About: I was raised with cats and dogs and have always loved animals. I have large and small dogs and cats and one horse. I even take care of butterflies! I can feed, medicate, train and love house pets and livestock. I worked for over thirty years as a psychiatric technician, so I can give injections to people and animals. I am patient, reliable and kind, and am a karate instructor in my spare time, so I can keep up with large and active animals. I groom my own large dogs and give them vaccinations, as well as my horse. I have handled a variety of animal-related emergencies, including snake bites, birth, evacuations from fires, and end-of-life care. I treat my animals like they are family.
“Gabby did an excellent job house sitting for our two large dogs while we were away on vacation. She kept us updated every day with photos and videos playing with our dogs and taking them on walks. Our dogs took to her immediately and we came home to happy, well cared for fur babies. Knowing our pups were so well taken care of allowed us to relax and truly enjoy our vacation. We would rebook with Gabby in a heartbeat for our next time out of town!”

“Kat was amazing! She cared for our deaf Great Dane, smaller dog, bearded dragon, and tortoise like they were her own. She was very communicative and we got several detailed updates and pics a day, and came home to happy pets, thriving plants, and a spotless house. I highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all kinds for over 20 years, starting when I was young. Friends, family, and neighbors have always trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pets like my own. Over the years, I’ve gained experience with puppies, high-energy dogs, and more calm or senior dogs who need extra patience and gentle care. I’m very attentive to each pet’s personality and unique needs—whether that means lots of playtime, cozy cuddles, or sticking to a structured routine. I truly enjoy building a bond with every pet I care for and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy in my presence. I know how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby, and I don’t take that lightly. I’ll treat your pet with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I’m also happy to provide updates, photos, and communication while you’re away so you can feel completely at ease knowing your pet is in good hands. My goal is to create a calm, loving, and reliable environment where your pet feels cared for, secure, and genuinely happy until you return 🤍🐾 I work early mornings, which allows me to have consistent availability in the late afternoons and evenings. I’m available for check-ins, walks, and quality time after my shifts, and I can also accommodate weekend care. I’m reliable, punctual, and committed to making sure your pet’s routine stays consistent. I prioritize safety, comfort, and trust in every home I care for. I always follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walk times, and any specific instructions provided. I make sure pets are secure at all times, whether that means properly leashing during walks or ensuring doors and gates are closed. In your home, I’m respectful, clean, and treat your space with care. I provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you feel at ease while you’re away. My goal is to create a calm, safe, and loving environment where your pet feels comfortable and cared for.
“Lola spent the day with us getting to know our cantankerous pup while we prepped for a wedding. She was able to gain her trust, and we were able to rest easy that Pepper Potts was in good hands. Lola also sent us updates while we were away, which were greatly appreciated.”

“Adriana was great, London had a good time and we got back and everything was cleaner than we left it. She communicated often with frequent updates to make sure our pup was happy and well-cared for.”

“Angelina did such a great job with my two big pups! She sent me pictures and kept me updated on how they were doing. I will definitely be booking her again! Thank you so much for taking such great care of my fur babies!”
“I have booked Monique 2x now and she has been really helpful with our fur baby. She has been communicative and sending us updates. She also is very prompt with her visits. Thanks Monique for caring for our Marshall. We appreciate you. See you again soon!”

“Ally was incredible with our 3 fur babies and they absolutely loved her. She provided us multiple updates and pictures throughout each day. Because we live so close to wildlife her updates made us feel at ease so we could enjoy our vacation. We definitely recommend her and will continue to have Ally care for our fur babies in the future.”

“Laurie Beth is simply amazing! I have two vocal beagles, one of which has severe anxiety and is epileptic. This dog is very slow to warm up to people. It took a bit but Laurie Beth got her to come around and even got kisses! I was stunned. Laurie was very punctual and sent videos and pictures. She treated my babies and our home like they were her own. Going out of town is now much easier. She will be sitting for us in the future”

About: I've taken care of my neighbors pets off and on since 2018. Along with that I have taken care of my own dog since 2019. I don't mind picking up after a dog or if necessary cleaning up a dog in case something goes wrong I'm currently between jobs but I make it a priority to walk my dog every morning around my neighborhood 2-3 times a day 7 days a week. I make sure my dog is fed every morning and night, we play whenever she has too much energy or gets zoomies. Checking in on my neighbors or technically clients animals was always a top priority every morning or every other morning depending on instructions. I have no issues house sitting if it is needed
About: I have volunteered at shelters all my life where I would play and walk the shelter dogs. I would also food prep and make toys I’m a full time college student and working part time as an animal care staff in a lab, so I am usually busy in the mornings. But my job allows me to be very flexible with scheduling which means more time to play and care for animals on the side! The biggest thing for me when caring for a pet is making sure they feel confident and comfortable with me. Less stress meanings happier dog.
About: Hi! I’m Tanya — a local pet care provider specializing in dependable, attentive care for pets in the comfort of their own home. 🐾 I provide dog walks, drop-in visits, cat care, and limited in-home vacation care with a strong focus on consistency, communication, and maintaining your pet’s normal routine. Pet care is part of my regular daily schedule — not something I fit in around another full-time job. I intentionally limit the number of clients I accept so I can provide reliable, personalized care and give each pet the time and attention they deserve. For pet parents traveling, I offer a structured approach to in-home vacation care designed to provide more continuity than traditional drop-in visits. Care is built around your pet’s established routine and may include multiple periods of care throughout the day, meals, walks or potty breaks, companionship, home check-ins, and regular photo updates. Overnight stays are considered on a case-by-case basis depending on your pet’s routine and care needs. My priority is creating a care plan that keeps your pet comfortable, safe, and secure in their familiar environment while you’re away. You can expect clear communication, thoughtful updates, respectful care of your home, and a pet sitter who genuinely pays attention to the little things. Whether I’m part of your pet’s weekly routine or caring for them while you travel, my goal is simple: dependable care you don’t have to worry about. 🤍 My schedule is intentionally planned to provide each client with dependable, high-quality care. Recurring walks, midday visits, and vacation bookings tend to fill quickly, so advance booking is always encouraged. As a stay-at-home mom and full-time pet care provider, I maintain my family’s routine before beginning most client care for the day. After that, my schedule is flexible and built around my existing bookings and each pet’s individual care needs. For in-home vacation care and house sitting, availability is limited and care schedules are discussed in advance to ensure your pet’s routine is a good fit with my existing client schedule. Overnight stays are considered on a case-by-case basis. Booking ahead is highly recommended—especially for recurring care, school-year schedules, holidays, and vacation travel. 🐾 Your pet’s safety and your home’s security are both priorities in my care. I’m experienced working with pets of different sizes, ages, temperaments, and routines, and I take time to understand what is normal for your pet. Changes in appetite, bathroom habits, energy, behavior, or overall demeanor are things I pay attention to and communicate with you when appropriate. I follow home access and security instructions carefully and treat every client’s space with respect. During vacation care, I also keep an eye on the everyday details of the home — bringing in packages or mail when requested, checking doors and gates, and helping maintain the lived-in routine of the household. I believe good pet care is equal parts affection and attention to detail. You’ll receive honest communication and regular updates so you always know how things are going while you’re away.

About: I've taken care of all kinds of animals since I was 9 from neighbors, friends, and family. I have experience with pet sitting reptiles, dogs, cats, hamsters, bunnies and even horses. I own a bearded dragon and two small dogs, both potty trained with a doggy door available for them to come inside and out. I volunteered for a few years at my local animal shelter with the newborn kittens , walking dogs, and sometimes helping with their pigs and goats. Both of my dogs are friendly with others. I'm currently working part time so I am mostly available all week other than mornings on Friday (10am-1pm) and Saturday (9am-12pm). If it's alright for me to be able to leave to go to work I can pet sit all week long. My own dogs get fed early in the morning then again right around dinner time. Let me know your dogs feeding schedule and I will make sure to implement it. My dogs are also regularly walked so I can easily bring yours along or walk them separately depending on what works best. I have two small dogs, both uncrated and well behaved/friendly. I have a doggy door available for your dogs, so if they are used to coming inside and out, they are able to use it. I do want to put on here that I have a full concrete backyard with walls on all sides and a pool. So definitely make sure your pup is okay with being near a pool. And if not, I can also put up gates to block the pool, just message and let me know. Dogs are blocked off and trained to stay out of the living room because we have carpet but they have access to the rest of the house, not allowed on any furniture other than the couches we have outside and their own doggy beds.
The median cost per night for house sitting in Rancho Cucamonga is $63
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rancho Cucamonga
Olivia was great! She was flexible with her time. I had a trip planned and had to leave earlier than anticipated. Olivia adjusted her schedule and came earlier than initially discussed, She communicated and sent pictures frequently. I was reassured that my dog was safe. When I returned, my home was very clean. I will be rebooking with her in the future.

Kat did a fantastic job watching over our dog and home. We appreciated how on top of communication she was including timely responses, updates on our pup, and any questions leading up to the stay. Our pup seemed very happy and at ease during and after her stay. She was very kind, respectful, and overall did a great job. We will definitely use her services again. Thank you Kat!

This is our first time using a service/app like this. We were in a bind with a looming trip, and honesty had no other options besides one of us missing altogether. We were nervous having previously only used family and close friends to house sit and dog sit. However Kellie’s reviews and number of repeat clients had us feeling a little more comfortable. Luckily she was available very last minute and agreed to meet with us and the dogs which made us feel even more comfortable with the process. We left and by the 2nd day we were feeling much more comfortable with the situation due to her updates and photos. When the trip ended and we returned, we found the house in better shape than we left it in, and the dogs were still happy and healthy. Overall we are very pleased with Kellie and are happy we have found someone that we may be able to use again!

I had a wonderful experience with Madison. She was extremely communicative, followed all care instructions carefully, and was very attentive to detail. Jane has specific medical needs, and she monitored her respiratory rate, pulse, and overall comfort thoughtfully and responsibly. She was gentle, patient, and respectful of Jane’s temperament. She even went above and beyond by helping with household tasks without being asked. I felt completely at ease knowing Jane was in capable and caring hands. I highly recommend her!

Rosalinda was amazing! I’m so grateful she accepted my last minute booking. She was great about communication. I hired her for dog sitting in home. She gave my senior dog lots of attention & affection. I got plenty of pictures and updates. She took him on walks and even took him on stroller rides, which was a new treat for him. And my place was just as I left it. I would definitely book with her again!

Kendall came in clutch for us last minute over the holidays when our other pet sitter had a family emergency that left us in a bit of a pickle. She was communicative, on time, and followed all our doggy instructions perfectly. Most importantly, our dogs were healthy and happy when we got home! Would definitely recommend her if you’re looking for someone to care for your fur babies.

The absolute best dog sitter/house sitter I have ever hired. The dogs loved her! She was kind, trustworthy and took excellent care of the house! I would highly recommend her. She sent daily pictures of all 5 animals and kept in touch so I was assured everyone was safe. She is really smart and you know your animals will be I the best hands. Worth every penny!

Miracle sitter! I booked a guy originally because my 60 pound pitbull refused to use the stairs so we had to carry him up and down. Justin was able to get my dog to go up and down the stairs! I enjoyed all the text message notifications on how he was doing. Justin paid attention to my general health instructions for Tyson as he was recovering from surgery (neutered). My dog loves him, and seemed very well walked and cared for!

Diana is the best! This is the second time I have used her services to watch my 3 dogs in our home. She is reliable and takes excellent care of my dogs. I feel at ease knowing she is taking care of them. She sends me daily updates and pictures of their activities. They are at ease with her. I highly recommend Diana and will use her again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Rancho Cucamonga walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Rancho Cucamonga maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rancho Cucamonga choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
