Fun-loving Safe Home for Happy Dogs
All dogs want a fun adventure in a safe environment and their owners want consistent updates on their pups. I take that super seriously - so much so that I am a Certified Fear Free Pet Professional. I'm long time dog lover who works from home. I grew up with a Golden Retriever, and adopted my sweet, steadfast doggie soulmate, "Shameless Seamus," a beagle, over 18 years ago. Dogs health, safety, and happiness is my number one priority. I live in a spacious house in Irvington, NY, near the Hudson River. I'm a big believer in long outdoor walks to neighboring parks or to the waterfront. Plenty of sniffing and opportunity for doggies to stretch their legs! I'm also an advocate of making sure dogs get a healthy diet. My beagle, Seamus, recently passed at 18.5 years old but his spirit remains. My love for dogs is strong and in that spirit I carry on watching them. We'll treat your dogs as well as our own. Note: Many people request that we send updates via whatsapp in order to avoid roaming charges when traveling - which is why it might look like we don't send photos all the time but we are insane photo takers and sharers! We just share them the best way for each client.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. From the initial greeting, the interaction felt curt, cold, and unwelcoming. There was very little communication or reassurance about how Henry and Hudson were doing, and I found myself having to check in rather than receiving updates proactively. I was particularly uncomfortable hearing comments about their barking being stressful, as barking can be a normal part of caring for dogs, especially in an unfamiliar environment. The overall interaction and body language made us feel that our dogs were not genuinely welcome or comfortable there. There was also very little communication throughout the day. We received no pictures, updates, or feedback about how the dogs were doing or what activities they were participating in. We had to initiate communication ourselves rather than receiving any proactive updates. Because of how uncomfortable the experience became, we ultimately decided not to complete the stay and picked the dogs up the same day. This was especially disappointing because we had booked the stay expecting our dogs to be cared for in a warm, patient, and welcoming environment. I would not book this sitter again and would encourage other pet parents to make sure the sitter’s communication style and approach are a good fit for their dogs before booking.

Jennifer and her husband took wonderful care of our dogs. From the initial meet-and-greet to drop-off and pick-up, everything was smooth and easy. We received updates, and it was clear our dogs were happy, well cared for, and treated like part of the family. We would absolutely trust Jennifer with our dogs again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter. 🐾💕

Schedule
I work from home and walk dogs 3x a day so its an easy integration. Much care paid to dogs with any health issues as well.

Safety, trust & environment
Pets are given much love and attention. If they are anxious when they arrive we take them out for a walk immediately with our pup - that usually helps a lot. We also follow Fear Free tactics to ensure they feel safe, and happy. We always follow instructions given by pet owners such as do's and don'ts, medications, and feeding to ensure they are cared for just as they are at your home.
Pets
A typical day
We love to go on long walks by the water or on the soft grass. Plenty of soft toys are also available for doggies to play with - from balls to ropes (for tug of war), squeaky toys, and challenging treat toys to keep their minds stimulated.
