“We had a great experience with Samantha, who looked after our two cats while we were away. One of our cats needs special attention and she went above and beyond to ensure he ate while we were away. Samantha was also extremely accommodating with last minute changes. We look forward to working with her again!”

About: I have many years of experience with small, medium and large dogs. I've worked inside shelters as a volunteer and have fostered dogs with my family for years. I don't currently have any dogs of my own and while I work on a career shift, I am looking to spend more time doing something I love, spending time with dogs and caring for them! I am comfortable with feeding and looking after the individual needs of your dog, whatever that may entail. I can guarantee to give your dog ample play time, long walks, and quality care. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! I am flexible with hours and locations, and available on short notice. I am based in Nyack, so I can work anywhere across Rockland, Westchester, or Northern Bergen counties. I currently work part-time in a mostly remote capacity, so I'm able to be present for your pup, no matter the timing. Days and times that don't work with my in-person obligations are blocked out in my calendar, so please feel free to book with confidence. I would take care of your dog's specific needs with great care, safety and protection included. I would crate your dog if needed, and always check to make sure the environment is safe to leave the dog before heading out, triple checking water bowls, food bowls (if left out), and locking up before going.

Deanna R.

“Deanna was amazing! She is reliable, friendly and took amazing care of my two dogs. One of our dogs can be stubborn and doesn’t like a lot of people, but immediately liked Deanna. Our other dog has epilepsy and is on a lot of medications and Deanna gave our dog all of the pills and medications that she needed. She is trustworthy, genuine and gave a detailed report.”

Jalyssa D.

Cindy B.

“Cindy is an amazing pet sitter! She arrived promptly each time and took great care of my dog for her "drop in" visits. She sent me many photos and asked questions through the Rover text messages. She left my house very clean and was careful about the key to let herself in and out. I would highly recommend her!”

About: Q: What sets you apart from other sitters? Be sure to include any special skills like training puppies or senior care. A: I grew up with two dogs, one of which was a stray that had previously been abused and required additional patience and compassion in order to trust. Also grew up with an indoor/outdoor long haired cat that needed a lot of help being groomed. Over the past 6 years I've dog and catsat for a handful of friends and family - including larger breeds (German Shepard and Pit bull being among them). And most recently, I adopted a cat my cousin found outside her apartment in Brooklyn (after going through all the motions of confirming there were no current owners of course) and having this little fur-ball around around consistently has reminded me just how happy being around, and caring for, animals makes me - so I'd love to share some of that love with your pets! Q: How does pet care fit into your daily or weekly routine? A: I work from home as a freelance writer and can bring my laptop anywhere. My day is normally pretty flexible - meetings here and there that can usually be rescheduled if something comes up. Q: How do you care for pets in your home and/or your client's home? A: I take pet parent instructions very seriously and understand no two pets are alike. I approach every animal with patience, calm and love - and if they're up for it, I love to engage them toys if they have/like and of course give snuggles and pets if welcome.

Anat W.
“Our dog is basically our child, so finding the right dog sitter was a big deal for us. Luckily, we found Anat and we couldn't be happier. She treated our pup as her own. We got regular updates and pictures, and it was clear that our dog was having a blast. We've found our go-to sitter!”

Mburu G.
“Oh, let me tell you about my niece Mburu – she's like a dog-whisperer extraordinaire! Whenever I'm off on vacation or swamped with work, she steps in to look after my special needs pup, Snowball. Since he is a pug he has a lot of respiratory issues but she's all over Snowball's specific needs, from his quirky diet to his daily routine. She keeps me in the loop with all the doggie adventures – playtime updates, mealtime stories, you name it. It's like I'm right there with them. I gotta say, having her on dog-sitting duty is a total win-win. Snowball gets his own little vacation, and I get to breathe easy knowing he's in the best hands with a detail-oriented, communication-savvy dog sitter like her.”

James B.

“James was wonderful with my cat, who is normally very shy around strangers. He managed to gain her trust rather quickly. He was very polite, caring and gentle. He communicated regularly, sending me pictures and telling me about his time with her. I felt very comfortable leaving her in his care and will certainly seek his services again.”

About: I’ve taken care and loved dogs since I was 8. Ive been a foster for several dog shelters and had the pleasure of taking care of those who needed a home, even if it was temporary. I have dogs of my own back at home and take very good care of them! I’m patient and love raising dogs and am more than willing to take care of ones that aren’t mine! I am currently a student so I’m not working at this moment. With an open weekly schedule, all you have to do is let me know when you need me! If I am a sitter then I would just stay at your house while you are away of course! I’m always available on weekends too. I would visit and walk the dog as needed without making a mess in your home! I am comfortable with any type of dog! With my own dogs, I walk them constantly throughout the day and keep them on a consistent schedule.

Tima H.

“Tima has been amazing with our dog, Chewie! She is reliable, thoughtful and caring! Chewie loves her and is so excited when she comes to play with him. I would highly recommend her!”

About: As a child, my family & I were home socialization volunteers with puppies from guiding eyes for the blind. We boarded 2 puppies almost monthly for years, introducing them to new sights and sounds in a home environment. It's one of my favorite memories from childhood, and what started my love for dogs! 3 years ago I found and adopted a pregnant street pup, Patchouli, while living in Israel. Working with multiple trainers, and because she had a lot of behavioral and trust issues, I trained her myself & after she gave birth, I made sure all the puppies went to good homes! Patchouli made me a hardcore dog-person and I fell in love with dogs because of all that she taught me about them. Let me fall in love with your dog as well :) I just returned back to the US after 6 years abroad. I am very flexible with my schedule and will be happy to help look after your dog! I live in a large, 2 story house. There are no dogs at home with me, but plenty of green space to run around in!
