About: I’m an animal lover! I’ve been blessed to have my dogs Xola and Chupie in my life. They are such joys, and I live to care for them! I take them on walks and hikes, and treat them like my babies. I currently am a full time student, and I have school from 8am-2pm, Tuesday-Friday. I am available anytime after that, and I’m free on Saturday-Monday! I follow instructions to the T, and respect that owners take care of their animals in unique ways. As long as the animals and their owners are happy, then I’m happy to help!

About: I started by caring for 4 cats at an early age. Feeding, nurturing, grooming. I've periodically done cat sitting for family members and close friends. By the time I was 20 I had been dog sitting for 2 years for people other than family. I have cared for elder dogs with cancer and respiratory issues. I've cared for all sizes of dogs by walking, feeding, bathing and playing. I only administer oral medications. The goal is to keep those tails wagging and the felines purring. Currently I have availability from in the morning at 9am until the afternoon at 3pm Monday through Thursday. And I'm available after 6pm on the same days listed above. I'm able to provide the attention each pet needs without them leaving their home. I can easily come by the client's home and play with the dog, take them to use the restroom, Clean up after them if needed, walk them and ensure they have proper food and water levels. I'm capable of sitting with them during the night or simply just checking in on them. Small things matter when caring for pets. Safety is important and comes in many different forms. Making sure all gates are closed before taking the clients pet outside to the restroom, thoroughly cleaning a bowl they use, or even making sure the pets leash and harness is back where it's supposed to be. If I'm walking a dog, I'm bringing plenty of water and making sure it isn't too hot. Safety is first.

“PEACE OF MIND!!!!! My fur-baby is a 13 year old Chiweenie who is handicapped from being hit by a car 10 years ago. His injuries are in his back end and give him the independence of a 12” tall life all the time. He needs assistance to climb even one stair! But he’s a good boy who loves his short life! This year we scheduled a six day vacation. On a cruise ship. I’ve never had to figure out who would take care of my dog before. I met a few people and did a few interviews. I couldn’t find anything that made me comfortable. I met Carissa and knew that she was going to be good for him. My pups injuries have kept him pretty sheltered. Not much opportunity for knowing other dogs, cats, or kids. Therefore, he has a huge aversion to most of them. Carissa‘s living situation took care of those issues for me. There aren’t any. That was the biggest draw for me was that I was going to not have to worry about my babies negative interactions with others. She took him in and made him her priority. He got to go on car rides which he loves. Sleep in his own beds and he does that most of the day. She was able to keep him to his simple routine and surround him with the things that make him comfortable. She sent pictures and updates. They would only pop in occasionally as I was not in this country. But they gave me the ability to enjoy myself without having to worry about him at all. For the first time ever. I will continue to use Carissa for my pups care. I found a real gem here…..”
