About: With over 14 years of full-time experience caring for animals, pet care is more than just my profession it is a lifelong passion. While the majority of my experience has been with dogs, I have also gained extensive experience caring for cats and birds in their homes. I am a Certified Veterinary Assistant with hands on veterinary experience and a strong understanding of animal health and wellness. I am comfortable administering oral, topical, and injectable medications, monitoring pets during recovery, and providing post-surgical care when needed. I am also very familiar with the veterinary clinics in the area and have experience transporting pets to appointments, assisting with checkups, and helping owners follow veterinary recommendations. What sets me apart is the level of attention and care I provide. I build close, trusting relationships with the pets I care for and take the time to learn their individual personalities, routines, dietary needs, and preferences. I have a strong interest in animal nutrition and understand the importance of maintaining consistency in a pet’s daily routine to support their overall well being. In addition to pet sitting and dog walking, I have several years of grooming experience. My building includes a dedicated pet grooming facility, allowing me to conveniently offer grooming services while pets are in my care. I am a dependable, knowledgeable, and compassionate caregiver with many long-term client relationships national and international. References from local families are available upon request, and I take great pride in the trust that both pets and their owners place in me. I would be happy to assist with all of your pet care needs, including pet sitting, dog walking, medication administration, recovery care, transportation to veterinary appointments, grooming, and personalized daily care.

Rowan had an amazing time at Ari & Karen’s! He was neutered just a week ago so he needed some extra care - they did a great job helping him with the recovery and making the day enriching for him at the same time! Rowan also loved short walks in their big yard - can’t wait to bring him back after he recovers so he can run around in it next time! :)

Diana was great and so patient with my dog. My dog was very nervous and didn't want to go with her but she was so kind and loving, she went with her. She spent the whole day with her and kept me updated throughout the day. I would highly recommend her. In fact, my dog is going back two more days this week to Diana.

This was a perfect stay for Roxy!. Karine and her husband Ryan took excellent care of our little girl. Their home is welcoming, and they are both attentive to her needs, very friendly, and responsible. Roxy is a bit anxious about being in a new environment but she felt right at home here and had fun playing with Miso. We will be back.

About: Ive been a professional dog walker for 7 years in my neighborhood. Everywhere I go they ask where are the dogs?? Ive had many satisfied clients. I have slots for more dogs daily. Small dogs are my preference since I have in a small area for them to play in. Overnights are fine too. I have a main play room in my space for smaller dogs. Large dogs may need an overnight pen to rest in overnight for dogs over 30 pounds.

Had a great doggy daycare visit with Laura this week! Her attention to detail and genuine love of dogs is what has us coming back again. I loved her desire to really get to know my dog and make accommodation for Lola's little quirks and upside-down scheduling. Thanks Laura (and Chris too) for giving us a new safe haven for Lola!!

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I truly enjoy providing a safe, structured, and loving environment while you're away. I offer in-home boarding, daycare, and training. I have two dogs of my own, including my sport dog, with whom I've earned a PSA PDC. Training & handling dogs isn't just my passion, it's my lifestyle. I'm comfortable working with dogs of different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. Whether your dog needs an active day of play, a calm place to relax, or help reinforcing good manners, I'm happy to meet their individual needs. With my background in dog training and handling, safety is always my highest priority, creating a structured environment where every dog can feel confident and secure. I know how important it is to stay connected while you're away, so you'll receive frequent updates, photos, and videos throughout your dog's stay. Whether your dog is staying for daycare, overnight boarding, or training, you can feel confident knowing they'll receive plenty of attention, exercise, enrichment, and affection in a caring home environment. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! My schedule is flexible, working mostly from home, which allows me to also provide pick-ups and drop-offs. I have 3 Ruffland crates in my car to ensure your pet is safe during travel. I have a fenced in yard in my home. All dogs are kept safe in Ruffland Kennels inside the house until their scheduled / designated potty and playtime. I also take daily outings

About: I’ve cared for dogs for over 17 years. Besides raising my own dogs, I’ve also cared for friends’ dogs for stays ranging from one week to two months. My Goldendoodle loves making new dog friends, and many of our guests have become his best buddies. I work from home most of the week, so I have plenty of time to care for dogs throughout the day. They get regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of attention, and are rarely left alone. I have fenced yard where my dog loves to play fetch. I usually let my dog out around 8am to play until 9am. All the dogs are welcome to join to play together!

About: I’ve grown up with dogs of all sizes. I also foster dogs for a local humane society in La Mesa. I love doggy cuddles, long walks, anything to make a pup smile makes me smile. I work from home so I give lots of attention to my furry friends, as do my roommates! Unless your pet doesn’t like this, I love bringing them everywhere. Farmers market, to lunch, walks, the beach, I live an active lifestyle and I like having a partner in crime to bring along. I try my best to keep your pup on a similar routine to how they live with you. I want them to feel comfortable and excited to come stay with me!

Peter was so helpful and wonderful taking our two pups for the day. This was our first Rover experience and it could not have been more pleasant. The dogs had plenty of outdoor time and stimulation and had a great time with Mocha. Peter was incredibly responsive and sent photos and updates throughout the day.

Amy was terrific! She was able to take our dog in on very short notice, right after Thanksgiving. It was immediately evident that she loves dogs, and that our dog was in good hands. She provided several updates with pictures . The next time we are in the area we will definitely look to book with Amy again.

Karen is an absolute gem! We did a meet and greet beforehand and immediately felt comfortable leaving our senior dog, Kuro, in her care. Kuro had such a great time with her, and we felt totally confident knowing he was in good hands. Karen was attentive, kind, and clearly loves what she does. She also sent us pictures and updates throughout the day, which we really appreciated. We’re definitely planning to rebook with her again!

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Purchase

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Purchase on Rover is $36.38 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 10,529 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Purchase. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Purchase commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 10,529 sitters in Purchase, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
