“Gwen went above and beyond taking care of our sweet girl while we were out of town for a week. She stayed in our home and left it cleaner than when we left. I cannot give a high enough rating for the level of service she provided. I highly recommend if you are in need of a Pet sitter.”
“We hired Donna for the first time this past week. She is a warm and kind person who took good care of our “scaredy cat,” Barney, for 2 overnights. She kept us updated twice a day, and by the second day, our shy boy was already warming up to her and not hiding. We were very pleased!”

About: When I was little up to my current age, I have always been familiar with and taken care of medium and somewhat larger sized dogs. Neighbors and family have been happy to have me pet-sit and help quite a few times. While I am not working, I am a student with lots of schedule flexibility. Mostly available during mornings and afternoons, but can do nights as needed. I live with a couple dogs that get along with others fairly well, with a spacious back and front yard that is well fenced and easily monitored.
About: I have 3 small dogs & and a cat. I'm a animal lover and I know how scary it can be to leave your friend while going on vacation or leaving for work. Im here to help! We have a fully fenced and secure front and back yard. I have plenty of space and love to give to your babies while they are staying here. I can provide basic senior care, medication administration, puppy care and more. I work from home and im available on weekends as well. Your babies will never be left unattended. I will ALWAYS be at the house to watch your pet. Im 100% available Friday through Sunday and weekdays i have some work calls via zoom but i will always be home. I have experience watching family and friends pets and farm animals as well as Fostering dogs with United animal friends and providing after surgery care. I can provide a daily schedule, safe feeding, safe environment and lots of playtime. I can also provide a quiet and safe place for older or more skittish babies. We have a maltipoo and chihuahua and a 6 old shihtzu/pug. They are all smaller dogs with great tempers and love to make new doggy friends.
“My pets loved her! She was very communicative, sending me lots of pictures and videos and checking in frequently with me. I had a 4 day trip, and was worried to leave my animals alone. By day 2 I knew I had nothing to worry about! 😊”

“My dogs adored Taylor. She sent me tons of pictures and my pups looked so happy! She checked in with me often and offered to help with other household tasks. She was very considerate when it came to my home. One of my dogs needs extra attention and she was very patient with her. I’ll definitely book Taylor again.”

“I am so glad I found Tee. I was very nervous before we met since this is still quite new for me. However, Tee put my husband and I at ease immediately. She stayed at our house for four nights with our dog and cat. I received lots of pictures, confirming the fur babies were having a great time and getting lots of love. My dog is terrified of thunder, so I know Tee had her hands full. I think it stormed the entire time we were gone. Our house looked just as we left it. We appreciated Tee getting our mail and a couple packages. If you need a sitter for your pup or kitty, Tee is amazing!”

“Alexandria is a delightful, professional, and diligent Pet Sitter. She took care of my cat Mr. Book and pup Noodle. I would recommend Alexandria to any of my friends who need a stay-in sitter for their furbabies!”

“Kami was amazing with Jake and Tasha. She made sure both Jake and Tasha got their daily medicine and all their daily puppy loving. Kami stayed with the puppies in our house for 5 days so the dogs would be secure and safe in their normal environment. Tasha and Jake were happy when we got home, however they definitively seemed sad when Kami left. Kami will be our number one choice from now out. She's similar in cost to taking the pups to a kennel, however this way the puppies get to stay comfortable in their own home and there was someone at home to bring the Amazon packages into the house. Lastly, I think the house was cleaner when we got home than when we left. Thank You so much Kami. Tasha (65 lbs) and Jake (100 lbs).”

“Zack was wonderful with my puppies. He took great care with them. Very conscientious and caring. I will definitely ask him to puppy-sit in the future if the opportunity comes along.”

“Sherissa did an awesome job house sitting my 2 Labs. They seemed a bit worn out when we returned, which we were happy to see so that we could rest when we got home. They have a lot of energy and Sherissa definitely was a good match for them. She posted pictures of them playing and is very responsive to communications. I highly recommend her, and will continue to use her for my house sitting needs.”

I also have experience fostering kittens, so I’m comfortable caring for cats of all ages, including young kittens who need extra patience and attention. I’m known for being friendly, reliable, and providing excellent communication, with regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pets are in good hands. I also am an experienced real estate professional and can care for your home with extra attention to detail. I am happy to help take out trash bins, help with plant care, etc. I have a fairly flexible schedule. I am free after 3:00 in the afternoon and open all weekends. “Jessica was great with our four dogs and spent a lot of time with them at our house even though the house/dog sitting was over the Christmas holiday. We will definitely use her again.”
About: Hi, I’m Helin or you can call me Helen. I believe that every animal—whether they have fur, feathers, or a shell—deserves to feel safe, seen, and never lonely. My life has been a journey of caring for all kinds of creatures, and I’ve decided to dedicate myself to this full-time because I truly believe no pet should have to wait by the door alone. My heart has always been most at home with animals. I spent 17 beautiful years with my senior cat, a journey that taught me the importance of patience, soft voices, and the specialized care that aging pets require. Beyond my cat and dog companions, I’ve had the joy of caring for aquatic turtles and birds, so I am very comfortable with the unique rhythms and delicate needs of "non-traditional" pets. By day, I work as a receptionist at an emergency animal clinic. This role has shaped me into a calm, observant caretaker who knows how to listen to what an animal is telling me, even when they can’t speak. I bring that same watchful, protective energy into your home, ensuring your pets are not just fed, but truly cared for. I'm free 4 days of the week and I work full time 3 days of the week but I can make accommodations if I need a day/week off to take care of a pet because pet sitting is the thing I love the most to do. I can take care of your pet in your home, take them out to walks, feed them& play with them using the instructions you provide me.

“Kenny did a great job with all our pets - 2 dogs and 1 cat. They were walked every day and well taken care of. He provided some pictures and updates while we were away and he instantly communicated back with us when we checked in with him to see how all was going. He is very flexible and accommodating to changing needs and schedules. Kenny also did a great job taking care of the house and outside plants while we were away.”
The median cost per night for house sitting in Chino Valley is $50
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Chino Valley
Shannon was so kind and thoughtful throughout the time that she stayed with my two sweet little girls. She left daily notes of their actions, behavior, and eating, which was very kind and thoughtful and showed extra love and effort. She also unfortunately had to navigate some bizarre things at my home like a little mouse and due to a major storm tree branches crashing down onto my deck. And she handle all that extra stuff with grace and kindness. She was wonderful. I will absolutely use her in the future again and again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Chino Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Chino Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Chino Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
