I've been pet parent to dogs of all sizes, from Chihuahuas to Great Danes to my current Sheepadoodle — there's no dog size or personality that's too much or too little, IMHO. And my experience extends well beyond dogs — cats, snakes, farm animals 🐐, and more. I also happen to share my home with a ball python named Fettuccine Alfredo 🐍, who is a distinguished, low-drama fellow. As a plant parent, I will watch after yours indoor jungles, outdoor gardens, that one fiddle leaf fig you're nervous about. On days when I'm teaching in the afternoons and evenings, I'm still available in the mornings — and I keep my schedule intentionally manageable so I'm never stretched too thin across clients. This isn't something I'm squeezing in around a packed schedule — it's something I've made genuine room for. When I'm in your home for drop-in visits or housesitting, I treat it with the same care and attention I'd give my own. That means following your routines exactly as you've set them, keeping things tidy, and making sure your pets are comfortable and unstressed in their own environment. I take detailed notes at meet-and-greets so nothing gets missed while you're away. On walks, I keep dogs leashed and attentive to their individual energy and needs — a reactive dog gets a very different walk than a social butterfly, and I know the difference. I bring over thirty years of animal experience to reading body language and behavior, so I'm not caught off guard by much. My own home includes a ball python and two cats, so I'm well practiced in managing a multi-species household safely and calmly. I don't offer boarding, which means your dog's visit to my home would only ever be for a meet-and-greet in a low-key, relaxed setting. In any situation that feels off — health, behavior, anything — I err on the side of contacting you immediately and getting to a vet if needed. You'll never be left guessing.

About: What sets me apart is that I’ve cared for dogs through every stage of life. I grew up with three dogs starting when I was 12, so I have experience with everything from managing puppy energy to giving older dogs the patience, gentleness, and attention they need. I’ve also helped friends and family with their dogs over the years, whether that meant walks, drop-ins, or caring for them while they were away. This is the first time since childhood that I’m living without dogs, and I’d love the chance to help care for yours like they’re my own. I work full-time during the week, so weekends are the best fit for me right now. That’s when I have the most flexibility and can give dogs more of my time and attention without feeling rushed. I live in a house with a front and backyard, giving dogs plenty of room to relax, play, and get fresh air. There are also several parks nearby, so walks and outdoor time are easy to work into the day. I know every dog is different, so I’ll make sure to follow their normal routine and keep them comfortable, safe, and cared for like they’re my own.

About: Im here to care for the elderly dogs and disabled dogs who can’t be left home alone and need ample 1:1 attention. I have cared for many senior animals, and know how complex it can be to tend to their changing needs in their golden and twilight years. Have you been worried about leaving your dog home alone while you go out for appointments, errands and social commitments? Are you stressed and need a break from caregiving to tend to our own self care? I’ll stay with your beloved canine family member making sure they are cared for and comfortable when you need to be elsewhere. I currently have availability most days in my schedule as long as i know ahead of time! I’m happy to structure your dog’s need and routines into my own schedule. I offer drop in visits and daytime and evening dog sitting in your home. I am able to bring your dog outside to get fresh air and enjoy the outdoors in your yard. If your home has stairs and your dog needs to be carried, we will discuss safety. On a case by case basis I may be able to take your small dog for a short walk up and down the block, or in the stroller if they use one. My animal clients are elderly and or disabled and typically stay home. Regarding feeding, I do not handle raw meat or pork products. We will work together to meet your dog’s individual needs and customize their care! Size of dog, distance, length and number of visits per day are all on a case by case basis.
