“It was Zuni’s first daycare time with Robert. She came back happy and relaxed (and seems like she made new friends). He sent photos regularly. It was great first day! Highly recommend Robert.”

“Diana was great and so patient with my dog. My dog was very nervous and didn't want to go with her but she was so kind and loving, she went with her. She spent the whole day with her and kept me updated throughout the day. I would highly recommend her. In fact, my dog is going back two more days this week to Diana.”

“Dan is so kind hearted and patient towards my babies. My honey can be nervous at times and he took the time to make her comfortable. Autumn is Dans biggest fan out of all three and he was very attentive to my Pumpkins’ needs. I will definitely utilize his services again in the future and I’m very grateful for his care on such short notice. It’s hard to trust just anyone with your babies. Dan was very warm and kind from the beginning conversation. He understood my concerns and made a point of making me feel very comfortable. 10/10 experience ☺️”

“Jocelyn took lovely care of our two dogs for a day while we went into the city - she sent plenty of pics of them having fun and they came home tired and happy :) drop off and pick up was also super easy!”

“Tracy is on top of his game. Communication and care for our pup was thoughtful and clearly executed. Bear is a covid pup and anxious in new environments, but she quickly warmed up to Tracy. Bear looks forward to her next visit!”

“Omar was amazing with Benji! I could tell that Benji felt very comfortable and relaxed by looking at the pictures. I was a little worried at first cause my dog could be very moody at times but I can tell Omar treated him with love and made him feel right at home. Omar stayed in touch and gave me updates which I really appreciate!! He will definitely be watching over Benji again!!”

About: I’ve been a dog lover since I was six years old, growing up with pets back home in Guatemala. Over the years, I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs—big, small, playful, and shy—and I’ve gained experience with everything from daily walks to giving medication. I currently don’t have pets of my own, which means I can give your dog my full attention. You can expect lots of walks, playtime, love, and regular photo and video updates. I live in a calm, pet-friendly environment and I’m home all the time, so overnight care is never a problem. I’m here to make your dog feel safe, happy, and right at home! I work part-time in the mornings and am free the rest of the day, and I’m available to board your dog anytime that works for you. Since I work nearby, I can easily accommodate your schedule for drop-offs and pick-ups. I spend most of my time at home, giving plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship. I especially enjoy taking dogs on walks—it’s a great way for them to get exercise and have fun. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I love being active with animals and making sure they feel happy and loved all day long. I live in a calm, pet-friendly environment where your dog can feel safe, relaxed, and loved. My home is free of harmful plants and other hazards, I always keep the space clean and comfortable. I have a big yard where I can walk and play with your dog throughout the day, giving them plenty of exercise and attention. I take time to get to know each dog’s personality and needs so they feel right at home. Your pet’s safety and well-being are my top priorities, and I’m happy to follow any routines that help them feel secure. I know trust matters, so I always keep pet parents updated with photos, videos, and clear communication.
About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life — big, small, shy, playful, you name it. I’ve cared for multiple dogs at a time and still do, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m genuinely obsessed with dogs and love getting to know each one’s unique personality, quirks, and preferences. Whether it’s discovering their favorite walking route, the toy they can’t put down, or the treat that makes their tail wag the fastest, I make it my mission to ensure they feel loved, safe, and happy — always. I work full time in healthcare, but I’m fully remote — so my day naturally revolves around my dogs. I build my schedule and their walks, playtime, and snuggles, making sure they get plenty of attention and care throughout the day. This flexibility allows me to be present and attentive to any pet I’m caring for, just as I am with my own. Whether in my home or yours, I treat every pet like my own. In my home, pets get a safe, clean, and cozy environment with plenty of playtime, walks, and snuggles. I stick to their normal feeding schedules, keep fresh water available at all times, and make sure they get the exercise and attention they’re used to. In a clients home, I follow your routines and instructions to the letter — whether that means specific feeding times, favorite walking routes, or special care needs — so your pet feels comfortable and cares for in their own space. My goal is always to keep tails wagging and stress levels low.
About: What sets us apart is how much we genuinely love dogs. We are dog parents ourselves, so we understand how much trust it takes — and how worrying it can feel — to leave your dog in someone else’s care. For us, dog sitting is more than just feeding and walking. We love spending time with them, playing with them, and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. Because we know how much owners miss and worry about their dogs, we always try to send photo updates in the morning and evening so you can see how your pup is doing and feel at ease. We have hands-on experience caring for different breeds, including Samoyeds, Weimaraners, Shetland Sheepdogs, and Golden Retrievers. Since we have friendly and social dogs of our own, we carefully supervise all interactions and focus on creating a safe and positive environment for every dog. We follow each dog’s routine closely and give them the attention, care, and love they deserve. When dogs are in my care, I keep a close eye on them and make sure they are not left alone. I give them plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and rest based on their individual needs. My husband and I both truly love dogs, and our own dogs are also very social and enjoy having other dogs around. Caring for dogs is the main reason I became a Rover sitter, and we treat every dog with genuine care and attention, just as we would want someone to care for our own dogs. I carefully follow each dog’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, and rest time. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important safety and trust are, and I also know how much pet parents can worry while they are away. That’s why I make sure to share regular updates on how their dog is doing throughout the stay. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for like a member of our family.
“I am so appreciative of Katherine puppy sitting our fur baby for a last minute booking. She is so professional and accommodating and caring. She provided pictures and videos. She followed our feeding schedule and was understanding about our puppy not being house trained and us needing additional time for the pickup. I would definitely recommend her and I will be calling her again.”

“My wife and I were very thankful with Chialing as she took our baby Taco on a very short notice and took care of him wonderfully. She kept us posted of his activity and send us pictures through out the day. I highly recommend her services.”

“I had to extend Gaucho’s stay for a day at the last minute because of travel and Jennifer and James were very gracious and kept my rambunctious little guy entertained for a few extra hours. I know Gaucho had a great time because he immediately and happily passed out from exhaustion when we got home.”
“First time trying Rover. Yuri was great. Great communication all throughout. She had another dog over and she asked if it was okay before accepting the booking. She sent pictures and videos during playtime and walks. I Will definitely use again!”

“Maggie had the best time at daycare at Kiara’s. She and her family were so warm and welcoming, and it made me feel at ease dropping Maggie off with them. Thank you for loving my girl like your own.”

“Our dog Matcha seemed to love her stay with Tatiana! She had plenty of other dogs to spend time with and not worry about how she wasn't at home. If you have a furry friend that doesn't like being home alone for extended hours, I'd recommend Tatiana.”

About: I have many years experience owning a loving yorkie, named Ohana which means “family” in Hawaiian. Since she has passed away, I cannot commit to dealing with another heartbreak of losing a dog that becomes your family. I have 3 boys who are begging for a dog to play with. I work from home so I wouldn’t mind the company once in a while. I am also the go to person to dog sit for my family members dogs while they are away. I work full time from home Monday- Friday from 10am-7pm. My weekends are usually spent with the family doing kids activities such as their sports. I live in a smoke free house with a fenced backyard to keep pets safe. I also own a small crate we used for our yorkie. I live in a quit neighborhood with a few dogs on the block to interact with.
“Simone & Sean K were terrific! Kind, attentive to our dog's sensitivities and took great care of her. She had a great day with them. We highly recommend them and will definitely be booking future dates.”

“Lorenzo is a top notch caregiver for your furry kid. He watched Duke 3 days in a row while I worked. Everyday when I picked Duke up he was happy and tired from all the fun he had. If your looking for quality care, I highly recommend Lorenzo!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ardsley-on-Hudson
Dan treats my babies like they’re his own, they grew so attached to him in just one visit. They were so excited to see him again and he’s especially wonderful with my baby Honey, it takes her a while to get comfortable to new situations, but she acclimated to him so quickly that I was even surprised. Dan is a gentle soul and very caring towards my babies. I will definitely utilize his services again in the future.

Tracy and his wife took such great care of Hugo! He came back happy and tired and was so happy to see them again for his next day care appointment. They communicated well, and you can tell they are just dog people. Would happily leave Hugo with them over and over again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 10,956 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Ardsley-on-Hudson. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Ardsley-on-Hudson commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
