“Ellie is awesome! This was our first time using a Rover sitter and we were a little nervous since our fur baby needs to get insulin injections, but she really eased our nerves with her friendly personality and competence! She was also great with communication and even sent some adorable photos. We will definitely be asking Ellie to help out again in the future, and Frankie and Pablo can’t wait to see her again!”

About: I'm an animal lover and my pets have always been a part of my life. I grew up with 2 cats and I raised my kids with 2 small dogs and pets were part of the family. Now, I raise 2 cats that I rescued. With all these animals, I've had much experience. Unfortunately, having senior pets have come with illnesses, so I have experience with medications, injections, and even glucose monitors. Love comes naturally, but there is also the feedings, cleaning and medication. I am responsible, knowledgeable, and loving with animals. As a caregiver, I would ensure that your pet is properly fed, safe, clean, and loved (they can sit on my lap all they want). As a testament to the role animals have had in my life, my daughter is a veterinarian. I'm retired so my hours are mostly flexible. I will only accept jobs close to my home so that I can be close to your baby. I am retired and very much enjoying retired life, playing pickleball and other social activities. I have time in the mornings, late afternoons, evenings to care for your pet. I can be flexible so I can work with you if you have other needs. I have two cats and do not want to cause them any stress with unknown pets. I am happy to care for your pet in your home.

About: Growing up with a German Shepard, learning what is takes to take care of dogs (especially big ones) has been a mission of mine throughout life. I can play with, check up on, and / or walk your pups any day that is posted on my calendar and I will work my schedule around times that are available for you! I am not expecting to pet sit, however if I were I would make sure the water bowl is full, abide to any eating schedules, make sure the pet is in eye-view and all doors and windows are closed, perhaps go for a walk and out to potty if the client approves. :)

About: I was a dog sitter all my life, and a former dog and cat mom to a Bernese Mountain dog named Rocco and long haired cat named Jiji. I treat my animals like family, and have taken care of friends' and family members' pets for years with the same love and care I show my own animals. I just moved back to New York after a decade of living on the west coast. Currently unemployed so my schedule is incredibly flexible to meet your pet care needs. At your own home, I'll get a sense of how your furry friends routine usually goes, and try to follow that routine. On walks I'm a big fan of going around Greenlake and saying hi to other puppies on our way!

“Lucy has watched our cats and small dogs throughout the years, and we have had several excellent experiences. We could use her again if we had not moved away. She leaves the house clean and we can go on vacation without worrying about our pets.”

17. Nailah L.
“Nailah's my sister. Animals always loved her. Our dog especially is always by her side and looks to her for care and attention when my dad isn't in the house. She’s usually the one who takes care of most of his needs, from feeding him to taking him out for walks and showing him plenty of love. You can tell our dog feels happiest and safest when he's with her. She’s incredibly responsible, especially when it comes to taking care of our dog. She makes sure he’s well-fed, healthy, and is the first to notice when his behavior changes. She takes her role very seriously and always puts Achilles's needs first, which makes her someone you can rely on when it comes to looking after your animals.”

18. Hayley O.
“I rescued my pittie, Z, a couple years ago who is still fairly anxious. He’s very sad when I leave & untrusting of most caretakers (even my friends who he’s met many times) + he’s a strong dog to walk (60+ lbs). I’m therefore super particular/wary about who takes care of Z. Hayley has been my #1 go to. She’s so intentful with Z & it shows (he’s actually looks happy when she sends me photos when I travel). She’s equally firm with him - he does not boss her around on the leash. Hayley told me she previously owned a 100lb Bernese Mountain dog & it shows in her dog ettiwuite. She’s clearly a dog person & knows the right balance of love, affection & structure (especially for my fellow big dog owners out there).”
