About: Hi! I’m Alex! I’m 24 and a weekly volunteer at Muttville, a senior dog shelter in Mission Creek. I’m on the adoptions team, but when I’m not meeting with prospective adopters, I help take care of around 30 senior dogs between our main floor and quiet rooms :) I have experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes and ability. I’m comfortable medicating dogs orally, topically or ophthalmically (eye drops). I’m also comfortable administering special diets (wet/dry/natural) and regular walks. I’ve taken care of dogs with special needs like anxiety, cancer, Alzheimer’s, blindness, deafness and amputations, so if your dog needs additional care, I’m there! I grew up with a chihuahua and currently have a hamster :) I work remotely in data analytics for a nonprofit foundation based in Palo Alto, so I’m always looking for creative spaces to work from. Let me work from (your) home :) I take time to understand the routine that the dog is used to, meaning walks, feeding schedules and playtime. Because I work with senior dogs who often have special needs, I’m very mindful of diets, medications and maintaining a comfortable, safe and consistent environment. I absolutely do not believe in harsh discipline or tie-outs and am not comfortable if asked to administer this.

I’d love to give your pup a fun, attentive adventure while getting us both plenty of fresh air, exercise, and beach time. I also love hanging out with older dogs doing quiet meditative sniff walks around the neighborhood, doing doggy massage, and gentle play. I'm working part-time as a zoom host for my Zen community but have wide availability for dog walking and pet sitting. I treat every client’s home with care and respect, and I follow all instructions closely—including feeding, fresh water, medications, routines, and house rules. I make sure pets feel safe and comfortable, keep doors and gates securely closed, clean up after them, and send regular photo updates so you know they’re happy and well cared for.

About: My pet sitting experience ranges from infant puppies to elderly fur babies. I know that when working with animals, especially ones that are not accustomed to me yet it requires a ton of patience and care. Whether potty training or meeting medication needs, I’m confident I have what it takes to care for your fur baby. I’m a college student so I have a lot of space in between classes for walking, playing and bonding with pets. I know what it’s like to have a busy schedule that doesn’t always work with a pet so I’m willing to fill that space. I think that establishing a relationship and boundaries between a pet and myself is the most effective way to have a healthy bond for the pet. This will make feeding, walking and being in each others space for the first time more comfortable

About: I grew up with all kinds of animals, and I have been caring for them my whole life. I've taken care of puppies, senior dogs, fosters and rescues. My sister is a veterinarian, and we often talk about best practices for pet care. My pandemic project was working with my grandparents' dog-aggressive rescue, who is now best friends with a golden retriever and poodle in their neighborhood! I also have experience giving pills, ear drops, etc. Animal safety is a very important priority for me. I work remotely most days, and I have a flexible schedule. I would be happy to work with you to find timing that works for both of us. I would love to work with you on what is best for your pet. I'm in a very dog-friendly neighborhood with designated dog parks and nearby walking paths. Since I work from home my schedule is very flexible in allowing for frequent potty-breaks, walks and anything else they need.

One of our cats fell very sick right before our trip—he was lethargic, malnourished, and required daily medication and a special ointment for his ears.
