About: I had a family dog since I had a baby he was a dachshund and lived for 18 years. I have dog sitted before in middle school with my sister and it was great having to take care of cute dogs. I know how to handle dogs. I am currently working part time so I have time to take care of dogs and can walk them in the morning before I go into work. I am very cautious when taking care of dog before walking them I will check if their collar or harness it tightly secured (not too tight) so they won’t slip away.

“Alyssa is amazing! She was very responsive and organized. She took good care of our cat and left detailed visit notes. She was our first Rover cat sitter experience and we were glad that we were able to have her taking care of our cat while we enjoyed our vacation. Will def rebook with her for our future trips.”

“What a wonderful cat sitter! She took great care of my three cats, and was very gracious about a misunderstanding on my end. Great to work with. She house sat for me and also left the place in a wonderful condition. I would be happy to leave my babies with her again, fully recommended.”

“Brooke cheerfully agreed to do last minute drop ins for me over the Christmas holiday. She was prompt, reliable and sent me pics of my cat every time she came. I am very happy to recommend Brooke’s services, and will certainly ask for her again myself.”

About: Over thirty years of cat companionship, and not a single one of my cats arrived by my own design. The Cat Distribution System has excellent taste. My current household includes two cats: Gretchen and Ice. Gretchen came to me as a tiny feral kitten I pulled from under an abandoned car. She went on to live a full and varied life — including a stint as a working mouser on a goat farm — and has now retired into a life of quiet domesticity, which she has fully earned. Ice is a chonker with tummy trouble who would simply rather not. We love him against his wishes. I can handle all the usual care — feeding, litter boxes, playtime, cuddles if your cat is into that. I'm also comfortable giving pills and injections, which not everyone can say. And after three decades of cat companionship, I know cat behavior well enough to tell the difference between a cat just being a cat and a cat who actually needs a vet. That distinction matters, and I won't miss it. Your cat will be in good hands. Even if they pretend not to care.

“Jason did an amazing job taking care of my 3 cats! I asked a lot of Jason by scheduling 3 drop-in visits/day and he made every visit. It was my first time hiring a pet sitter so I was quite nervous but once I met Jason he put me at ease. I felt that my cats were in good hands and being a vet tech made me more comfortable if anything were to go wrong(all went well). I also felt at ease with Jason coming into my home. I highly recommend hiring Jason to help you with your fur babies.”

“We hired Euree to care for our two cats over the holiday season, and she did a fantastic job. Not only did she handle the essentials like food and litter, but she also went above and beyond by cleaning up after our cats when they had some anxiety-related stomach issues. Most importantly, our cats truly enjoyed her company. The daily updates she provided gave us total peace of mind, allowing us to relax and enjoy our trip. Thank you, Euree!”

“Our two big girls had a great first stay with Amy for “daycare.” Amy provided me with excellent support in planning our visit and during the stay. She has a lovely home with a fenced yard. Our dogs were in great care, and she had complete command of the pack. They were excellent and tired tonight at our home. I highly recommend Amy for a daycare stay.”

About: Ive been a professional dog walker for 7 years in my neighborhood. Everywhere I go they ask where are the dogs?? Ive had many satisfied clients. I have slots for more dogs daily. Small dogs are my preference since I have in a small area for them to play in. Overnights are fine too. I have a main play room in my space for smaller dogs. “Rowan had an amazing time at Ari & Karen’s! He was neutered just a week ago so he needed some extra care - they did a great job helping him with the recovery and making the day enriching for him at the same time! Rowan also loved short walks in their big yard - can’t wait to bring him back after he recovers so he can run around in it next time! :)”

About: I’m an experienced dog owner with two dogs—a Cocker Spaniel and a Chihuahua/Yorkie mix. I’m the sole caregiver and handle all pet care myself. I’m used to daily routines like feeding, walks, and playtime, and I understand different dog personalities, from energetic to shy. I make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and treated like part of the family. I’m available for pet care most days and can be flexible with timing. On Wednesdays, I’m unavailable from 12–6 PM, but I’m free before and after that window. I’m available to walk dogs daily, and my weekend availability depends on the specific times needed, but I’m generally flexible. I’m happy to work with your schedule to find times that fit both of us. I care for pets by keeping a consistent and attentive routine. At home, I walk my dogs every morning for 30 minutes to an hour, usually around my neighborhood near a local high school. I let them out around midday, walk them again in the early evening, and give them another bathroom break at night. I feed them twice a day and make sure they get a treat before bed. When caring for a client’s pet, I follow their routine closely, ensure pets are always supervised, use secure leashes during walks, and prioritize their comfort, safety, and well-being at all times.

About: Hi! My name is Margaret & I have over 25 years of experience caring for pets, and I am working to raise the bar around pet care. I’m currently enrolled in a virtual masters program and work from home, so I can provide pets a high level of attention and care. I also enjoy exercising and will take dogs in my care on long walks, nature hikes and outdoor activities. Note: My calendar is generally kept up to date, but I sometimes get last minute request that I haven’t had time to update in my Rover calendar. So it is always best to reach out to confirm my availability. I work to ensure my home environment is safe for both my resident cat and the animals in my care. - Boarded dogs will sleep either with or near me and have constant access to their bed, food, water and toys. - My backyard is big, open and partially fenced, allowing for supervised and tethered play. - Boarded cats will have exclusive access to my office, where they can eat, sleep and retreat into, if they wish. They are also encouraged to explore the rest of my home, as they wish. Please note: I do not allow my resident cat to interact with boarding cat(s) for everyone’s happiness and safety. To ensure engagements are safe and positive: 1) I require all new boarding and house sitting clients to have an introductory phone call with me before finalizing booking requests AND before meeting in person (if appropriate). - I also strongly advise that we have an in-person meeting at your home for all pet sitting engagements. 2) I have a resident cat and as such, all boarding / daycare pets must be cat safe, have low prey drive and/or have low reactivity.

“We had a great experience with Consuelo during our 3 day vacation! She arrived at 6:30am on the dot each morning, our agreed upon time. She took our dog Buster for a 30 minute walk, and took photos along the way. Buster barks and pulls a lot, and she handled him very well! She gave a detailed report of the walk each day. After only 3 days, I have a great deal of confidence in Consuelo's reliability and her interaction with Buster. We will definitely ask her to help us again!”

“Shawn did such a great job with our Bo and made the most out of the 30 minutes with him! He was an excellent communicator and left us a great recap of their time together. I really appreciated the detail and care!”

“Tara is super communicative and easy to work with. We love that she has a lot of experience working with animals, including in veterinary settings. She is gentle and patient with our dog Sansa, and overall handles her very well.”

“Amandine took great care of our little Shih Tzu boy! We were having an unusually late night in the city for New Year’s Eve, and Badger is happiest at home so I didn’t want to board him somewhere overnight if I didn’t have to. Amandine was able to come twice that evening for his dinner and a couple outings. He got up to all his usual silliness on her visits, and was happy as a clam when we got home. Badger was comfortable with her right away and my husband and I were able to enjoy our Brooklyn NYE (Robyn at The Paramount, which was worth the very late night!) knowing he was taken care of and would be waiting for us when we got home. Amandine is very friendly and professional, and more than qualified to be a wonderful petsitter. We highly recommend her services!”

“Kerry is a gem!! My senior dog needs lots of TLC and patience (he's lost most of his vision and hearing, has trouble with stairs and occasionally gets confused), so I was nervous about bringing in someone to walk him. Kerry immediately put my fears to rest -- asked all the right questions, was wonderful with my dog, and communicated well and often during the visit. I won't hesitate to have him visit again and am relieved I found him.”

About: I’ve lived with dogs my entire life and got my own dog at the age of 8. I have raised 2 dogs since they were a puppy, one during middle school and the other in high school. I am very active so helping your dog get enough exercise or long walk are not an issue for me. I’m looking to walk dogs in between my class schedule to make some money while I am still in school and some buddies to take on walks with me. It is not an option for me to bring pets into my home, due to roommates. I’m happy to do check in and make sure your pets and safe and cared for in you own home.
“Leigh was great. I was able to be there at the start of the walk, and Leigh asked great questions about what commands my dog knew and what my walk preferences were. She was patient with my dog (who is a puppy) and since they stayed on my property at my request, I was able to watch Leigh play with my puppy outside. Leigh did a great job, and I have asked her to walk my dog on a more regular basis as a result.”

I grew up working on a friend’s farm in Oregon where I cared for dogs, cats, goats, chickens, peacocks, horses and ducks. I have extensive experience caring for different breeds of small and large dogs and cats. I am a cat behaviorist and cat sitter and have over 5 years experience caring for emergency medical cases for kittens and cats through my volunteer work with a nonprofit cat rescue in NYC called Little Wanderers NYC. As part of my volunteer work, I am trained to provide a wide variety of medical care to cats and kittens including subcutaneous injections, vaccines, eye infection treatment, neonatal cat care, bottle feeding for newborn kittens, and oral medications. I am a master at clipping nails for so if your pet needs some grooming I’m happy to provide some spa treatment. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they have everything they need to be healthy, engaged and happy. I am detail oriented and will treat each animal with special attention; providing care tailored to each individual pet’s unique personality and preferences. Outside of my part-time work caring for dogs and cats, I am a scientist and high school science teacher. I have a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley and BS in Biochemistry so I have an extensive background in medical science. My research background includes specializations in infectious diseases and cancer biology. As a scientist (molecular and cell biologist, biochemist, structural biologist, biophysicist), I have over 18 years of experience in biomedical research and teaching. I look forward to meeting your pup or kitty! I’m a scientist and high school science teacher so I work part time in the summer and have availability to provide care for your best friend. Your furry friend’s safety and comfort are my #1 priority. I have extensive experience helping pets adjust to new spaces/people and will be patient and thoughtful as your pet adjusts to being around a new person in their home. As a volunteer with Little Wandering NYC animal rescue, I have supported and coached many families through the process of helping their pet adjust to changes in their environment or with moving to a new home after adoption. Moreover, I have also supported families with introducing their new adopted cat to other animals in the home so everyone (all pets) can adjust to the change in a way that is the healthiest for all pets and humans involved in the introduction and change in environment.

“It was so helpful to have Torre walk our Bo. I appreciated the quick communication and recap/pics of their time together. I know when Bo had a great time and could tell from his smile in the photos!”

“First time back on Rover in a while. Needed a find a new dog sitter for a long weekend away and found Nandita. Excellent sitter. We met before the stay to see if my lab would get along with hers. Happy dog = happy dog Dad. Thanks Nandita! You rock.”

“Diane did an amazing job looking after our two cavalier king Charles spaniels. The day she picked them up, one of our dogs had gotten into something the night before and was sick. She generously offered to make him rice and chicken from scratch until his appetite for his normal food returned. She frequently updated me throughout their stay and took amazing care of them. Highly recommend!!”
