“Rafaelina and her family have created a dog utopia! Their large backyard is basically an obstacle course for pets. They are very kind people and know what they are doing, how to treat dogs with unique personalities, and how to make all pets comfortable. Our pet had his first 'staycation' with Rafaelina over the weekend and it seems he had a great time.”

“Diana is friendly, caring, responsible and she is a great dog sitter. She sent photos and videos everyday and went above and beyond to take care of my shiba inu. In addition, her dog Wendy was a wonderdul playmate for my shiba. She provided a safe, clean and fun environment for the care of my dog.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Robert and are so grateful for the great care he gave our dog, Luca. This was our first time using Rover, and we feel very lucky to have found him! Luca stayed with Robert from August 13 to September 5. Throughout his stay, Robert regularly sent us photos and updates without us having to ask, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. When Luca came home, he looked happy, healthy, and well cared for, and he settled right back into his usual routine. It was clear that he had been in great hands. Thank you so much, Robert! We would absolutely trust you with Luca again and will definitely reach out for future stays.”

“Jocelyn has watched Tofu a few times now, and Tofu always comes home happy, clean, and healthy! Jocelyn is a great sitter, and I plan to book with her again! I highly recommend Jocelyn for anyone in need of a dog sitter :)”

“Elizaveta was wonderful with our dog! She is warm, genuinely loves dogs, and was very flexible with scheduling. We especially appreciated the daily photos and videos she sent. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

“Yuri took amazing care of Jolie while she was sitting for her. She sent me pictures daily and updates about her well being and any concerns she had. I will definitely be booking with her again! Thank you so much Yuri!”

“Kevin and his family are super great with our pup! This was the second time she stayed with him. He made sure she felt more comfortable as she gets a bit homesick. We will definitely ask him to take care of her again. Highly recommended!”

“Kiara was amazing with our golden retriever Kona. She sent videos and updates every day from their walks and playtime in her large fenced in yard. Kiara’s policy of dog sitting only one at a time ensured he had love and attention. He came back relaxed and happy, not stressed out at all. Kiara herself is warm and friendly, interested in hearing about all your dog’s foibles, and obviously a calming presence to dogs. We are absolutely going to use her again!”

“Emma took great care of my dog Buddy! She kept us updating by sending pictures and messages to check in! She was great at responding and looks like Buddy had a great time. Would definitely book again!”

“I can’t possibly say enough good things about the kindness, care, consideration of Luz and Michelle each time they care for Allie. Allie adores being with them and I am so grateful!! Simply the BEST!!”

“As always, Karine is amazing! I trust her implicitly with my anxious pup. She is so in tune with the dogs' needs and caters to them as if they are her own. Thank you again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes since I was 11 years old — from neighbor’s labs to our family’s Jack Russell. I have been trusted to walk, bathe, feed, and play with dogs who I treat as my own. I am currently a medical student with flexible hours! Already, I have dog sat with joy and ease for extended periods of time while working from home. Given my flexible schedule, I am able to walk your dog as often as needed, keeping them on their regular schedule. I also have plenty of time to give your pet lots of attention, making them feel right at home! If sitting in your home, I will always leave it as clean or cleaner than I found it. I will also make sure to dedicate time to play, cuddles, walks, and feeding. I am happy to give your pup some time outside daily or as needed. My dog-loving husband is also available to help make sure your dog is always taken care of.
“We were worried that our Laima would have a hard time with separation anxiety, (first time away from us in the 2 yrs since we rescued her) but Rene and her pups made her feel right at home. The pictures she posted spoke volume on how well Laima enjoyed her stay! We hope to use Rene again soon!”

“Charmaine was kind, professional and offered strong communication. This was a last minute request and she was accommodating, flexible, but still transparent about her schedule. Even though I wrote information down when booking her as a dog sitter, she still took the time to ask questions when we met.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hartsdale
Ziggy had a wonderful two-week vacation with Rafaelina. I was a little nervous about it because it was his first time being away from the family with a Rover caretaker for such a long time. My fears were unfounded: We received daily updates that showed that Ziggy settled in quickly and truly enjoyed himself. He especially liked the fenced-in yard, as it is full of interesting things to discover. Bonus point: Rafaelina (or her daughters?) is a really good photographer - the pics we received from Ziggy every day were stunning!

This was Milo’s second time staying with Alexis & he was so happy to go back! In our updates from her, you could clearly see Milo was having an absolute blast and was being treated with love. Communication with her is super easy with quick replies, highly highly recommend

Tabitha and her family took care of our dog Penny for over a week and it was a fantastic experience. She was very communicative / accommodating, would send us daily pictures and videos, and we felt very comfortable with her. You could tell they enjoyed taking care of dogs and treating them as their own. Penny seemed very happy with her stay. We would definitely use them again!

Elizaveta did a fantastic job watching our Boston Terrier for almost 3 weeks. Our little guy is often afraid of new people and being away from our family, but with her he was super comfortable right away - I think her dog helped with the process. Definitely recommend and would use again.

Taylor was amazing with our little one. She took care of our Shih Tzu for over a week. She attentively listened when we explained his needs and asked well thought questions. She welcomed a meet and greet for our little one to get acquainted with her and a new place, which was very helpful. While we were away, she not only sent us daily updates, pics and videos, but went above and beyond to make him comfortable. She even bought him a toy! By the time we went to pick him up he didn’t want to leave! We will be utilizing her for a long time. Your little one will be in the best of care with her.

What does every dog ‘parent’ want if they have to leave their dog with a sitter? 100% peace of mind. For their dog to be cared for as they would be by you. To be updated regularly and feel great after each update. And to come home to find that their dog was just as happy and loved and safe as they would have been with you. Luz and Michelle tick every single box. There aren’t enough superlatives to express the gratitude I feel for their love and care of Allie!!! ❤️🐶⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️➕➕➕🐶❤️

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
