About: I am a just starting at Pace Law and missing my animals deeply. I have made a summer job the past few years dog sitting. I have a wide variety of experience, from caring for three 60lbs+ lap dogs for a week to three cats I would barely see. I love every animal like it is my own (smothered in love) and I make sure to take lots of pictures (I can’t help it!). I am starting my law school journey and I am looking to schedule in some animal time. I am completely free after 4 most days for walks or dinner time and have open weekends. I have lots of experience with animals of many different needs and can easily adapt to instruction. I will be sure to love your baby and provide care above and beyond.

About: I’ve always been a huge animal lover, especially when it comes to dogs! I’ve had dogs throughout my life, including my soul dog, Hazel, who will always have a special place in my heart. Having been a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to have someone you can genuinely trust to care for your pets. I have experience caring for dogs and truly enjoy being around animals. I’m also a proud turtle mom to River! Having different pets has taught me that every animal has its own personality and needs, and I love getting to know what makes each one special. A little fun fact about me! The sweet senior dog in my profile photo is actually a Sato rescue from Puerto Rico. I had the opportunity to be a Flight Angel and help transport her from Puerto Rico to NYC so she could start her new life! It was such a special experience, and I’m so happy I got to be a small part of her journey. Something else about me is that I’d love to foster animals someday! I’ve always had a soft spot for rescue animals, and I hope to be able to help more of them find their forever homes in the future. I’m a responsible, trustworthy, and caring person who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping your pet company, I’ll always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I know our pets are family, and I would treat yours with the same love and care I’d want for my own! I want you to feel completely at ease knowing your pet is in good hands while you’re away! Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy and would love to make a regular part of my routine! I currently work during the week, but I have flexibility in my schedule and am happy to coordinate walks and drop-in visits around my availability. I’m also available on weekends! I love spending time with animals, so getting to incorporate that into my week is something I really look forward to. I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet in someone else’s care, and that’s something I take seriously! I always do my best to make sure pets feel safe, happy, and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine, so I make sure to follow any instructions you leave, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, medications, or just their favorite way to play! I’m also very respectful of people’s homes and will always make sure everything is left just as I found it. I’m happy to send pictures and updates during visits so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is doing well and getting plenty of love and attention!

About: I’m an experienced dog foster with SPDA, providing temporary care for dogs who need a safe, loving home while they wait for their next step. I also have experience caring for dogs for extended periods of time, including following their routines, feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and individual needs. I’m patient, responsible, and attentive to each dog’s personality and comfort. I treat every pet in my care like family and understand how important it is to give pet parents peace of mind while they’re away. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate pet care throughout the week, including occasional and short-term bookings. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and boarding depending on the dates and your pet’s needs. I’m happy to work with each owner’s schedule and provide consistent, reliable care. I provide a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment where pets can feel safe and comfortable. I currently don’t have any other pets in my home, so your pet can have their own dedicated space if needed. As a foster with SPDA, I understand the importance of patience, supervision, and following each pet’s individual routine and needs. I’m also happy to follow specific instructions from pet parents to make their pets feel at home.

About: Hello there, fellow pet lover. I have over 5 years of experience taking care of dogs and cats from different sizes and breeds. I have watched and love many from multiple newborn puppies to older dogs. I am willing to do last minute walks or visit for your for legged friend. (And obviously play with them and feeding too!). I am more than welcome to feed them too and give them love. I am willing to do multiple check ins though the day. I cant not stay all day, because i have my own 4 legged fluff monster at home, he is a 2 year old German Shepard. Patience and trust is the key to taking care of our best friends the best way possible.

About: Hi! I’m Kelly, a lifelong animal lover, professional treat-giver, and former dog mom to my sweet girl, Princess, for 13.5 amazing years. From daily walks to medication routines, I’ve handled it all with love and care. Whether your fur baby needs a snuggle buddy, a midday walk, or someone to keep an eye on them while you’re away, I’ve got you covered! About: I’ve had experience with larger breeds. I had an Airedale terrier growing up and had a large golden doodle who was almost 100 pounds so I’m a big fan of big dogs! I’m able to walk larger dogs with ease and have experience with food sensitive dogs as my doodle was allergic to just about everything. I’m available to do dog sitting pretty much whenever. I work from home full time so I am able to provide a lot of attention to any of my dog guests who stay with me and my husband. Dog walking I’m available most evenings and weekends with access to dog parks in my area if you are comfortable with me bringing your buddy there to play! I’m passionate about dogs and would love to use some extra time caring and tending to them! I’m new to caring for others dogs but not new to loving them - thanks for considering me to care for your best friend! I work from home full time so any dog that stays with me is a huge part of my schedule and routine! I can provide lots of daily walks and special attention for those who need a little extra love! It’s important for me to know what the rules and routine are at home! We try to keep things are normal as possible and not instill any bad habits when they are in our care! They get free reign of our home and we also have cameras to keep an eye on things if we aren’t home!

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals my whole life. Friends, family, and peers trust me to take care of their pets while they’re away. I made sure that they returned home better than ever like they went on a vacation too! I have experience with high-energy pups to senior dogs and can adapt to their personality and pace. I enjoy caring for animals from walking, playing, administering medication, grooming, and providing a calm space. What find most important is being patient and attentive to what your pet specifically needs. My top priority is always keeping pets happy and healthy. I’m currently on a break from school and not working on anything else. My dog, cat, and turtle keep me company in the house. I enjoy daily walks, visiting the park, and sunset outings. Rain or shine I’m available to go on walks, have playtime, visit parks, or give cozy cuddles. I’d be happy to take dogs out to walk wherever they’re most comfortable. I can also assist with grooming, clean up, take in mail, water plants, or any other tasks. I’m currently not taking pets into my home but I am willing to travel.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Woodlands

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
