“My dog is 12 years old, visually impaired w/severe cataracts, has arthritis in his hind legs so he can’t go up/down stairs and struggles to walk (35lbs which can be a bit heavy for people to carry), and is diabetic, requiring insulin injections 2x daily at 7:30am/pm. I used to board him but (understandably) they weren’t comfortable taking him at the doggy hotel anymore because they couldn’t give him the attention he needs with all the other dogs. So I turned to Rover. When we met Christina, we arrived at her home with my pup’s tush covered in poop cuz he had an accident in the car while sitting. I wouldn’t have been surprised if she turned us away after - not a great first impression! Silly me. She got out some wipes and took the time to carefully and gently clean him. Christina was very thorough in understanding what he needed, asking questions instead of just guessing or assuming. She sent lots of pictures and videos throughout the weekend, and when I picked him back up, most importantly, he was happy and doing great. I missed him a lot when I was away, but I didn’t worry about him, which is incredible. I cannot thank Christina enough for giving me that peace of mind.”

About: I have had a dog with me since I was young, I am great with dogs and very patient and caring with puppies. My husband and I have three rescues; Stella is a 9 year old female chihuahua/Yorkie mix, Jack is also a 9 year old male chihuahua/Yorkie mix, and Patrick is our newest little Covid rescue and he is a 2 year old Maltese/Yorkie mix. Stella and jack both weigh 4 lbs and Patrick is 10 lbs. We have big house with a great yard in the bayview, and our dogs are very spoiled and well cared for. I will treat your dog like my own and give them the best of care and lots of love. I am patient while training and use a high praise and positive reinforcement method of teaching and incorporate this with my daycare and overnight stays. I am currently available anytime and any days for walks or boarding. I work from home so someone is always at home with your pet. I take numerous walks with my own dogs and always happy to add to the pack! I have a large pen for dogs that need their own space or your dogs are free to chill on the couch with my pups. We go on walks every 1-4 hours depending on the age and need. We have a large dog park nearby and a great yard that’s secure and serene. I also have a lot of experience with housetraining puppies, and I can offer nail trims and baths if needed. About: I have taken care of new born litters since I was a kid, and I have raised them as well. I currently have 3 dogs, which are 5 yrs old, 4yrs old, and 3yrs old, and I also have experience dog sitting my sister’s dog. I work from home so I am able to feed dogs anytime and take them out anytime, and I have flexibility to be able to give them love and attention in between work and after work I have a gated patio, and I have doggy gates and crates to separate my dog from yours if needed. About: I'm often the person that folks reach out to at the last minute to help look after their dogs or kids (or kid-like dogs). I live in Dogpatch, a block from Esprit Park, and work from our spacious home there. I'd be happy to take dogs out on adventures to Crane Cove, Potrero Hill, or nearby at Esprit, or just hang out at home to keep each other company. If appropriate (and time permits), I can also take dogs hiking, to the beach, or for runs too. I volunteer as a mountain Search and Rescue member and have my WFR and First Aid BLS, although that's not as relevant to dogs. I am American Red Cross Certified for Dog and Cat First Aid and CPR. I work full time, but with a very flexible schedule and entirely from home. This makes it really easy to pop out for a quick trip to the park and take breaks to play. I have a fairly spacious home and can accommodate playing indoors as well as making sure there is a designated safe home base for the dog if needed. There aren't really any areas that are off limits, but I do have the ability to add gates if needed. Lots of natural light make it a really comfy space. Our house is relatively kid proofed (in a friend brings their kid) so no other pets or hazards.

About: I’ve been around dogs pretty much my whole life, whether it was my standard poodle as a young kid, my mini poodle as a teenager or, more recently, the senior dogs I’ve fostered or adopted from Muttville. Dogs have always been in good hands with me. Right now my wife and I have two dachshund chihuahua mixes we adopted at five and six. Our home is a dog home. They’re on the couch, on the bed and even under the covers (if they want to burrow). They’re in the mix and they’re loved. If your dog has medications, I’ve got it. If they have special needs or they’re older and need a slower pace, I have ample experience with that. I’m currently dedicating my time to taking care of pups, so your pup will have my undivided attention throughout the days and evenings. The max amount of time I’d leave your dog alone would be for four hours. I have two dogs of my own that I would keep separate from your dog to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort. I’m very comfortable caring for dogs of all kinds, including walking, feeding, bathing, giving medications, potty breaks, and everything in between. Many happy humans — according to their pets! Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and check-ins never feel like an interruption — they are usually one of the best parts of my day. I’m active and outdoors often, so I’m happy to build my schedule around regular walks, longer outings when appropriate, and plenty of attention at home. I’m also comfortable with more detailed care needs, including medications, specific feeding routines, bathing, and keeping pets on the schedule they’re used to. Whether I’m caring for dogs, cats, or both, I like to keep things calm, consistent, and reliable so pets feel safe and their humans feel comfortable while they’re away. I care for pets by keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow each owner’s instructions closely for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications, playtime, and any special needs. In a client’s home, I’m respectful, tidy, and attentive. I make sure pets feel safe and cared for, keep their spaces clean, and provide regular updates so owners know how things are going. My goal is to give each pet calm, reliable care and plenty of attention while their humans are away.

I know that new people and changes in routine can be stressful, so I always take a gentle, calm approach and allow pets to warm up to me at their own pace. Building trust and helping animals feel safe is one of the most rewarding parts of pet sitting for me. I am currently free to provide pet care any day of the week. My current schedule is flexible. I will have the time to provide focused care for you and your pets. I have a backyard for quick breaks, but will also provide enriching walks around the neighborhood. I can also crate dogs if they are trained to do so.

“Alina was awesome and went above and beyond. My cat had a medical scare and stopped eating for three days and Alina was really awesome and took her into our vet to make sure she was okay. After that event I offered to pick her up early because i felt bad about the extra stress but she was reassuring and was totally fine for me to stick with the original time. I could tell my cat got the best care and treatment including administering oral medication which can be hard to do. I give her my best recommendation!”
