Zoie was absolutely amazing with our dogs and cats. She stepped in last minute and was incredibly flexible when our plans unexpectedly changed and we got stuck needing an extra night. Knowing our pets were in such great hands made a stressful situation so much easier. She was communicative, reliable, and clearly cared for our animals like they were her own. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and felt completely at ease the entire time we were away. We’re so grateful for her kindness, flexibility, and help on such short notice. Highly recommend Zoie to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and dependable to watch their pets!

Wow!! Jennifer is the best house/dog sitter I have ever used. She messaged us with pics and videos of Molly (our dog) once or twice every day and let us know how she was doing. I could see that she paid a lot of attention to Molly. Molly is a little older and recently had a seizure so she takes a couple medications twice a day, which was no issue for Jennifer. When we got home, Molly seemed very relaxed like she had a great week. The house was immaculate, and the sheets she used were washed and waiting for us in the dryer even though we didn't expect that. I'm really impressed and I'm not easily impressed. Thank you Jennifer and Molly thanks you too!!!!

About: Hello there, I’m a dog mom myself and it is my goal to adequately care for any dog or cat that is placed into my care with making sure they are fed well, walked, played with, and made to feel alone while you’re away. I grew up with animals, From dogs to cats, birds and turtles. I've had the opportunity to take care most of my friends animals (both dogs and cats). My dream is to be able to open up a rescue some day. I am currently flexible ( message me) I currently work as a home caregiver (for the elderly) as my main job and the hours are not permanent, so I can work around my schedule to accommodate. I have a very friendly and well behaved 35Lb dog and a fenced yard. Dogs would meet first before having a dog stay over. I follow instructions thoroughly and stay in contact with you, to make sure your animal baby is well taken care of in your home.

About: I love dogs I grew up with a dog and as an adult I have had 2 dogs. Right now I have no dogs, so I can help out! I have an open schedule, just let me know how long I am allowed to leave the dog alone ex: grocery store visit or what not. I will let them out as often as needed and snuggle them and play if they want to play. We can go on walks or just stay home depending on dog.

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 7. Growing up I always had dogs and would walk, play , feed, give medicine and bathe them. When I was 10 that was my first job I would walk and bathe the neighbors dogs. I take care of my sisters dogs I also started house sitting and dog sitting, walking , feeding, bathing, and watering the plants and feeding the chickens at my bosses house, when he goes on vacations and also neighbours and friends dogs. Also I walk dogs for a lady who has ms. I am a dog lover and all dogs love me back. I had 3 chihuahuas that passed away from old age and now I have a rescue and he is amazing! I would care for your fur baby like it’s my own. I currently am working part time. I do have time to spend time and take care of your pets! If I have to go to work I will make sure your dog is fed and goes potty as well as after I get off work. I have 1 dog. He is a chihuahua mix rescue, we live in an apartment. He is free to rome around the apartment. My dog can eat when ever he wants. But if that is not the case for your dog. I feed them following your rules. I take my dog potty breaks every 4 hours .

We don't leave Elmo often and are nervous when we do because of his separation anxiety. Having said that Seven came in and treated him to some great hikes and companionship. He was happy to see us but comfortably so and a happy dog overall. Our plants were well cared for also and our home looked immaculate when we got home. We would happily recommend Seven to care for your home and pets and will gladly request his help again in the future.

I really appreciated the multiple daily updates with photos and notes, it was fun to see him having such a good time. Stephanie will definitely be one of my go-to sitters in Sedona. About: I have many years experience with animals. I formed my own animal rescue and was a shelter manager before moving to Arizona. I am still involved in rescue work here where I live now and in addition to that work in Animal Control. I can also schedule day hikes at many local surrounding vacations, take them for grooming appointment etc. Why I love dog sitting I have been an animal over as far back as I can remember. I have many references upon request. I formed a non profit animal rescue. ........ and knew that animals were going to be in my career. I also have been a shelter manager, animal control in addition to forming ........ Meet my pets I have 3 dogs that are rescues and love to have visitors to play with. I am also willing to come to your home if you wish! About my yard We have a back yard, lots of hiking and walking near us and your dog will be walked several times a day. Kami was amazing with Jake and Tasha. She made sure both Jake and Tasha got their daily medicine and all their daily puppy loving. Kami stayed with the puppies in our house for 5 days so the dogs would be secure and safe in their normal environment. Tasha and Jake were happy when we got home, however they definitively seemed sad when Kami left. Kami will be our number one choice from now out. She's similar in cost to taking the pups to a kennel, however this way the puppies get to stay comfortable in their own home and there was someone at home to bring the Amazon packages into the house. Lastly, I think the house was cleaner when we got home than when we left. Thank You so much Kami. Tasha (65 lbs) and Jake (100 lbs).

We have used Peggy before. She is great with our dog and we know he is in good hands while we were gone. Our dog is very comfortable with Peggy so he is not stressed or unhappy while we are gone. This trip our flight home was seriously delayed coming home. Without hesitation Peggy covered our dogs needs until we returned eliminating a big concern on our part.

FAQs for House Sitting - Camp Verde

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Camp Verde on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 163 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Camp Verde. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Camp Verde walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Camp Verde maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Camp Verde choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Camp Verde. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
