Loving home by Dogpatch dog park
Hi there! We're a married couple and lifelong dog lovers living in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco. We raised our golden retriever Luna from an eight-week-old puppy, so we know firsthand the energy (and patience!) that goes into caring for dogs at every stage of life. Over the years, we've regularly sat for friends' dogs — Shelties, Chow Chows, Chihuahuas, Samoyeds, and more. Some have been young and bouncy, others older with specific dietary needs and feeding routines. We're comfortable and attentive with all of it, and we genuinely enjoy adapting to each dog's unique personality and pace. Luna is sweet, gentle, and a bit goofy — and she's been wonderfully peaceful with every dog who's come through our home. Your pup will have a calm, friendly companion in her. We live right next to Esprit Park, a dedicated off-leash dog park with a big grassy area full of happy dogs throughout the day — perfect for playtime, socializing, or a leisurely sniff around. Your dog will feel right at home with us!

Xinyi (Sola) and her husband (Kivanc) have taken care of our dog Sparta on numerous occasions over the years, and beyond sending us photos galore, they always take the opportunity to bring Sparta to new and fun places to explore and run around. Sparta is an elderly dog, turning 12 this year, so we really appreciate the care, patience and attention that Sola and Kivanc give to him, sometimes for several days or even more than a week at a time; and all that while taking care of their own puppy Luna who couldn’t be more different from Sparta. They contrast each other completely in terms of personality, age and energy levels, and yet Sola and Kivanc seem to have no issues handling them at the same time; I can tell that Sola and Kivanc genuinely enjoy caring for dogs and do so with ease no matter how different each dog may be from their own. Sparta loves staying over with them - sometimes he doesn’t even look back when we drop him off; but that’s why we have no hesitation in doing so. As they say, your dog is the best judge of character. I highly recommend Sola and Kivanc for any Rover request; no matter the personality or energy level of the dog, they will have a great time and you can rest assured that they are cared for. Schedule
For daycare: I work from home four days a week and have flexible working hours (to accommodate meetings across international time zones), so I can take your pup on walks and play with them during the 9 to 5 window without a problem. For boarding: every day, my husband and/or I take our pup out for a walk in the morning and for extended playtime (~one hour) at Esprit Park (dedicated dog park on the next block) in the evening, plus potty break before bedtime; we can add more potty breaks into the schedule as needed.

Our home is a safe, dog-friendly space where your pup will be treated like family. We always keep a close eye on visiting dogs and never leave them unsupervised, especially during initial introductions with our golden retriever Luna. We follow all feeding instructions carefully — we've managed everything from strict medication schedules to multi-step meal prep for friends' senior dogs — and we'll stick to your pet's routine as closely as possible. Luna is gentle and well-socialized, so new dogs settle in comfortably. We live right next to Esprit Park, a dedicated off-leash dog park, which means plenty of safe outdoor time on grass rather than sidewalks. We keep our home clean, free of hazards like exposed cords or toxic plants, and we'll always communicate with you through photos, updates, and quick check-ins so you have peace of mind while you're away.
