“Absolutely 5 stars! From the minute we met Karine and Ryan, we knew they were the right people to care for our dog while we were away. Karine completed a detailed questionnaire at the Meet and Greet which ensured that she knew all of Stanley's needs, routines, etc. When we dropped Stanley off for his stay, Karine and Ryan were friendly, confident and reassuring. Karine sent us great pictures and updates throughout our trip and really made us feel that Stanley was the top priority. When we picked Stanley up, it was obvious that he had really enjoyed his stay - while excited to see us, he was not anxious in any way. Karine and Ryan could not have been kinder to us or our dog and we look forward to having Stanley stay again with them many times!”

“Our boy has a great time with Cristina! He loves playing in the yard and snuggling up with some blankets at her place. She’s super communicative and takes amazing pictures of him. Highly recommend!”

“We are so blessed that we found Blanca to take care of our little doggy. She is wonderful with our Jack Russell Chihuahua mix. She knows just how to take care of him and make him happy. He had his first overnight stay with Blanca and we could tell that he was comfortable and happy. Thank you so much Blanca!”

“Banksy was so happy at Juan's home. Juan did a wonderful job taking care of Banksy. He sent us photos of Banksy while we were away. Banksy was in good hands and had a fun time. Thank you Juan!”

About: I’ve always enjoyed taking care of dogs since I was a child. I had a childhood dog, Rags who I doted on. In 2004, my dreams came true with having a dog of my own, Missy. Missy was a wonderful addition to my family for her lifetime of 17 years. I have a lot of love to give to your dog. I”m a teacher who’s off for the summer and when school resumes in the fall, I’m home by 2:45 pm. This schedule will allow me to go above and beyond when taking care of your dog. Your dog will be able to run freely in our home. I work close by so I will come home to walk your dog during the work day and then I’m home from work by 2:45. Once I’m home, I will play and pet your dog continuously as I did for 17 years with my beloved Missy.

About: I am a doting dog-mom to an anxious, rescue shih-tzu mix, and I’ve had dogs my whole life! Whether your dog is big or small, great on a leash or not, I am happy to spend time with them and attend to their individual needs! I am currently between jobs and I have a car, so I can come to your home with flexibility and ease! I am available most days after 10am! I am happy to walk your dog, spend quality time with them in the home, or play with them in the yard! I can also feed them and give medication or treats as needed!
“This is our dogs 5th stay with Judy! And I cannot recommend her enough! She loves our lil guy as if he were her own and she is always quick to respond and provides many updates/pictures. He always comes back smelling great too :D”

“Alexis took great care of Charlie during boarding. She provided updates and photos during the stay. Her backyard is a pups dream. I’m sure Charlie would give two thumbs up if she has them.”

“This is Allie’s third stay with Luz and Michelle. The moment we pulled up, Allie started to squeal and couldn’t wait to see them. She LOVES being with them — and with their regular texts and photos, I always know how happy and well cared for Allie is. She is always clean and in great shape when I pick her up. I drive 11 hours each way to leave Allie with Luz and Michelle because they are so wonderful!! Allie and I are so grateful for them. I cannot recommend them highly enough.”

“Elvia is the best! Our dachshund loves her and so do we. Super reliable and takes such good care of our pup. We’ve used Elvia for both daytime and overnights and would highly recommend!”

“Richard is kind and easy going. I felt my dog was in really good hands. He communicated with us during our dog’s stay and sent pics and that put us at ease.”
“Ari and his family took wonderful care of Freddie while we were away. He came back happy, healthy, and clearly had a great time playing with their kids. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos throughout the week, which gave us complete peace of mind. We would absolutely use their services in the future.”

“My dog scampi had a great time with Rhinesca and her family. She sent plenty of pictures and kept me up to date with how he was doing. I would bring scampi to her again.”

“Jennifer was amazing with our very fussy dog. She was incredibly patient and loving with him. As we were gone for almost ten days it was nice to get daily updates and see how well he was doing. We would use Jennifer again in a heartbeat.”

“We are so appreciative of Amy watching our dog, Banjo, over the weekend. She accommodated a very late drop off on Friday evening and made us feel so relaxed/like Banjo was in good hands. Banjo is a very energetic dog and she gave him lots of playtime with the other dogs she was sitting. Amy was fast to respond, excellent at communicating, very flexible with our drop off and pick up times, and so helpful having Banjo and his crate/stuff ready to go when we picked him up. We will definitely use Amy again if we’re back in the area!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Rye Brook
Karine is awesome! She is extremely organized and communicates really well. I felt confident that my pup was in good hands. He was reluctant at first but settled in nicely and enjoyed his stay there. We already have plans to return. We were very pleased with the planning, experience, knowledge, communications, thoughfulness and care they showed.

Alexandra took great care of our dog Phoebe while we were away and sent lots of photos. She welcomed Phoebe into her home and treated her like her own. When our flight home was delayed, even though Alexandra was unable to extend the dog-sitting by a day (because she was going away herself), she was willing to drive Phoebe to our neighbor’s house before she left so Phoebe wasn’t left without a place to go.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
