“Rachel is a gem. She is quite obviously a wholehearted animal person. She's not just an animal lover but she's also a master chef to the animals! She took great care of our dog and cat and also our home. She gave us updates and was just an absolute love. We are so happy to have found her.”

“Donna was amazing taking care of our puppies. She cared for them like her own. She gave updates and even did some light cleaning. Will definitely be using her services again.”

About: I have had dogs in my house since I was a kid. I have done lots of dog sitting for my family, friends, and neighbors and wanted to expand my availability to people within my community. I have a part-time job usually at night, so I can easily take care of your pup any time in the morning or afternoons. Sundays and Mondays, I don’t usually have work. I’m pretty flexible as well! I LOVE playing with dogs, and I like to give them lots of love and attention too! Anytime I’m with your pup, you can count on 100% of my attention.
“Alexandria is a delightful, professional, and diligent Pet Sitter. She took care of my cat Mr. Book and pup Noodle. I would recommend Alexandria to any of my friends who need a stay-in sitter for their furbabies!”

“Highly recommend Kevin. He stayed with my very peculiar older dog and left my house cleaner than he found it. He kept me informed with photos and updates on how my pup was doing in my absence. Very respectful of my home and even washed the towels he used! Five stars!”
“Sarah was just amazing. She is tidy, clean, responsible and loving! Sarah was wonderful with our pups, she gave them a lot of attention, care and snuggles. She was also excellent with her communication, she sent a few pictures during our days away and let us know the dogs were doing well and having fun. When we arrived home everything was spotless and she washed all the linens she used. I would highly recommend Sarah and I would love to have her stay at our home and care for our two dogs again.”

About: I have volunteered with the California SPCA taking care of cats, been involved with 4-H and FFA, raised and showed goat, pig and guinnea pigs. Have experience house and dog sitting for family and friends. Currently in college, studying biology and forestry. I have my own reliable transportation and live in Prescott, but willing to travel to the Quad cities. I currently work part time and also go to college, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to check in and take care of your pet, or even stay the night or weekend with your pet. I have experience with feeding, walking, caring or playing with cats, dogs, or even farm animals. I have no problem with minimal grooming like a bath or brush if needed. I have even saddled and road horses and shown animals through 4-H and FFA. I am studying biology and environmental science.
“Top notch Dog Sitter!! I highly recommend Ashleigh!!! I have so many good things to say about her service. She went above and beyond. Ashleigh was so attentive to my dog. She was challenged with a senior dog with high separation anxiety. I asked if she’d stay home with my dog more than be away. She spent long days and evenings with my girl just like I asked. She put the dog food, meds and treats in refridge after she noticed a line of ants on my counters. Ashleigh was so kind to voluntarily wash the bedsheets and put new ones on for me. That saved a lot of time for me after a long flight I can’t keep up with all the extras she did for me and my dog. Oh and she’s so fun to talk to as well. I was so pleased she was at a mature age rather than too young to know how to run a household. I feel my dog was in safe hands with Ashleigh and I’m already hiring her for 3 weeks from now for more overnights! She’s trustworthy, reliable and responds timely. Plus she just moved to Prescott, still unpacking and accepted my request on a last minute request. Thank you, Ashleigh for a job well done! Jingles thanks you! We have more trips where we will definitely hire Ashleigh. I just hope she isn’t booked”

My main commitments are taking my daughter to and from school, appointments, and interviews, but I plan my time carefully to ensure pets always receive the care and supervision they need. I enjoy creating a reliable, loving routine for every animal I care for. I care for pets with attention, consistency, and compassion, whether in my home or the client’s home. I ensure their environment is safe, clean, and comfortable, and I give them plenty of love and attention so they feel secure and happy while in my care.
“We are so grateful that we found Gwendolyn through Rover. She took great care of our two Golden Retrievers, Kayla and Kylie. She regularly sent pictures and updates of what they were doing, along with leaving the house cleaner than when we left. We couldn't be more pleased.”

“We were very happy with Malina's care for our two dogs. She was on time, sent photos of our 4 legged girls and made sure they were cared for as we had asked. I do recommend her and will certainly be happy to hire her again.”

I can be an early riser or a night owl depending on what works best for your animals. I focus on creating a calm, consistent, and safe experience for pets while they stay in the comfort of their own home. About: Hi! I’m Aydan, a lifelong dog lover who has grown up with dogs and cared for animals for as long as I can remember. Spending time with animals is genuinely one of my favorite things, and I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m dependable, attentive, and patient, whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm companion nearby. I treat every pet as if they were my own and take pride in providing reliable, loving care that gives pet parents peace of mind. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for and walking my own dogs. While I’m newer to Rover, I’m very comfortable around dogs and understand the responsibility that comes with caring for someone’s beloved pet. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I’m a professional singer and performer who has spent the last few years traveling and performing aboard cruise ships. While I’ve loved the adventure, one of the things I’ve missed most while being away from home has been spending time with dogs and other animals! I grew up in Prescott and will be home in Arizona for the summer with a very open and flexible schedule. At the moment, I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week and am excited to build connections with both pets and their owners. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I’m looking forward to meeting new furry friends, getting outside for walks, and providing dependable care and companionship whenever it’s needed. I currently have two Australian Cattle Dogs, Max and Jazzy, who are my babies! They’re both 11 years old and still full of energy, so we’re out on daily walks and often exploring local trails and outdoor adventures together. Along with exercise, I make sure they get plenty of playtime, attention, affection, and of course lots of cuddles. Because I have dogs of my own at home, I’m not currently able to offer boarding or care in my home. However, I’m happy to provide walks, drop-in visits, and pet care in my clients’ homes. When caring for your pet, my goal is to maintain their normal routine and make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’ll treat your dog with the same patience, attention, and care that I give to Max and Jazzy, making sure they get the exercise, companionship, and affection they need.

“First time I've used a pet sitter so was a little nervous at first. Zack was great at communicating and sending pics. 'Kids' were perfectly happy when I got home and house was immaculate. Thank you Zack for peace of mind when I travel from now on!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Prescott
Patti is just phenomenal, hands down. We are so grateful to have found her, and plan on using her again and again. Our sweet cat, Toby, is nearly 19 years old, and leaving him for an extended time can be stressful for us and for him. Patti stayed in our home with him and provided frequent updates and such excellent care--when we returned, he was like, "Cool. Glad you're home, but where's Patti?" :) She provided a home visit beforehand to meet Toby, get clear on care instructions, and to make sure we were all comfortable with the arrangement. She also has a deep understanding of pet behavior, which is super helpful. We simply could not be more pleased with the care Patti provided and cannot emphasize enough the peace of mind it brought to know our guy was in such great hands. A bonus: I'm pretty sure our house was cleaner after than before Patti's visit! She is meticulous and a rare find.
Georgia was very prompt, kind, and good with our dogs. She sent photos halfway through the day to reassure us. One of the dogs left in her care is very skittish and had a nervous pee accident, which Georgia cleaned up and let us know about. The other dog is a very large German shepherd with a very loud bark and high energy, which can be intimidating, but she handled him with no problems. Both dogs are rescues that need a certain touch when handling. Georgia did a wonderful job, and we would love to have her sit for us again.
Jennifer was an incredible pet/house sitter and we will definitely be booking with her again in the future! She has great communication skills and makes sure to let you know how things are going while you are gone. Our minds were set at ease knowing she was with our dogs! Highly recommend Jennifer for all your pet sitting needs :)

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Prescott walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Prescott maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Prescott choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Prescott. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
