About: I have 2.5 years of experience working as a veterinarian assistant for a family-owned and operated animal hospital. Aspects of my job include restraining, handling, medicating, feeding, grooming, bathing, and caring for any pets who may board with us at the hospital. I have comfortably handled dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, needs, and temperaments, and I am confident in my ability to care for dogs of all life stages. My schedule is extremely flexible and I am never away from home for more than four hours any day of the week, which means plenty of time for potty breaks, playtime, and feedings. I have a fully enclosed, insulated, temperature controlled, spacious gazebo on my property surrounded by a pet-proof fenced-in playpen. The inside is divided into four sections, so I can board up to four dogs no bigger than 40lbs at one time, and each pet will have his or her own space indoors for eating and sleeping. Outside, the pets will be able to interact and play, and they will always be supervised.

I work remotely from home for the most part and would only accept to care if I am home that day. I have a 30 lb Klee Kai mix at home who would accompany your pet on walks/play time and naps. Walks would be about every 2-3 hours for potty breaks. For extra outdoor play time we could go out on the large patio on my floor. Pets are allowed to hang out and nap on couch

“From the moment we dropped Nessa off until the time we picked her up, we were pleasantly surprised by how completely at home she felt with Marla. Normally, Nessa is very apprehensive when meeting new people, new animals, or even visiting a new place. But from the moment Marla opened the door, our normally shy and hesitant little girl ran right into the house to greet Marla and all of her pets. To say my husband and I were shocked would be an understatement! Watching Nessa happily run off to play filled this mom and dad with so much joy. While we were attending our niece’s wedding, we kept checking our phones, fully expecting a call or text saying Nessa was crying or looking for us. That message never came—because she was apparently having the time of her life! When we returned to pick her up, Nessa was excited to show us all of her new friends. It was obvious she had been well cared for and truly enjoyed her stay. We could tell that Marla treated Nessa as if she were one of her own, and there is no greater compliment we could give. We only wish Marla lived in Connecticut instead of New York. About: Growing up, my family always had a house full of dogs and cats of every size, breed, and personality — and we often fostered strays, too! From an early age, I learned hands-on skills like training techniques, behavioral understanding, and basic at-home vet care. Over time, I developed a calm, intuitive approach that helps me connect with almost any animal I meet (and I’m always happy to prove it!). In middle and high school, I spent weekends volunteering at my local animal shelter, CNY SNAP in Cortland, NY. As an adult, I continued rescuing and rehoming cats and dogs until a few years ago when I welcomed my daughter. Now that she’s a bit older, I’m thrilled to be back doing what I love — caring for animals of all kinds. I understand that not every pet instantly warms up to new people, and that’s totally okay. I never force affection — instead, I read their cues, respect their boundaries, and build trust at their own pace. Whether your pet is shy, playful, senior, or special-needs, I’ll meet them where they are and give them the care and patience they deserve. Reliability and safety are my top priorities. When I’m in your home, I treat it with the same care and respect I would my own — leaving things clean, tidy, and often better than I found them. I value your privacy and always maintain discretion about your space and schedule. I’m detail-oriented and take note of the little things that make a big difference — from following feeding routines precisely to keeping track of any changes in your pet’s behavior. I’m also big on communication: you’ll receive thoughtful, photo-filled updates so you can relax knowing your pets are happy, safe, and cared for. Clients have described me as calm, reliable, and attentive — someone they can truly trust. My goal is always to create a stress-free experience for both you and your pet. I work from home on my own time so I have open availability! Weekends welcomed, and most holidays as well! I do my best to keep my schedule updated. While I can’t host pets in my own home (lease restrictions), I’m proud to provide an exceptional experience for both you and your pet in your home. I treat every home and animal with the highest level of care and respect, ensuring a calm, clean, and comfortable environment. I follow your pet’s care plan to the letter — feeding, medication, walks, bedtime routines, and all the little details that make them feel secure. I also go above and beyond to leave your space in great condition (because let’s be honest, a little pet mess is part of the fun!). If any questions or concerns arise, I’ll always reach out before taking any steps we haven’t discussed. I believe in clear, consistent communication and earning trust through reliability, attention to detail, and genuine love for what I do. And of course — all the cuddles and playtime are included, free of charge! ⭐ Please Note: I may occasionally have my five-year-old daughter with me for overnight stays. This will always be discussed ahead of time during our meet and greet to make sure you’re completely comfortable.

About: As a graduate student pursuing a doctorate in Physical Therapy, I am responsible, attentive, and highly dependable. I understand that every pet has unique needs, whether that means keeping up with an energetic puppy, providing extra patience and support for a senior pet, or making sure anxious pets feel comfortable and safe. I am committed to treating every pet as if they were my own and keeping owners updated with photos and messages so they can have peace of mind while they're away. I have been around dogs my whole life especially Rotties and Labs!:) Being a graduate student, my schedule is very consistent and predictable. I will be working M/W: 12pm- 8pm T/TH: 7am- 3pm Friday: 10am - 6pm If I’m not at work I’m with your pup! I will usually have a break throughout the day that allows me to come home or stop by for potty breaks, walks, feeding, and check ins as needed. My parents are also home so your pup will never be left alone for more than a couple minutes! Someone is usually always home. On weekends I am always around which allows me to spend the morning, afternoon and evening providing attentive care, exercise, playtime, and companionship. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and maintain their normal routine. At my home, pets have access to a fully fenced-in yard for supervised outdoor time, exercise, and play. I provide regular walks, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention based on each pet's individual needs. I live very close to my campus which gives me access to get home as quickly as 2 minutes for just incase purposes
