“Jocelyn took good care of my dog. She put on a coat to keep him warm, took him out to play, even on snowy cold days. She sent many pics and videos. Very happy with her care. Will use her again.”

“Doreen was amazing with Toby. She communicated so well and made this experience so seamless. We will definitely reach out to Doreen in the future to care for our dog.”

“Henry and Kyungwon did an excellent job watching Coco. They made sure her medicine was given on time and sent regular updates. Coco was calm and content when we returned. We plan to use Henry and Kyungwon again.”

“Raymond and his family were amazing!!! We had such a great experience boarding our 10-month-old cocker spaniel them. They treated our puppy like one of their own, and the whole family—including the kids—welcomed him with so much love and energy. Raymond was communicative, sending regular updates with photos and videos. We will definitely re-book with him in the future.”

“We’re very happy with Liza. She was very conscientious and loving with our dog. From the very start, we felt completely comforted knowing that he was in such good hands. She provided daily updates with pictures and videos throughout our 10-day trip. We will definitely book her again!”

“Katherine is very nice and I can see our Leo enjoyed his stay with her. He even looks like he misses her. She regularly sent us videos and we were at ease that we left him in good hands. We highly recommend her services.”

“Jenna was the perfect match for our pup. She was very communicative and sent plenty of pictures throughout out her stay. Next time we need to go out of town, we will definitely book with Jenna again. Our puppy had plenty of playmates and cuddle buddies too!”

About: I’ve had dogs growing up and I now have a 1-year old Cavalier King Charles. I am responsible and attentive and will take good care of your furbaby. I can walk, feed and play with your baby according to any directions given. I just ask that your dog be good with other dogs and fully vaccinated. I am currently available for occasional dog walking on weekends and drop in pet care on weekends and Monday evenings. I understand most doggy daycares are not open btw. 5p-8p and hope to fill that gap on weekends. I live in a large duplex apartment and your furbaby will have access to all the treats, toys and rooms my furbabys enjoys. I have a large toy collection, brain games, constant water and plenty of places to relax or play.

“Sujaya was amazing!! She thought of everything, put together an adorable FAQ sheet and was so communicative during Baxters stay. I appreciated all the pictures and the care she took of him. She treated him just like her own. I will definitely be using her again!”

“This is the 2nd time I've left Oliver with Cathy and I picked him up happy. This time drop-off was rather late at 9 pm, but I do appreciate that she would rather be home to receive him and ensure he gets properly introduced to other dogs. As before, Cathy sent daily photo updates, which is really great. Thanks!”

“What a great experience. I love getting updates, and being reassured that my pup is having a good time and also getting what he needs. Valerie is conscientious, for example, she walked my dog before I came to make sure that he had his needs met before a long drive with me. Got an along well with her dog, in a family setting with a backyard — really appreciate her care.”

“I am so happy I found Ken and Irene! It was the first time my dog (Louie) was being watched by strangers outside of his home. I was a little concerned because Louie has been known to eat small objects, but it all worked out and he was fine! Irene updated me throughout the weekend and sent me pictures. I could tell initially that this family loved dogs. Louie got along great with their two labs and seemed to adjust well. I highly recommend Ken and Irene!”

“Karine is a fantastic sitter, we are so lucky we found her. She sent daily updates letting us know how our dog was doing. We could not have been happier with her.”

“Brittany (and Mom!) is absolutely amazing! I was extremely nervous about leaving my pup with someone new. Marley is a rescue and usually quite skittish around new people / dogs so She tries to find a way to run off when she’s scared. Brittany’s home is very secure and I felt so at ease. Marley was treated as one of their own, got tons of TLC and made new friends while I was away. Thank you so much 😊”

“Lee K was great with my dog Bodi. Knowing that she was familiar with looking after senior dogs and giving medication made me feel comfortable using her pet sitting services. She took great care of Bodi, helping him as needed & provided me with many photos & videos so that I could see how he was doing while he was staying at her home. Upon picking him up I could tell he had a relaxing stay and was comfortable within her home and around her other dogs. We are looking forward to using Lee K again in the future!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ardsley-on-Hudson
We had the best experience with Kaas boarding at Robert’s, would definitely do it again. We received updates of our boy and just felt like he was loved and cared for on his staycation. Big plus is that he has a lovely home/outdoor space and Kaas had two new friends in Arlo and Santi. Thank you ✨

Catherine was amazing with us and our two dogs. We hardy leave them so finding someone who would give them the care, attention, and love they're used to getting always seems daunting. Not with Catherine from our meet and greet, to drop off, pick up, and the time in-between she was fantastic! She sent text, photos, videos, comforting us all along the way. Through those videos we saw wagging tails and smiles, we knew they would in great hands and could relax from worry about them while away. I would highly recommend Catherine, she's professional, kind, knowledgeable about dogs and is highly sought after. We will certainly be using Catherine again. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our little loves ❤️

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Ardsley-on-Hudson home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Ardsley-on-Hudson.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Ardsley-on-Hudson sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
