A Camp-Like Stay with Caring Family

We’re a true dog-loving family with years of hands-on experience caring for pups of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Our home offers a large, fully fenced yard perfect for safe play and zoomies, plus a calm, structured indoor environment for rest and routine. With two gentle, animal-loving kids and our friendly (and very spoiled!) Shiba Inu, Miko, visiting dogs get both social interaction and plenty of one-on-one attention. We’re attentive to each dog’s needs — whether that’s high-energy play, puppy consistency, senior care, or simply extra cuddles. Your dog won’t just be watched — they’ll be welcomed, cared for, and treated like part of our family.

Ari and his family took wonderful care of Freddie while we were away. He came back happy, healthy, and clearly had a great time playing with their kids. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos throughout the week, which gave us complete peace of mind. We would absolutely use their services in the future.

Rowan had an amazing time at Ari & Karen’s! He was neutered just a week ago so he needed some extra care - they did a great job helping him with the recovery and making the day enriching for him at the same time! Rowan also loved short walks in their big yard - can’t wait to bring him back after he recovers so he can run around in it next time! :)

Schedule

Pet care fits seamlessly into our daily life because we’re genuinely home a lot. Karen works from home full-time, and I work hybrid, spending at least half of the week working from home as well. That means consistent adult supervision and attention throughout the day — not long stretches of dogs being left alone. As a family, we love being active and outdoors. We spend a lot of time in our large yard playing and relaxing, and we regularly enjoy dog-friendly outdoor activities like neighborhood walks, park outings, and family time outside. Visiting pups become part of that rhythm — whether it’s supervised backyard play, fresh-air adventures, or cozy downtime inside. Your dog won’t just be staying somewhere — they’ll be included in a warm, active home where they get engagement, structure, and plenty of love.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. We have a large, fully fenced yard for secure outdoor play, and all time outside is supervised. Inside, our home is clean, calm, and dog-friendly, with plenty of space to rest and relax. We carefully manage introductions with our Shiba, Miko, to ensure everyone feels comfortable, and we follow each dog’s individual routine — including feeding schedules, medication if needed, crate preferences, and sleep habits. We’re happy to crate if that’s what your dog is used to, or provide a cozy, structured environment if they prefer more freedom. Our goal is simple: a safe, structured, loving environment where your dog feels secure and at home.

A typical day

A typical day includes plenty of outdoor time, play, and relaxed family moments. Mornings usually start with time in our large fenced yard where dogs can explore, play, and burn off energy. Throughout the day we mix supervised backyard play, neighborhood walks, and dog-friendly outdoor activities depending on each pup’s energy level. Inside the house, dogs can relax, nap, and be part of our family’s daily routine. With Karen working from home and me home several days a week, there’s always someone around to give attention, playtime, and care. Evenings are usually calm and cozy with plenty of affection and downtime so pups can wind down comfortably. We also trained Miko with multiple tricks so love to stimulate dogs mentally when they are up for the challenge.

Before each stay, we love learning about your dog’s personality, routine, and preferences so we can make them feel comfortable and at home. It’s helpful to know their feeding schedule, energy level, sleep habits, any training cues they follow, and whether they are crate trained. We also like to understand how they interact with other dogs, children, and new environments so we can make introductions smooth and safe. If your dog has any medical needs, anxieties, or special instructions, we’re happy to accommodate. Our goal is to create a safe, predictable, and loving experience tailored to each dog.
