“I could not recommend Maggie&Matt more! I was in a bit of a pinch when I had to bring my husky Akasha with me to SF from LA for a film project and we could not have gotten any luckier to find Maggie and Matt to take care of her while I filmed for a day. It was not hard to see that I picked up not only a tired dog, but a happy and satisfied dog, in fact she slept the whole way back to LA :) The only potential issue you might have is a dog that doesn't want to come home with you after spending a day with Maggie, Matt and Pineapple and Poori! About: I have a 4.5-year-old Standard Poodle and provide daily, hands-on care. I walk him 3–4 times a day and prepare his meals from scratch using fresh baked chicken, pumpkin, cabbage, and brown rice, so I’m very experienced with attentive routines, nutrition, and loving, consistent care. Pet care is an important part of my daily routine. I work from home, so I’m able to structure my day around regular walks (3–4 times a day), feeding, playtime, and companionship. Since I already care for my own Standard Poodle with home-cooked meals and consistent exercise, adding another dog naturally fits into my schedule and home, ensuring they receive plenty of attention, routine, and love throughout the day. Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities. I work from home, so pets are never left alone for long and are always supervised. I have a small fenced backyard for safe outdoor breaks, and there is a large grassy park right across the street where dogs can enjoy walks, exercise, and socialize with other friendly pups. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. My home is clean, calm, and pet-friendly, and I provide regular updates and photos so owners feel confident and at ease while their pets are in my care.

About: I'm often the person that folks reach out to at the last minute to help look after their dogs or kids (or kid-like dogs). I live in Dogpatch, a block from Esprit Park, and work from our spacious home there. I'd be happy to take dogs out on adventures to Crane Cove, Potrero Hill, or nearby at Esprit, or just hang out at home to keep each other company. If appropriate (and time permits), I can also take dogs hiking, to the beach, or for runs too. I volunteer as a mountain Search and Rescue member and have my WFR and First Aid BLS, although that's not as relevant to dogs. I am American Red Cross Certified for Dog and Cat First Aid and CPR. I work full time, but with a very flexible schedule and entirely from home. This makes it really easy to pop out for a quick trip to the park and take breaks to play. I have a fairly spacious home and can accommodate playing indoors as well as making sure there is a designated safe home base for the dog if needed. There aren't really any areas that are off limits, but I do have the ability to add gates if needed. Lots of natural light make it a really comfy space. Our house is relatively kid proofed (in a friend brings their kid) so no other pets or hazards.

Kira was our first Rover experience, and we couldn’t have asked for a better one. Pickup and drop-off were seamless, we received the sweetest updates throughout Sopita’s stay, and we had total peace of mind knowing she was so well cared for. It was clear Sopita felt comfortable, happy, and loved while she was there. She can’t wait to come back!
Katlyn was wonderful with Kyubi! She took her on long walks, introduced her to other dogs, and sent us a beautiful photo update at the end of the day — you could tell Kyubi had a great time. She was also super accommodating when we ended up running late from our appointment, which took a lot of stress off our day. Would absolutely book her again.
Cameron was great with Biscuit. He asked thoughtful questions ahead of time to make sure he understood Biscuit’s needs and how to care for him properly. He was flexible, communicated promptly, and provided updates throughout the day. Biscuit stayed with him for daycare for 3 days and came home calm and ready to rest each time. Highly recommend Cameron!
