“Great with my very active dogs!”

About: Hello fellow dog people! I have over 5 years worth of experience caring for and training dogs. Even though this app mainly focuses on the walking and sitting aspect, I take the liberty of also focusing in on teaching/reinforcing basic commands every dog should know, as well as behaviors that are welcomed, and teaching what behaviors are not welcomed. Positive reinforcement is the name of the game when it comes to dogs and what sets me apart from other sitters you ask? Well, the triple C’s, that’s what. Gotta be Calm, Cool, and Collected ;) I’m currently working full time and no longer am an active Rover Walker/Sitter. I’m only available Tuesday-Thursday before 2PM and the occasional Saturday or Sunday mornings. I keep awareness of the pet’s food/water intake, whereabouts, any health concerns and their mood as well. I respect whoever’s space I am in as well as the pet’s space. I try my best to live by the golden rule said by Jesus The Christ: “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you”.

“Kate is awesome as usual! Thank you for taking care of my cats at holiday season and freezing temperatures! Definitely recommend Kate to anyone who’s looking for a drop-in cat visits.”

“Danae did a great job with our skittish, young puppy for a last minute sit. We so appreciate her flexibility and persistence with our dog, who has not had a lot of experience with sitters. Highly recommend—she communicated with is throughout her time with Tib and we so appreciate her!!”

About: I‘ve been a dog person for as long as I can remember. I was a dog mom to a nervous border collie lab rescue when I lived in Brooklyn and have been dog sitting as favors for friends and family for the last couple of years and loving it! It’s so fun getting to know so many different pups each with their own unique personality. I have experience and can handle small to medium dogs or large dogs who are good walkers. I love dogs and genuinely enjoy walking them and having fun with them in the outdoors! Can tailor walks to what each dog enjoys- we can walk along the river, or head to the nature preserve or do neighborhood walks of varying lengths depending on what’s needed. I’m currently working from home with a flexible schedule, so have availability in the middle of the day for a walk and occasionally for dog sitting. Also, available for evening walks. I have a partially fenced yard and can take the pups to the dog park in Hastings or any other preferred dog park as well. Can board dogs who get along with kids and are used to being out and about or are crate trained.

“Tracy was wonderful to work with! We have a big pup who has a lot of anxiety with change, but Tracy was kind, calm and compassionate with him. Tracy is respectful of the care and attention needed for each animal and your home.”

“Our dogs had an amazing time with Bella. She was thoughtful and conscientious of all of their needs and personalities. We were touched by the home made dog treats as well!”

About: I have grown up around pets my whole life and have always had a passion for animals. I have experience as a veterinary assistant, so I am familiar with different medications and SQ fluids! I am currently taking online classes to finish my semester and am looking for some part time pet-sitting/dog-walking jobs to fill my time with something I enjoy! Thursdays I am available but have a class 11:40-1:40 so am available before and after that! In my home I currently have two cats and a guinea pig. They are indoor cats who are super mischevious, but they get along like brothers. I don't bring flowers into the home because my cats like to eat the toxic ones. My guinea pig gets a big veggie salad multiple times a day.

About: I have always been the main pet care giver and companion to all of our family’s animals! I have been a pet sitter for 20 years and hope to do it well into retirement! I have and give the most respect for animals and pet owners. I have learned so much about dogs and their views on life through reading, researching and dog sitting/walking! My experience with so many breads has educated me and encouraged me to keep loving these beneficial animals! My current dog walking/sitting job is with a 4 year old Black French Bulldog who had my heart at 4 weeks old! My communications with my clients and their dogs is an honest and loving trade off! I have also worked at a doggy daycare in Westchester .

“Jackie was wonderful!!”

“Orlando was amazing with Gryffin! Thanks Orlando!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life and have adored spending time with them. Since I was a child I always took charge of training our puppies and teaching them tricks, and I love spending time outside so playing with dogs and walking with them is perfect! I have watched over dogs in the neighborhood numerous times and have great experience taking care of them. I am a student attending Mercy University as well as an athlete on the softball team there! This means that during the spring season my schedule can be a bit limited. I am extremely flexible and would absolutely be willing to adjust schedules as needed. I am extremely careful with dogs and will take the time to get comfortable with them so that they can still be happy and relaxed in their own home! I am also experienced with walks and know what to do regarding leash safety and taking care of the pups on walks.

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors, friends, and family pets since I was 14. I have experience walking, feeding, and housing pets over night. I’ve never had any trouble meeting or getting along with pets I am currently working Monday through Friday and am looking to enjoy some free time with animals since that is what I have experienced my whole life! I am great at entering the pets space and helping to keep them comfortable around someone new. I understand that all pets need their space and I always want them to be comfortable around me

“We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Ellie. She took great care of our shy, diabetic, 17 year old cat. She took his blood glucose levels and administered his insulin shots with kindness and professionalism. She went the extra mile to find him when he hiding, make sure he was eating and have some cuddle time every day. Highly recommended!”

About: I was a dog sitter all my life, and a former dog and cat mom to a Bernese Mountain dog named Rocco and long haired cat named Jiji. I treat my animals like family, and have taken care of friends' and family members' pets for years with the same love and care I show my own animals. I just moved back to New York after a decade of living on the west coast. Currently unemployed so my schedule is incredibly flexible to meet your pet care needs. At your own home, I'll get a sense of how your furry friends routine usually goes, and try to follow that routine. On walks I'm a big fan of going around Greenlake and saying hi to other puppies on our way!

About: I have a deep appreciation for animals, which stems from growing up with various pets. I've had dogs and cats I trained and cared for since they were puppies or kittens. Even had a pair of parrots, turtles, and a snake! My genuine respect for animals is why friends and family continue to trust in my enthusiasm to extend reliable and loving care to their little ones. I hope to provide you with the same peace of mind that your pawed bestie will receive a happy and nurturing experience. I currently work part-time with flexible hours, so I can be free to meet your pet's schedule! With advanced notice, I can try to accommodate any schedule. I want to carefully learn your pet(s) routine so I can provide a similar environment for them. I know it can be nerve wracking leaving them behind, so I'll make sure you receive updates from your bestie!

About: I’ve had a couple dog sits/walks for the parents of the kids I babysit. I’ve fed, walked, and stayed overnight for many families in the area. I’m currently working part time as a waitress so I have plenty of time to spare. Also, I babysit during the morning and afternoons but still have plenty of time. I prefer to watch the pets in the clients home. I have two dogs but they have not been around any other dogs that much

16. Hayley O.
“I rescued my pittie, Z, a couple years ago who is still fairly anxious. He’s very sad when I leave & untrusting of most caretakers (even my friends who he’s met many times) + he’s a strong dog to walk (60+ lbs). I’m therefore super particular/wary about who takes care of Z. Hayley has been my #1 go to. She’s so intentful with Z & it shows (he’s actually looks happy when she sends me photos when I travel). She’s equally firm with him - he does not boss her around on the leash. Hayley told me she previously owned a 100lb Bernese Mountain dog & it shows in her dog ettiwuite. She’s clearly a dog person & knows the right balance of love, affection & structure (especially for my fellow big dog owners out there).”
