“Bonnie is a fantastic dog/house sitter. She's super friendly, reliable, and easy to work with. And I love how she provides multiple photo updates throughout the day. Thanks Bonnie.”

“Keller was truly wonderful with Pasha and Marie! I have such a hard time leaving my pets, especially because Pasha is older and has some health needs and medications, so I usually don’t feel like I have the freedom to go on trips without having so much anxiety about them. Keller really changed that for me. They were so kind, thoughtful, communicative, and attentive from the very beginning. They sent lots of updates and photos, asked thoughtful questions, and were so careful with Pasha’s routine, walks, meals, and medications. It was clear that they genuinely cared about both of my girls feeling comfortable, safe, and loved. Pasha and Marie both warmed up to Keller so quickly, which honestly says everything. Having someone I could actually trust with my fur babies made such a huge difference, and I’m so grateful we found them. I will absolutely continue using Keller to watch my fur babies and highly recommend them.”

“Wendy took such good care of my cats. I have a new kitten in addition to my two adult cats and she had to maneuver feeding them in 3 areas and spending time with each cat. They were happy and well cared for when I got home.”

“Gabriela was amazing! She took care of our pets which not just include dogs but also a bunny and some farm animals! She was great about sending pictures and staying in touch with updates so that we felt comfortable the entire time we were away. I would recommend her 100%!”

About: I use to pet and babysit a lot throughout the years, sometimes at the same time. Mostly for close friends and family and it's always been very rewarding and fulfilling for me to do. My mission is to look after my clients pets as if they were my own and provide a sense of ease to pet parents while they're in my care. I've recently gone back to college and looking to work part time hours as a dog walker or pet sitter to help me get by. My classes are currently online, and I'm able to which allows for some flexibility in my weekly schedule. I like to ask pet parents to provide me with a written breakdown of everything they would want me to know about they're pet in order to care for them properly. Such as the pets temperament around other pets/animals or if there's any special accomodations needed.

About: I was raised with cats and dogs and have always loved animals. I have large and small dogs and cats and one horse. I even take care of butterflies! I can feed, medicate, train and love house pets and livestock. I worked for over thirty years as a psychiatric technician, so I can give injections to people and animals. I am patient, reliable and kind, and am a karate instructor in my spare time, so I can keep up with large and active animals. I groom my own large dogs and give them vaccinations, as well as my horse. I have handled a variety of animal-related emergencies, including snake bites, birth, evacuations from fires, and end-of-life care. I treat my animals like they are family.
About: - fundamental love for animals. - understanding pets have different personalities and preferences. - update you with photos and check in’s. -administering medications is not an issue for me. Animals mean so much to me and I would love to help take care of yours. I’m between jobs right now, so I have a lot of time to pay attention and offer great care and love to your pets. Ensuring safety to an animal is extremely important to me whether it’s on a walk keeping distance from other animals or just at home keeping a watchful eye.
“Cheyenne really went above and beyond taking care of our babies while we were away! She gave them lots of cuddles and sent lots of great photos and updates, she even did arts and crafts with them and made “paw paintings” with them! Plus she stayed late with them when our flight was delayed. She’s always patient and kind with our big dogs, we’re so grateful to have found such a reliable and thoughtful Dogsitter.”

“Lydia cared for our German Shepherd puppy and senior Newfoundland while we went on a short vacation. Immediately after meeting with her it was evident that she loves dogs and has a great connection with them. She took very good notes to ensure she followed the pups routine and kept us informed with plenty of photos and messages. I would highly recommend her for house sitting or other pet services.”

“Eldar stayed at my home with my girls for 7 days and took wonderful care of them and my home. I was so stressed out about finding someone to stay overnight for that length of time till I met him. My dogs felt at ease as did I. I highly recommend him and glad I found a dog/house sitter that I will use whenever I leave town. He also cleaned the house and repaired a window on a door when I was gone ?. 5 stars for Eldar!”

About: I am a reliable and attentive animal lover who understands that pets are family (I grew up with dogs, cats, and a bird and tortoise!). Whether it’s long walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to a routine, I’ll treat your pet like my own. I’m currently a student at Claremont Grad University where I’m getting my teaching credential. My classes are online so I have flexible evenings. My weekends are generally available as well. I am very attentive of the animals in my care. I always strive to ensure they feel comfortable and happy while their parents are away!
“Phenomenal engagement with both of my pups and very comfortable with them considering they are big dogs. Would absolutely have him come and dog sit with my pups again. I know they enjoyed their time with him.”

About: I have had my yorkie for 10+ yrs. and have dog sat friends fur babies. I love dogs and they are treated better than family. I work full time but only work about 15 min away from my house and I have a dog of my own who gets walks in the morning mid-day and evening. Pets also have free range of my home. Pets in my home have free range to the whole house we have a yard but it is not fenced in but we do take them out on walks and play with them, we also love to cuddle with them and give them all the love they want. My dog eats throughout the day but we stick to other dogs' feeding schedule. If the pet is in their own home I make sure they follow the rules they're used to.

Charlotte took such great care of my two pups! We were gone for 5 days and she cared for the pups like her own. She kept us updated throughout the whole time, sent pictures, made sure the dogs were fed, and gave them all the cuddles and belly rubs! Our flight home got delayed and charlotte was willing to stay a bit longer to keep the dogs company. She even fed them their dinner and let them out before we got home so that we didn’t have to worry about it when we got back. So grateful for her!

Thank you Kellar for taking such good care of our senior pup! We were nervous about going away for the weekend and leaving our dog at home since he is starting to show his age. Kellar was great about sending us updates and taking extra special care of our dog when he had some anxious nights while we were gone.

Marx took great care of my senior citizen pup while I was away and communicated effectively when he had questions, or needing clarification. I also got sick while on my travels and Marx so graciously was able to stay another day so I could recover and enjoy the remainder of my trip. My dog seemed happy and well taken care of when I returned home. I would definitely use and recommend Marx again to others.

I can’t say enough good things about Victoria! This was my second time booking her, and she once again took exceptional care of my pups during a challenging time for us. Just a couple weeks before our scheduled pet sitting, our house flooded, and Victoria was incredibly flexible in accommodating us. She had to watch the dogs at a nearby hotel and kept me updated with adorable pictures of their walks and all the fun they had together. Her dedication and love for animals are evident, and I felt completely at ease knowing my dogs were in such good hands. I will definitely continue to book with Victoria for all our future pet sitting needs. Highly recommend!

Sophie was with Archie for the first time and only for 24 hours overnight. I think she did a good job with him, but she had some difficulty getting him to go for walks. He can be a bit stubborn and one has to let him know who is the boss. She administered his meds and adhered to his schedule well. I would have liked a bit more feedback from her or a photo or two about what she did to entertain him while we were away. I reached out to her a couple of times to see how her stay with him was going. However, her time with him was short. I'm sure if she were with him for a longer time, we would have had regular messages from her. All in all, we found Sophie to be a sweet young woman and would consider hiring her again. She also did a meet and greet visit with us a few days before her stay.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 10,651 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Narod. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Narod walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Narod maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Narod choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
