Caring for Your Pets With Patience
I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have had both cats and dogs as part of my family for as long as I can remember. I was also an equestrian in my youth, which gave me an early appreciation for animals, their individual personalities, and the importance of patience and gentle, consistent care. I previously worked as an Adoption Counselor at the Humane Society, where I gained hands-on experience caring for animals with a wide variety of personalities and needs. I’m comfortable working with nervous, shy, anxious, and challenging dogs and cats, and I understand that every pet requires a different approach. I have a large 1/4 acre yard with a pool so there’s plenty of room to tire out pups and keep them busy. I also have experience administering medications, trimming nails, and handling routine pet-care needs. Most importantly, I’m patient and attentive and take the time to earn an animal’s trust. My goal is for your pets to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

When caring for pets in their own homes, my first priority is always their safety, comfort, and routine. I take the time to learn each pet’s individual habits, personality, and needs before their owner leaves. I’m careful to: * Follow feeding, medication, and care instructions exactly * Keep doors, gates, and windows securely closed * Make sure pets have fresh water and a safe, comfortable environment * Keep dogs safely leashed whenever outside and never leave them unattended in unsafe areas * Be especially attentive with nervous, shy, or anxious pets * Watch for changes in behavior, appetite, energy, or bathroom habits * Keep medications, food, household cleaners, and other potential hazards safely out of reach * Make sure cats remain safely indoors and that doors aren’t accidentally left open * Communicate with owners promptly if I notice anything unusual or concerning I treat every home and every pet with the same care and attention I would want for my own animals. My goal is for you to have complete peace of mind knowing your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

Krista is one of the most kind hearted people you will ever meet. She is kind to humans and animals alike. Of course she is partial to liking animals better than people which led her to become a vegetarian so many years ago. Krista has an old soul and is so caring. Krista wants every animal to be her friend as well as with their human parents. She flocks to animals and animals seem to flock to Krista. I have experienced Krista’s animal care taking responsibilities when she took care of my miniature Mediterranean donkeys and Nigerian dwarf goats. She took great care of them and I was so happy to have found someone who could take care of them when needed in the future.
The 40 plus years I have known Krista she has always loved animals. She has been involved with several animal rescues and veterinary clinics throughout the years. She is reliable and trustworthy, and would be a great sitter for your pets.
Krista is a lifelong animal lover and caretaker, and it shows in everything she does. She has continuously supported local animal shelters and has personally rescued cats and dogs, giving each one a loving, stable home. Her focus is always on the animals' wellbeing, and she brings real knowledge of training, enrichment, and health to every pet she cares for. I can't recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for a warm, attentive, and genuinely caring person to watch over their pet.

I work part time with a flexible schedule so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I’m available 7 days a week.

- The more information you can provide about your pet, the better! Every pet has their own personality, routine, preferences, and quirks, and knowing the little details helps me provide the best care possible. Please share their feeding and potty schedule, favorite activities and toys, exercise needs, sleeping habits, and anything that helps them feel comfortable. I’d also like to know about medications, allergies, dietary restrictions, fears, sensitivities, or behaviors I should be aware of. My goal is to follow your instructions carefully, maintain their normal routine, and make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.
