“Craig was amazing! He helped me out tremendously when I needed a dog sitter last minute for my 5 month old puppy. Not only did he provide me with pictures and details about his visits throughout the week, he also taught my puppy patience when it comes to feeding time and other ways to address her nipping. I would highly recommend Craig and would definitely use him again in the future!”

“Elena was a great pet sitter, I absolutely loved her! She took care of everything my cat needed and that we agreed. She took the time to get to know him and the attention was all focused on him. It was the best sitter I had so far. Definitely booking again! Thanks Elena, it is so great to have peace of mind even leaving the little one.”

About: Hi! We are Alyssa and Michael :) We are both huge animal lovers and treat every pet like they’re our own. We’ve been caring for animals for years, especially dogs and cats, but alyssa also has experience with fish, rabbits, and birds. Alyssa used to work for a professional dog-walking company, Thumping Tails, where she worked with 50+ families, handling everything from walks and feedings to cleaning up, playtime, and just giving pets the attention they need while their owners are away. Even after leaving, a lot of those families have stayed in touch and still trust me with their pets, which means a lot to me. I’m happy to provide references if needed! We are both very comfortable with all kinds of dogs and have worked with different breeds (small to large, you name it), from puppies to seniors, varying energy levels, and even pets with disabilities or special needs. We both also have experience giving medications when needed. We are both cat owners ourselves, so we totally get that every cat has their own personality. We’ve worked with friendly cats, shy ones, and the “I’ll come to you when I’m ready” types. I’m very patient and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. We both offer walks (quick, short, or long), drop-ins, playtime, and can even help with pet socialization if that’s something you’re looking for. Also happy to just stop by to give your pet some love and attention! Right now we are not offering boarding, but we both have experience with house sitting through both freelance work and my previous company. We are both very easygoing, reliable, and really pay attention to the little details on whatever instructions you leave, l follow them closely to keep your pet happy and comfortable. Feel free to reach out anytime! We hope to meet you and your pets soon! — Alyssa + Michael🐾 Michael is available during the day and can accommodate day time walks and drop ins. Alyssa currently works full time M-F 9am-6pm, but available early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. We both offer house sitting, so feel free to ask for either one of us! We care for pets exclusively in their own home, where they feel safest and most comfortable, and I focus on keeping their routine consistent and stress‑free. our services include dog walking tailored to each dog’s pace and preferences; feeding and refreshing water exactly as instructed; administering medications with care and clear documentation; maintaining clean, tidy litter boxes; and providing socialization and enrichment through play, cuddles, or calm companionship based on each pet’s personality. During house‑sitting visits, we follow all home instructions, keep your space secure, and can also bring in mail, water plants, take out trash, and ensure everything is locked and cared for before one of us leaves, all while sending you updates so you always know how your pet is doing.
“!!WOW!! We had such an amazing experience with Andrew and we are thrilled to know we can continue to rely on him to help us watch our little babies! We had last minute sitting changes and needed to find someone to watch our two dogs during a holiday weekend the night before. Andrew was quick to respond and worked magic with his schedule in order to help us on such short notice! His communication while we were away was fantastic, full of sweet messages and pictures!! We felt so comforted knowing Andrew was there to be with them and take care of them. We will absolutely be asking him to help us out for all of our future trips and sitting needs for them!”

“Our dogs love Andrea! She is always prompt, kind, and loving towards our dogs. We know that they are in excellent hands when she is taking care of them. We cannot recommend her enough!”

About: I love animals! I genuinely appreciate learning their personalities, what they require and bringing happiness to their days’ when owners are away! I have taken care of pets for my family, close friends and friend of friends, from small cats to large dogs. I have Monday through Friday most weeks free while I’m studying throughout the week. I’m pretty active so I love going outside frequently for walks, getting fresh air and enjoying nature. I am very organized, clean and mindful. I’ll respect your home and space and do my best to leave it better than I found it.
About: I have a Scottish Terrier at home and I've had her for 5 years now. Over the years we've hosted numerous dogs, giving me hands-on experience with various breeds and temperaments. Additionally, I run a pet care brand (Modern Kindred), which has motivated me to study pet biology and behavior for the last 3 years. This combination of personal experience and professional knowledge allows me to provide informed, compassionate care tailored to each pet's unique needs. I work from home running my pet wipes brand, so I'm available throughout the day. I only make trips to the post office once a day, but otherwise I'm home with my dog (who is energetic and loves playing with other dogs). This means I can provide consistent attention and supervision for any pets in my care. I create a safe environment by removing any objects that dogs could chew on and only providing durable, indestructible toys with no loose pieces. I always supervise dogs closely and stay in the same room with them to ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times.

“absolutely loved having catie as our cat sitter! She was amazing with our cat Charlotte — patient, gentle, and very caring. She sent us daily updates, which truly gave us peace of mind during our trip. Charlotte can be shy, but she slowly warmed up to her, and that meant the world to us. We felt completely confident and happy knowing Charlotte was in such good hands. Thank you so much for everything — we would definitely book with you again!”

“Lina is a consummate professional and truly cares for her clients. We had her stop in for a feeding and potty break but she wasn’t available at the exact time we needed. She went out of her way to try to accommodate us and stop by as late as she was able to for a dinner feeding since we were coming home late. A+++”

About: I grew up working as a farmhand in Texas, which means I've been mucking stalls, wrangling animals, and figuring out what creatures need before I could drive. That foundation never left me. Years later, while finishing my doctorate, I lived and worked on a goat farm — because apparently I can't stay away from animals even when I'm supposed to be writing. No gatekeeping, no judgment, just attentive, knowledgeable care tailored to your specific creature and their specific personality. I've been pet parent to dogs of all sizes, from Chihuahuas to Great Danes to my current Sheepadoodle — there's no dog size or personality that's too much or too little, IMHO. And my experience extends well beyond dogs — cats, snakes, farm animals, and more. I also happen to share my home with a ball python named Fettuccine Alfredo 🐍, who is distinguished, low-drama, and an absolute joy to know. I'm also a serious plant person. Indoor jungles, outdoor gardens, that one fiddle leaf fig you're nervous about — I see you. If you need someone who will actually look at your monstera and not just splash water in its general direction, that's me. (My avocado tree, grown from a pit, is thriving. I'm not taking questions.) Housesitting, dog walking, drop-in visits, basic training — I've got you. And if you're going away and need the whole ecosystem looked after, pets, plants, and all, I'd love to meet you. Pet care fits naturally into the rhythm of my week. My mornings are consistently free, which works well for walks and drop-in visits, and I have full flexibility on Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends for longer stays or housesitting. On days when I'm teaching in the afternoons and evenings, I'm still available in the mornings — and I keep my schedule intentionally manageable so I'm never stretched too thin across clients. This isn't something I'm squeezing in around a packed schedule — it's something I've made genuine room for. When I'm in your home for drop-in visits or housesitting, I treat it with the same care and attention I'd give my own. That means following your routines exactly as you've set them, keeping things tidy, and making sure your pets are comfortable and unstressed in their own environment. I take detailed notes at meet-and-greets so nothing gets missed while you're away. On walks, I keep dogs leashed and attentive to their individual energy and needs — a reactive dog gets a very different walk than a social butterfly, and I know the difference. I bring over thirty years of animal experience to reading body language and behavior, so I'm not caught off guard by much. My own home includes a ball python and two cats, so I'm well practiced in managing a multi-species household safely and calmly. I don't offer boarding, which means your dog's visit to my home would only ever be for a meet-and-greet in a low-key, relaxed setting. In any situation that feels off — health, behavior, anything — I err on the side of contacting you immediately and getting to a vet if needed. You'll never be left guessing.

West Harrison pet parents share their Rover experiences
Alyssa and Michael are fantastic! It was my first time using Rover and having a visitor for our puppy. Alyssa was super communicative and answered all of my questions and Michael was awesome with Lily (and our two cats). Everything went smoothly and I came home to a happy little girl. Such a relief to have found two really great people!

Emmily is great! She really cares about animals and is very knowledgeable about pets. She pays attention to detail and is patient. She makes sure my cat eats slowly and gives him the attention and affection he needs! I feel very comfortable leaving my pet knowing she will be cat-sitting him.

Amy did an incredible job taking care of our cat Ash! He was well taken care of and enjoyed spending time with her – Amy was incredibly communicative in letting us know constant updates on how Ash was doing. She even made time to get to know us, Ash, and our home better before our trip. We're incredibly thankful for her help over the holidays!
