“Ashley did a wonderful job caring for our cat. She played with him, gave him treats, and sent cute photos each day. She kept the litter box area clean and tidy. We will definitely call on Ashley again!”

“Gary and April are very loving towards my cats. I was gone for a short trip, and kitties were calm, cool, and collected. I even had some health issues earlier in the week with one cat and April gathered tons of information to make sure kitty would be amply cared for... she didn't need it, but it was nice to know that if she relapsed, she had the care she needed. You can trust this sitter! Very thorough and fun people to boot!”
About: I am a veterinary assistant an zookeeper with a decade of experience in the animals field. I have worked with exotics, horses, dogs and cats. I am comfortable with all at home veterinary care (insulin administration, medication administration, SQ fluids, etc.) I also love the basics of pet care (walks, feeding time, play time). I’m currently a part time student, part time vet assistant. I’m free most weekends and some week days. If you communicate your animal needs, I will always do my best to accommodate if my schedule allows it Whatever foundation you have established for your pet, I will uphold it to the best of my ability. I am always willing to help however I can.

About: Hello! my name is Zoie. I have 1 year of work experience and have done volunteer work for local shelters and have fostered since high school. I can help with pet transportation / sitting and pet walking. I am a pet owner myself, owning both cats and dogs and been around pets my whole life. I started working with animals when I was in high school with my mother fostering kittens then eventually started volunteering with different local shelters. I am currently between jobs, so I will be able to devote my whole time and attention to the care of your pets and their needs. Unfortunately boarding and related services will not work as I am currently living in a mobile home. You can trust I'll treat and respect your pets like they were my own.
About: I've had the privilege of caring for cats for about 39 years, and during that time, they’ve truly become one of the greatest joys in my life. From playful kittens to wise old seniors, I’ve shared my home, and my heart with countless feline companions. There’s something incredibly special about the bond between a human and a cat. It's quiet, respectful, and deeply meaningful. Their affection is unconditional, and their trust is something you earn over time, a reward that I’ve always cherished. Cats have always been my pet of choice. Their unique personalities, intelligence, and independence make every relationship different and rewarding in its own way. I’ve never met a cat I couldn’t connect with, whether it's a shy rescue who needs gentle encouragement or an energetic kitten eager for play. Over the years, I’ve learned to read their body language, anticipate their needs, and provide the calm, loving presence they thrive on. I'm recently retired and available with only one day's notice. I am happy to provide house sitting or drop-in visits for your kitties. My service areas are: Camp Verde, Cottonwood, Jerome, Sedona, and Village of Oak Creek. I look forward to hearing from you! After decades of being a devoted cat parent and caretaker, it occurred to me, why not share this experience and love with others? That’s why I decided to offer my cat sitting services to the public. I know firsthand how important it is to leave your furry family member in trustworthy hands while you're away. With me, your cat won’t just be “watched”, they’ll be cared for with the same level of attention, compassion, and understanding I give my own. Whether it’s administering medication, cleaning litter boxes, preparing special meals, or simply offering companionship, I provide thorough, reliable, and loving care tailored to each cat’s needs and personality. As a courtesy, I've also created an Excel spreadsheet I call the "Cat Sitting Journal". I will present this journal to you at the end of each cat sit. It will detail all of the work completed by me on any given day. For example, you'll see when the litter box was cleaned, how often your kitties were fed and medicated, and when the plants were watered, etc. If you're looking for someone who genuinely loves and understands cats, and has the decades of experience to prove it, I’d be honored to care for your beloved feline(s). I am also licensed, insured and certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have and I hope to hear from you soon!

“I didn’t realize that there was an App for pet sitters and then realized, “why not have an App for that too?” I was so happy to find Dar Rae on Rover! I have 4 older cats who are afraid of people and I cannot leave their care to just anyone. She was very professional and really cared about my cat’s physical and emotional wellbeing! She sent me a text to tell me about her visit, how they were doing and what she did for them while she visited with them. I would highly recommend Dar Rae and will definitely use her services again.”

“Salina was so great! She stopped in to let our pups out while we went to the Grand Canyon. It was such a relief knowing our babies were in good hands. She updated me and sent pictures which I loved. :)”

“Megan was great! Definitely will be booking with her again, communication was easy and she was very nice throughout the whole process. She took great care of our 3 pups, sent us pictures, kept us updated, and was very flexible with our schedule to make the visits work. Overall the entire experience from before hand just booking, to the actual drop-ins was very pleasant and I would recommend Megan to anyone who asks!”

“Thank you so much Krystin! I appreciated all the love and care you gave my indoor/outdoor cat Toby, especially for the extra cuddles at night when he gets lonely. I am grateful for the updates you gave me on how he was doing throughout the house sitting, the photos and videos you sent every day or evening, and you being there to make sure he was always back inside for the night. All of it reassured me that he was in good hands while I was away! 🩵”

About: I am a 19 year old student here at NAU and I love every animal I meet!! I have been dog walking for 4 years throughout high school. I also have dog sat and cat sat when needed. I am an animal lover and am looking for a pet fix while I’m away at school. I love to work with all dogs, big or small, and wish to give them the best experience possible. I am a student at NAU but often have free time in the afternoons and evenings for dog walks. I have no class on fridays which would allow for me to have a completely open schedule. My day to day schedule is different every day but is the same every week. In my time dog walking, I was trusted with the keys to multiple families home and made sure to never let anyone outside join me and always leave the house nicer than I came into it as. I have no issue with crating dogs and making sure they feel safe in their homes.

I’m a trained volunteer with the Humane Society and regularly complete their training and refresher courses, so I stay up to date on best practices for animal care, safety, and enrichment. Whether it’s puppies, seniors, or pets with special routines, I’m confident in providing the right balance of structure and love. I’m available throughout the day for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins, and I can easily adjust to your pet’s schedule. Since I don’t have a long commute or fixed office hours, I’m flexible and able to give pets the attention and companionship they need whenever they need it. When caring for pets in my home, I keep things calm, safe, and focused on their comfort. I only host one client at a time, so your pet gets my full attention. My home has a grassy outdoor area (unfenced), and pets are always supervised when outside. Inside, they’re welcome to relax on the furniture or even sleep in bed with me if that’s what they’re used to—it’s all about keeping their routine familiar and stress-free. In a client’s home, I make safety and trust my top priorities. I always follow your instructions closely, from feeding and walks to routines and house rules, and I double-check doors and gates to ensure your pet stays secure. I’m experienced with administering medications and managing special diets, so you can feel confident that your pet’s specific needs will be met.

About: I love my experiences with my canine friends, and felines too. I have been the primary care person for numerous furry friends though my life although not currently. I have enjoyed numerous pet sitting jobs, including for elderly and crippled dogs, here in the Verde Valley and have a pet-friendly vehicle for potential nature hikes. Since I am retired, it's easy to program my personal interests (writing, web programming, music editing, reading) amongst the needs of my clients, human and non. I bring them outside if appropriate, feed them as wanted, medicines as required, walking, talking, petting, playing, and give them personal space as they may prefer.
