“This is two reviews in one for separate visits from Jenna. I have an 18 year old, somewhat active cat who I believe had a stroke almost a year ago. She has traveled with me to 4 states and to China, with countless homes in between, so as you can image she's basically my child. She takes daily medication and her care is my #1 concern. So as you can imagine, traveling for work becomes a challenge and I hate to take her out of her element, having someone come and visit was something I really needed to consider. Since not many people live close by, nor did I want to burden them with having to make a daily trip, I decided to take a chance on this Rover app. I scrolled a little, looked at pictures and some reviews and decided to reach out to Jenna. She looked sweet, compassionate, responsible enough to take care of my little girl, so I invited her over. With such short notice, she arrived the next day (one day before I flew to a meeting), she was on time, articulate, told me she was comfortable giving medication, enthusiastic and took an interest in my cat. Since she told me she could administering medication in our initial interaction, when Jenna arrived I asked her to give Libby her daily pill. I gave a quick explanation on how I give her the pill, and Jenna was able to give her the medication without any issue. As this was my primary concern, it put my mind at ease; I knew she was perfect for me. Over that week, and during a subsequent trip, I received daily updates with pictures and comments on how Libby was doing, how active/inactive she may have been, eating, drinking, and bathroom updates. She played with her, spend time with her which meant the world knowing someone was caring after her and treating her well. I couldn't be more pleased with everything Jenna did. She even went above and beyond and in a pinch ran to my apartment to drop my key off on a day she wasn't coming. Just outstanding! *****”

“I cannot thank Aurora enough for taking such great care of my two cats for 10 days while I was away on vacation. I knew Aurora was the perfect fit for my kitties from the moment she came over for a meet and greet. They were immediately drawn to her. I knew I didn’t have to worry about going away on vacation while Aurora was looking after them. She was in constant contact with me throughout her daily drop-in visits, sent me photos of my cats during every visit and ask me questions when she wasn’t sure about something. She left my house in the same condition as when I left for vacation. She is 100% reliable and I will definitely use her again. You should too.”
“Megan was very kind, sweet & professional. She came to feed & give our dog Luke a bathroom break while hubs & I enjoyed a date night. I would absolutely use her services again if we needed care for our boy.”

“Emma and Trent did a great job caring for my two cats. They were happy when I returned and they were able to successfully get Delilah to take her meds every morning. I would use them again!”

“Sarah was great at stopping by and caring for my two cats. I almost think to good, my cats didn't seem to miss me when I got back. Sarah sent photos and spent time with them so they didn't feel neglected. Sarah also went above and beyond by shoveling snow! It snowed while I was away and Sarah cleared the walk way and some of the driveway. Plus she also let the cats have some outdoor time in the snow (they are indoor/outdoor cats so it was good that they got some outdoor time while I was away so things seemed normal).”

“Samantha was amazing with our Gracie! It the first time we’ve ever left her and Samantha made us feel at ease that our fur-baby was receiving all the love and care she needed in our absence. Samantha is kind, reliable and very trustworthy. I’ll definitely be booking with her again. I’d give her ten stars if I could!”

“Heather was absolutely perfect! She watched our cat Zeppy while we were away a week and made sure he was well taken care of, kept us up to date on everything, and even brought in our mail and packages. Zeppy was in good hands the whole week and we’re definitely using her again in the future. Highly recommended!!”

“We needed a dog sitter for our two golden retrievers while our daughter was getting married. We chose Jess. Jess listened to all our requirements and assured us that Gracie and Remy would be cared for, played with and would be exhausted that day. She was right. We loved the pictures she sent us of them having a good time. In fact, although I came home early from the wedding, Jess pulled in right after me and the dogs went to her. We will definitely use Jess next time.”

About: I have been around dogs for most of my life. I have also volunteered at one of the largest assistance dog organizations for more than 13 years. I'm currently training in transportation and first aid I will provide a safe, fun, and playful environment for you Cherished Canine. My horrendous personal experience with pet sitting has alerted me to the pitfalls of in-home pet care.
About: I had a cat when I was young which I took care of. Along with the cat, I’ve had various beta fish each living beyond expected life spans. When I was 17-19, I took care of my neighbor’s cat while they were on vacation. I’ve also helped take care of my grandmother’s dog for the past 5 years. I take her for walks and play with her. For the past few months, I’ve been volunteering at an animal shelter where my job is to clean the cat rooms and walk the dogs there. I’m currently a full time college student, but I will be available for breaks and over the summer. During breaks, I’m available anytime during the week depending on what days I’m home. During the summer, I have more open availability with any day being free depending on my internship. I’m very gentile whenever I work with animals, especially pets. I make sure an animal feels comfortable around me before getting them to do something. I build trust in the animal so that I can get them into a crate easily.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Kings Park
Kelsey is great! She really takes the time to learn about your dog and know your pup before taking them out. She has a very calm energy which I think dogs can sense and like! My dog is very sensitive to people’s energies and is fearful of high energy people but Kelsey came in calm and cool and my dog loves walking with her! She provides updates and follows instructions highly recommend!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
