Simply put LIANNA IS THE BEST!! I totally forgot to leave Lianna a review the first time she cared for my beloved pup for me but on both occasions she has been exceptional. She is so accommodating, responsive, responsible and trustworthy. My dog adores her and it’s clear to see from the videos she takes for me. I feel so lucky to have found Lianna, you couldn’t ask for a better sitter. If you’re reading this, look no further and just do yourself a favor and hire Lianna!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! These two are amazing animal lovers and they are extremely respectful. Tons of photos & updates of our little pup and our kitties! There was never a time where I felt concerned about the welfare of my home or animals. They are incredibly thoughtful and took phenomenal care of our babies. Even went to the extent to bring our pups bathroom bell over to their home, to keep up with good habits. Will definitely book with them again and would recommend them to everyone! ?❤️ Thank you both!

Monique is the absolute best!!! You won’t regret booking her. I was going on vacation for 8 days and Monique stayed at my place and took care of my two Pittbulls. I was very anxious and nervous for anyone that wasn’t myself to take care of my boys because one is very high maintenance. He has kidney disease so his diet is very detailed and he has had double ACL replacement surgery a year ago so his exercise is also very detailed and restricted. More than that- my dogs are both rescues and the big one gets separation anxiety from my boyfriend which has caused my dog to severely attack the other when my boyfriend isn’t around- to the point where my other dog has needed surgery. So taking care of my dogs includes a crate and roasts strict schedule and walking the dogs separately. I was full of anxiety trusting anyone with this, but literally within a day of my vacation i was at complete ease seeing how Monique was such a pro with taking care of the dogs properly and keeping them separate. Also 3 earthquakes hit in one morning while Monique was dog sitting- this caused a large storage rack in my garage to collapse and everything fell all over the place. Monique cleaned it up and organized the items that fell. Monique is going to be the only person i ever book with for my dogs.

There aren’t enough words to describe how great our experience with Fabienne was. She watched our dog, Louie, for 6 nights over the Christmas holiday. The peace of mind we felt, knowing our dog was being well cared for, was invaluable! From the very beginning, Fabienne was excellent at communicating with us and always responded promptly. She came early on our departure day to ensure a smooth transition. We received daily updates and photos. Honestly, I’m going to miss talking to Fabienne daily! We will absolutely be hiring her for future dog sitting. So grateful to have found such a caring and trusted dog sitter! Fabienne is incredible!

About: I use to pet and babysit a lot throughout the years, sometimes at the same time. Mostly for close friends and family and it's always been very rewarding and fulfilling for me to do. My mission is to look after my clients pets as if they were my own and provide a sense of ease to pet parents while they're in my care. I've recently gone back to college and looking to work part time hours as a dog walker or pet sitter to help me get by. My classes are currently online, and I'm able to which allows for some flexibility in my weekly schedule. I like to ask pet parents to provide me with a written breakdown of everything they would want me to know about they're pet in order to care for them properly. Such as the pets temperament around other pets/animals or if there's any special accomodations needed.

About: Hi! 👋🏻 From the earliest days of my childhood, I have been surrounded by dogs of all sorts. They were not just pets to me or my family, they were members of our family. The memories of chasing after them in the backyard, caring for them, cuddles, and their loyalty throughout my years have all contributed to shaping the person I am today :) 💕. I’m currently working about 15 hrs a week so, I’m searching for another opportunity in the mornings-afternoons to take care of your furry ones while the opportunity presents itself. I will take care of your dog like my own! I'm dedicated to providing a safe environment for your furry friend 🐾. Your dog's well-being is my top priority. I will always maintain a watchful eye, ensuring that your dog is secure during walks and playtime. I can’t say enough about Kirsten!! BEST dog sitter I have ever had! We had her stay with our very high anxiety dog for 9 days in our home. We recently had to put down our other two dogs and Bentley has been so depressed and we were so worried about boarding him or just having drop ins because he would be by himself. I requested someone that could stay with him the entire time and Kirsten did just that! She came and met him two weeks before and he takes some time to get to know someone, but by the second day he just loved her. She kept him in his routine even letting him sleep with her like he does us. Walked him daily, let him play in the hose daily (one of his favorite things) Sat with him out in yard, played catch with him another favorite thing and checked in everyday with pictures and videos. She went over and beyond…took our trash cans in and out on trash day, took in our mail and packages, emptied our dishwasher, hosed yard everyday, stripped and washed her bedding and washed dog blankets on couch, cleaned bathroom and kitchen. My house was just as I left it. We were also welcomed home with a sweet note and gift for Bentley! She is the BEST and we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing he was so well taken care of like family ❤️ Our last dog sitter was terrible and i was a wreck the entire time, not this time! She will be the only one I will use from now on!! Highly recommend if you are looking for someone to take care of your pets the same as you would!! Thank you again Kirsten!!!

Aurora was a great house sitter that we’ve had for 2 weeks while on vacation. She noticed a strange smell immediately and determined Snax was sprayed by a skunk! She quickly bathed him multiple times to get rid of the smell. She was also very respectful of our home and kept it clean when we got home.

This was our first time booking with Rover, and we had a really great experience with Grace. She stayed with our dogs from yesterday afternoon to today afternoon, and she did an excellent job. The house was kept very clean, and most importantly, our dogs were very well cared for. Our big dog especially liked her, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. We really appreciated her help and would be happy to book her again.

Thank you Makayla! My dogs have never stayed with a dog sitter before and they immediately liked Makayla. Our little one is typically very shy with new people and she just happily went up to meet her with no problems. Our dogs get along sorta :/ and Makayla assured us she would follow or protocols to keep everyone safe and happy and she did. Both dogs wanted to say goodby, they enjoyed their time together.

FAQs for House Sitting - Los Serranos

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Los Serranos on Rover is $37.45 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 10,252 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Los Serranos. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Los Serranos walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Los Serranos maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Los Serranos choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Los Serranos. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
