About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was in school—neighbors and friends would often ask for my help and thank me with small tips, which I used to buy school supplies. Over the years, my love for animals grew, and I eventually adopted my own dog, whom I’ve been caring for for the past nine years. I offer flexible availability on weekends at any time of day, which can be especially helpful in case of last-minute needs or emergencies. I kindly ask that you notify me at least three days in advance for any pet-sitting requests. I prioritize caring for pets in the comfort of their own home, as familiar surroundings can help reduce stress. I also enjoy taking them for walks in their neighborhood to keep them active and happy. I would have flexibility on weekends at any time of the day for greater comfort or if an emergency arises. 2 days before let me know about day sitting. Thank you I would care for your pet in the comforts of their space, sometimes it is easier when they recognize the space and additionally take them out for walks in their neighborhood.

About: I have two senior dogs, and plenty of experience walking, feeding, and bathing dogs of all shapes and sizes! I also have a tortoise so I’m careful with animals and patient with gaining their trust. Just graduated college and work from home so my schedule is flexible. I also have access to a car so transportation shouldn’t be an issue. I like to gain the dogs trust before taking them out for a walk, so I would usually sit next to them let them come to me and reward them as they get more comfortable being around me either with treats or pets or playing with them.

About: Dear fur parents—my name is Jane, and I have extensive experience with both cats and dogs. I’ve had pets my whole life, so I’m well-acquainted with the joys and difficulties of caring for animals. Having worked with a variety of temperaments—from playful and outgoing to more reserved and cautious—I feel equipped for the job. I look forward to looking after your fluffy loved one 🐶🐈⬛ I primarily work from home, so pet care fits seamlessly into my everyday schedule. As someone who has had pets throughout my life, I appreciate the importance of checking in on them throughout the day and attending to their needs. I live in a quiet, three-bedroom apartment, which provides ample space for sitting and boarding—my boyfriend, who also has significant experience with cats, lives with me and works from home.

“Andrea was amazing! She immediately put me at ease when we met her, asked all of the right questions and was so sweet to our two cats. I appreciated Andrea's thorough communication while we were gone (and she even sent me a note the day before we left confirming timing for the next day, which I really appreciate!) Karen is wonderful and took great care of our dog and cat, Taffy and Minnie. She was very thorough and professional and very loving towards our two. Taffy and Minnie were so happy and relaxed when we got home after four days, I’m not sure they noticed we were gone, no stress or anxiety. I can’t recommend Karen any higher, she’s great! Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Greenville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
