“I highly recommend Xinyi & Kivanc! They were super communicative and shared updates & photos throughout Pepper’s stay to let us know she was in greats hands.”

“Vanessa was extremely flexible and accommodating with drop off, sent multiple pictures throughout the day, made sure all my dog’s toys and treats were back in the bag, and my puppy came back smelling great! She and her dog definitely gave him a lot of attention because he came back exhausted (and it’s hard to tire out an Australian shepherd). Highly recommend.”

“Sean was amazing. It was clear that he cared about the wellbeing of my dog and he made sure that I felt comfortable leaving my pup with his dog and cat. He brings a calming presence, which I’m sure many puppy owners can appreciate. It was also my dog’s one of first times interacting with a cat, and Sean handled it like a pro. He sent frequent updates with pictures and videos which I really appreciated. His dog, Opal, was also very sweet and got along with my dog really well. I definitely recommend him and would go back again next time.”

“He was so amazing and accommodating! Loved Anthony and Brody loved him too. Best part he made a joke that he tired our Brody from a full day of play and I loved that! Made our commute home easy. Highly recommend him!”

About: I'm often the person that folks reach out to at the last minute to help look after their dogs or kids (or kid-like dogs). I live in Dogpatch, a block from Esprit Park, and work from our spacious home there. I'd be happy to take dogs out on adventures to Crane Cove, Potrero Hill, or nearby at Esprit, or just hang out at home to keep each other company. If appropriate (and time permits), I can also take dogs hiking, to the beach, or for runs too. I volunteer as a mountain Search and Rescue member and have my WFR and First Aid BLS, although that's not as relevant to dogs. I am American Red Cross Certified for Dog and Cat First Aid and CPR. I work full time, but with a very flexible schedule and entirely from home. This makes it really easy to pop out for a quick trip to the park and take breaks to play. I have a fairly spacious home and can accommodate playing indoors as well as making sure there is a designated safe home base for the dog if needed. There aren't really any areas that are off limits, but I do have the ability to add gates if needed. Lots of natural light make it a really comfy space. Our house is relatively kid proofed (in a friend brings their kid) so no other pets or hazards.
“Soomi was so lovely! She was very flexible, sent lots of updates, and asked often for our preferences/input. She also happily met us for a meet and greet before we booked. It was very clear our pup Pips had a great time and was comfortable with Soomi. We’d happily use her again!”

“Our 4 months old puppy had a great time with Yunhee. She spent her day care with two other doodles which made her much more confident around other dogs. We appreciate all the photos and updates Yunhee provided and we look forward to booking with her again soon!”

“Matthew was great! We really appreciated meeting him and his looking after our girl Pixel. I appreciate that he did longer walks and clearly knew what he was doing with the pups in his care.”

“Sarah was fantastic with Pepper! She kept us updated throughout his stay, and Pepper came home happy and well cared for. It was clear he received lots of attention and love. We would definitely book with Sarah again and highly recommend her to other pet parents!”

About: I have a 4.5-year-old Standard Poodle and provide daily, hands-on care. I walk him 3–4 times a day and prepare his meals from scratch using fresh baked chicken, pumpkin, cabbage, and brown rice, so I’m very experienced with attentive routines, nutrition, and loving, consistent care. Pet care is an important part of my daily routine. I work from home, so I’m able to structure my day around regular walks (3–4 times a day), feeding, playtime, and companionship. Since I already care for my own Standard Poodle with home-cooked meals and consistent exercise, adding another dog naturally fits into my schedule and home, ensuring they receive plenty of attention, routine, and love throughout the day. Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities. I work from home, so pets are never left alone for long and are always supervised. I have a small fenced backyard for safe outdoor breaks, and there is a large grassy park right across the street where dogs can enjoy walks, exercise, and socialize with other friendly pups. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. My home is clean, calm, and pet-friendly, and I provide regular updates and photos so owners feel confident and at ease while their pets are in my care.
“Ellie loves hanging out for day care! Awesome sitters and so flexible and communicative even when my schedule gets a little nuts. Such a bonus to have a dog park right there!”

“Michael is always accommodating and so sweet to Wilma, our 2 year old labradoodle. He’s responsive and easy to communicate with. He’s watched Wilma several times and she’s excited to see him when we drop her off. We totally recommend Michael!”

“Kristin is great! She was flexible and organized, and perhaps most importantly Eva was quite happy to see her and Moppy on the second day. As a bonus I got some of the best cutest pictures ever during sitting.”

“Theresa watched Figo for a second time, and he was so happy to see her! She helped me reinforce his training in staying off furniture, which is a problem we have been trying to address for a while. Thank you, Theresa!”

“Jessica is a warm, responsive sitter who made George feel right at home. She took great care of him and kept me updated with regular photos throughout his stay. Highly recommend.”

“Cristina was super kind and responsive! She sent me updates and photos throughout the day and let me know if any issues arose. She was patient with my anxious senior dog and did a great job taking care of him. I definitely recommend her and Ernesto and would love to book them again!”

“Marina is amazing. I moved to SF 6 months ago and had never used a service like Rover before. My dog Scout is a 2-yr old Australian Cattle Dog (i.e. high energy and a little too clever), so I'm a bit nervous trying new daycares. I've never had to worry about Scout staying with Marina, however. She has a great time and comes home really happy and exhausted.”

“Had no regrets leaving Buzz with Eunjee & her sweetest pup Theo. She gave multiple walks and outdoor plays and gave many videos and pictures updates throughout the day! Would 100% recommend anyone to trust their dog with Eunjee :)”

Potrero Hill dog parents share their Rover experiences
Joshua was fantastic with our puppy, Raisin. She took to him straight away, which is saying a lot because she’s usually very cautious around new people and doesn’t love being away from us. It was clear she had a wonderful day and felt completely comfortable in his care. He has a natural way with dogs, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. If you get the chance to book Joshua as your pet sitter, definitely do it!

Maggie and Matthew went over and above for our boxer Penny! They updated us with photos/videos and took such great care of her. Penny can be very shy at first but they handled it perfectly and made her feel right at home. We feel lucky to have someone in the area that we can now trust with our girl!

This was the first time I tried a Rover sitter, and I’m so thankful Remy and his sweet daughter were my introduction! I have a senior dog with some special needs and who also requires medication, and Remy obliged all the instructions and, as evidenced by the photos and video he sent, clearly put my baby at ease and helped make him feel at home. He was extremely communicative, punctual, and very attentive to Cashew’s. I will definitely contact him again the next time I’m visiting the Bay Area and need a sitter!
