogs of all sizes, sometimes up to three at a time. Getting my own puppy was the best thing in the world for me, and I naturally have endless patience for animals. Throughout college, I walked and sat for my piano professor's dog for years—around the neighborhood, and I also drove him to dog parks and beaches. On top of that, I've volunteered at an animal shelter, cleaning dog and cat rooms and socializing with the animals. I currently can't have a dog of my own because I fly in and out for work. That's why I'm doing this part-time — it's never an assembly line for me. Each dog gets my full, individual attention, and I truly make friends with every one of them. I'm a sound designer and composer working on contract-based stage productions, which gives me a flexible schedule. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine — I walk dogs at least three times a day, feed them as many times as requested, and make sure they get plenty of playtime outside of my work hours. Since I'm not working a rigid 9-to-5, I can easily adjust my day around each dog's needs, whether that means extra cuddles, a longer walk, or a spontaneous trip to the dog park. Plus, because I fly in and out for work and can't have my own dog right now, caring for other people's dogs is something I genuinely look forward to and prioritize every single day. I live in a first-floor condo apartment in a neighborhood with lots of green areas — perfect for dogs who love quick potty breaks and longer sniffing walks. I let dogs free roam throughout my home and they're absolutely allowed on furniture. I treat every dog as if they were my own, which means lots of freedom, comfort, and attention. Since I do this part-time, I never have more than two unfamiliar dogs at once, so each dog gets a calm, focused environment. I'm extremely respectful of their space and routines — I follow all feeding, walking, and medication instructions to the letter, and I always leave things cleaner than I found them.

There’s a certain kind of conviction when she said we’ll take care of her…and she did! She knows what she’s doing. I like that she updates us daily, responds really fast and event sent photos even without being asked. She’s not just a pro but with excellent customer service. Will definitely recommend her.”

“Rachel and Henrik (and their two wonderful kids!) watched our two Goldendoodles for the weekend, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. From the start, it was clear this was a perfect fit—we did a meet-and-greet beforehand, and instantly felt comfortable. Their home is beautiful, clean, and has a great backyard where our dogs had plenty of space to run and play. More importantly, our dogs were treated like part of the family—they got tons of attention, snuggles, and care all weekend. We also really appreciated the frequent updates and photos, which gave us total peace of mind. When we dropped them off, our dogs were so excited they ran right in without hesitation—that says everything. You can truly tell how much Rachel and Henrik love dogs and care for them as their own. One of the nicest families we’ve met, and we felt completely at ease knowing our dogs were so well cared for. “We have used John for Doggy Daycare and Dog Boarding and we could not be happier with his care for our Penny. When we adopted her she was so shy and we've been working to bring her out of her shell so we were worried when we first left her but John was so good at making us feel comfortable and allowing Penny the space to get comfortable with him. We got updated pictures, he got her to eat right on the spot (which has been a struggle) and he even had Penny out in the yard and starting to play with his dog, LaVerne. Whenever we pull up in front of John's house now, Penny's tail starts to wag and she gets so excited to see him! It's so comforting to know you are leaving your dog with someone who really cares and takes care of your animals. We are so lucky that we met John and we know Penny will have many more adventures with him! We can't recommend him enough. “We had a good experience with Alejandro and I can’t thank him enough. He accepted our dog, Bleau very last minute after another sitter no-showed, which already meant so much to us. He took the time to introduce Bleau to his dog slowly and properly, which made us feel really comfortable right away. Throughout her stay, he sent daily videos and updates, so we always knew she was doing well. We even accidentally left her bowls behind, and when we went back to pick them up, Bleau was so excited to see him again — which says everything about how well she was treated. You can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs he watches.”

I live and work from my private home. Your pup will find I have plenty of time and room to take care of them. Your VIP dog will receive loving care and boarding. Rest assuredly when you’re in need of doggie care! I have a home with a private fenced in yard and have two friendly pups of my own and a large separate area for your pets if required. Since I work from home they will not be alone, which is very nice to know.
“Kathy was an amazing pet sitter. My dog stayed for three nights and had the best time playing with her sweet dog Ollie. Kathy was incredibly attentive and kind. My dog had hurt her leg prior to going over there and she even took the time to gently massage her leg ( after checking with me) It really meant a lot knowing my dog was so cared for uncomfortable.
