“Bella is wonderful. Not only is she great with my dog (and I'm sure everyone else's) she has her own dogs and cat....so she really understands how pet parents feel. The minute she met my dog, she came into my house, and started brushing him & rubbing his ears...you should have seen his FACE - He nearly fell asleep, lol. She definitely loves animals and she gets it. If she offered boarding/daycare, I'd totally trust her with my dog and I am VERY protective of my dog bc daycares in Riverdale allowed him to be attacked and harmed. She is careful and she actually cares.”
“We traveled for a few days and everything went perfectly. Yuri took great care of our dog, followed all instructions, and kept us at ease while we were away. We came home to a happy and well-cared-for pup!! Highly recommend!”

“Craig is awesome! He had really great communication and is so flexible. Our high energy dogs can be tough for some folks, but he genuinely enjoyed spending time with them and our babies clearly enjoyed his walks, pets, and love. Will definitely be requesting Craig again for any future walking needs. Highly recommend!!”

“Lorenzo was great! Very responsive, punctual, flexible with schedule, clear communicator, and my dog clearly enjoyed her time with him. I'll definitely ask him to help me out with weekly walks going forward.”

About: From 2013 to 2024 I was the owner of a beloved and high energy golden retriever named Ranger. Through my experience I understand how important and crucial it is for dogs to get the opportunity to get outside and burn off some excess energy. Let me take care of that for you! If your dog has the ability to run; I can provide multiple miles of pure jogging for your dog! I’m currently working full time Monday - Friday. But after the passing of my beloved golden retriever Ranger. I would love the opportunity to brighten your dogs day with an outdoor walk or run on the evenings or anytime Saturday and Sunday! As a life long runner I can run multiple miles if your dog likes that kind of challenge! Only walking dogs at the moment. Current owner of a young cat named chef who has grown up around dogs most of his life. Cheers!
“Michael is amazing with my golden boy Zuppa. I always know Z is safe in happy in his hands.. additionally, he is a great communicator and very accommodating. I will definitely be a return customer. Highly recommend!”

“Wendy really rose to the occasion when our regular sitter called out sick. We were panicked to find someone to take our puppy out for some outdoor time and she really came to the rescue. Wendy was on time, easy to communicate with, and respectful. Would not hesitate to book with her again.”

“Tatiana was so great with Oliver! This was their first walk together and we could tell that he loved her! She made sure he got plenty of exercise while also giving him some breaks due to the heat. Highly recommend Tatiana!”

About: Hi! I’m a huge animal lover and truly enjoy spending time caring for pets of all personalities and energy levels. I have two dogs and three cats myself. They are the highlight of my life. My goal is to create a safe, comforting, and fun environment so every pet feels relaxed and happy with me while their owner is away. I have experience caring for dogs with high anxiety, and I understand how important patience, gentle handling, and consistency are for helping them feel secure. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and comfort level so I can give them the care and attention they need to feel comfortable and safe. I also have medication experience in both cats and dogs. I currently work full time. I will be able to wake up early to tend to everyone before leaving for work. Once I get off, I will be able to come back and spend the rest of the day with your pet! When taking care of your animals, they are my main priority. I can easily bring them out whenever needed, even if they wake me up in the middle of the night! Animals have their own way of communicating with us and I prioritize learning how each individual animal communicates to better understand how I can help them and make sure they get the care that they deserve.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hartsdale
Wendy was wonderful. She connected with Oliver right away. My dog is usually afraid of people but he warmed up quite quickly to Wendy. She was prompt with her responses and was punctual with walking times. I would definitely have her help us out again in the future. Thank you so much Wendy!

She’s exceptional. So kind and sweet and patient. My rescue puppy was scared of the wind and she took her time with him. Sat with him on the floor so he’d eat his food. Made sure he was comfortable before putting him on the leash. 10/10 will definitely rebook with her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
