“Maria took excellent care of our cat for a week, 2 visits a day. She was there like clockwork - and sent us photos, which we loved. I appreciated how communicative she was, especially with a snowstorm coming. Would 100 % use her again.”

“Bella was the perfect sitter for my baby while I was away. I was never worried about her in the slightest and it was such an amazing piece of mind to know that Bella had her in good hands. I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Ellie is fantastic. She looked after our 15 year old diabetic cat, who requires twice daily insulin shots and multiple eye drops, while we were away. She was in regular touch with us and alerted us when he started to have a different problem with his eyes so we could swap his drops. She is utterly conscientious and kind. Our kitty also seemed to appreciate her gentle approach—clearly she loves animals and understands cats.”

About: As a lifelong animal lover, pet owner, and advocate, I bring years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages and species. I currently have three cats in college and four dogs at home, and I’ve grown up surrounded by animals, with both of my parents being veterinarians. My experience extends beyond personal pet care—I have volunteered at veterinary clinics and rescue centers, gaining valuable skills in handling and caring for animals in various situations. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, and rodents. I am also an amateur dog trainer, allowing me to reinforce good behavior and provide enriching activities for pets under my care. Whether it’s administering basic care, ensuring companionship, or providing structured play and exercise, I am committed to treating every pet as if they were my own. I have a flexible daily schedule that allows me to prioritize pet care, accommodate walks and visits, and adjust timing to meet each pet’s needs. I structure my week to ensure pet care is never rushed! I care for all pets as if they were my ownQ I am an animal advocate and grew up under the pet guidance of veterinarians.
“Jocelyn did a great job taking care of our three cats and we would definitely reach out to her again the next time we go on vacation. Jocelyn is very responsive and attentive and we would highly recommend her.”
“Marilyn was awesome :) We have an interesting little trio of felines and she handled each of their personalities with ease. We came home from vacation to a clean and tidy home and very happy kitties. Highly recommend her!”

“Kate is awesome, highly recommended!! She was on time and very good with her rover card, including photos, notes, etc. She was very friendly with my cats, and my cats took her in easily as well! She took good care of my cats, and played with them. Kate was very easy to communicate during the whole process and detail oriented. I would definitely re-book her service for any future needs! Thanks Kate!”

About: I have a deep appreciation for animals, which stems from growing up with various pets. I've had dogs and cats I trained and cared for since they were puppies or kittens. Even had a pair of parrots, turtles, and a snake! My genuine respect for animals is why friends and family continue to trust in my enthusiasm to extend reliable and loving care to their little ones. I hope to provide you with the same peace of mind that your pawed bestie will receive a happy and nurturing experience. **Please note: I am not offering pet boarding at my home. I will go to your home for Drop-In Visits or House Sitting (no overnights). I have found it's less stressful for your little one(s) if they are in a familiar environment. I currently work part-time with flexible hours, so I can be free to meet your pet's schedule! With advanced notice, I can try to accommodate any schedule. I want to carefully learn your pet(s) routine so I can provide a similar environment for them. I know it can be nerve wracking leaving them behind, so I'll make sure you receive updates from your bestie!
“Karen is a caring sitter and a genuine cat lover, which was very important to us when booking someone on Rover. She is experienced and patient when we gave her instructions. She left the house spotless and we could tell that our kitty was much less desperate for our affection when we came back from our trip because Karen was there for her. We're so happy to have found Karen.”

About: My partner and I live in Astoria with our dog Inky! We fostered a dog for 2 months and miss having a 2nd dog around! Currently we don't have time for a full time 2nd dog but would love to go on walks/ board other dogs with our 4 year old Inky. Both Steven and I have fostered dogs individually and together and we understand the priceless feeling of a worry-free boarding experience for dog parents! We feel that caring for other people's pet children is a true honor! I'm working part time and my partner Steven WFH some days. We go to the park most weekend mornings and like to spend the entire day with the dog(s). Whether it is at home snuggling on the couch, or at a dog-friendly coffee shop. We make sure to not leave small items (ex. airpods) laying around, garbage is thrown away, and the apartment is very much baby/dog-proofed in general.
About: I’ve had dogs all my life. I currently have 2 (both big dogs - a golden and a pointer), and I’d be more than happy to bring them along, if possible. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes, and would love to help with yours! I have classes and am usually working until about 4 pm on Tuesdays-Thursdays, and my availability varies for every other day (based on EMS shifts) — but I’m generally available at any time. Please let me know works best for you! If you’d like your dog to socialize, please let me know! I have two friendly big dogs that love to play. If not, no worries. And please let me know if there’s anything else I should know about you and your pet’s needs, as I’d more than appreciate the info and guidance.
“Rene was great with Thor. She didn't let his grumpiness deter her from making sure he was checked in on & fed. She took lots of pictures of Thor which I appreciated. She even checked his litter which was above & beyond what I expected.”

“When I was away for a few days, Alex came help taking care of my kitties, and did a wonderful job. From the time our booking was confirmed, through the days I was traveling, she provided great communications, and sent updates after every visit. Alex took great care of my kitties and I am very appreciative of her. I highly recommend her services!”

About: 🐾 Lifelong Caregiver | Dog, Cat, & Exotic Expert | Detail-Oriented 🌿 About Me: Animals have always been my world. From growing up with dogs to becoming a dedicated cat parent of 6 years, I provide calm, reliable care for every personality. I’m a "routine specialist" who manages 50+ plants, so I’m wired to follow your feeding and medical instructions to the letter. Experience & Services: • Dogs: Lifelong walker experienced in everything from neighborhood strolls to vigorous hikes. • Cats: Expert in kitten care, shy cats, and multi-cat households. • Exotics: Comfortable with rabbits, fish, and even goats! • The Extras: I pride myself on punctuality, high-quality photos, and detailed report cards. Based in Tarrytown. Whether it’s a midday walk, a cat drop-in, or an overnight stay, your pets (and plants!) are in expert hands. As a Product Designer working from a home office, my schedule is incredibly flexible. Because I’m not tied to a traditional 9-to-5 commute, I can easily structure my day around your pet's specific needs rather than squeezing them into a lunch break. My typical routine includes: • Morning & Mid-Day: I use my flexible 'deep work' hours to take breaks for neighborhood walks or drop-in visits. This allows me to be available during the high-demand midday window when most owners are at work. • Weekly Consistency: Since I work from home in Tarrytown full-time, I am a reliable option for recurring weekly schedules. I don’t have to worry about office meetings or travel suddenly changing my availability. • The Designer’s Eye: My profession requires high attention to detail, a skill I bring to pet care by closely following routine instructions, monitoring health/behavior changes, and sending you well-composed photo updates! Whether it's a quick 20-minute check-in or a long walk, my 'home-base' setup ensures I’m always nearby and ready to help. With 8+ years of dog walking experience and 6+ years of being a dedicated cat parent to our cats Luna and Bubba, I’ve built my life around understanding animal behavior. My approach is rooted in the belief that a calm environment and a consistent routine are the keys to a happy pet. Safety First, Always: Safety is my non-negotiable priority. For dogs, this means double-checking harness fits, practicing 'active walking' (staying aware of surroundings/distractions), and ensuring paws are protected from Tarrytown’s winter salt. For cats, I am hyper-vigilant about 'door dashing' and ensuring all windows and entry points are secure before and after I leave. Building Trust Through Patience: I understand that trust isn't given; it’s earned. • For Dogs: I use positive reinforcement and clear communication to build a bond. • For Cats: I specialize in 'low-stress' handling. I let timid cats come to me at their own pace, utilizing my experience with shy rescues to ensure they never feel cornered or overwhelmed. A Controlled & Healthy Environment: Whether I am in your home or mine, I maintain a 'pet-proof' space. • In Your Home: I respect your space and keep it exactly as you left it. Being a parent to 50+ plants, I am also uniquely qualified to ensure your pets stay away from any non-pet-safe greenery. • Health Monitoring: My experience with medications (like Atopica) means I’m always looking for subtle shifts in behavior, appetite, or bathroom habits that might indicate a health change. I am deeply passionate about animals, and I treat every client’s pet with the same meticulous care, love, and routine-focused attention that I give my own.
“Jessica took great care of midge and got adorable photos of her so we knew she was okay! Grateful for the care and the check-ins as our sweet kitty is a love bug and needs snuggles when we're out 💞”

About: I have always been the main pet care giver and companion to all of our family’s animals! I have been a pet sitter for 20 years and hope to do it well into retirement! I have and give the most respect for animals and pet owners. I have learned so much about dogs and their views on life through reading, researching and dog sitting/walking! My experience with so many breads has educated me and encouraged me to keep loving these beneficial animals! My current dog walking/sitting job is with a 4 year old Black French Bulldog who had my heart at 4 weeks old! My communications with my clients and their dogs is an honest and loving trade off! I have also worked at a doggy daycare in Westchester .

Dobbs Ferry cat parents share their Rover experiences
We were so lucky to have found Ellie. She made our first vacation after our cat was diagnosed with diabetes so much more peaceful than it could have been otherwise. She was so great with all of our cats, had a really calm and warm energy, and even managed to win over our shy cat in just a couple days (who never warmed up to our prior sitter even after years). Ellie is really a gem. She even troubleshot an unexpected issue with our kitchen sink, and went above and beyond in all respects. I really hope she will be available in the future any time we need to leave town again!

Bruna has been an amazing sitter for our babies! She is super responsive, cuddles our living boy, and even gets our shy girl out to play. She’s been able to accommodate adding in time and brought in important packages while we were away. We’ve loved having her as a sitter because it has eased our anxieties knowing they’re in great hands. Highly recommend Bruna!!
