“Alison was excellent! She is kind, responsible, helpful and we will definitely book her again. She followed all our instructions and went above and beyond them. Thank you for watching our cats!”

“Laxmi was amazing as always! Our very anxious cat always feels so comfortable with her and Laxmi makes it a point to send us adorable pictures and was also very flexible on the time and duration of sitting which we greatly appreciated!”

“David did such a great job with my three kitties. I have a senior kitty that requires special attention and he did this without a hitch. They enjoyed him so much and I got lots of pictures.”

“We could not have asked for an easier and better experience. Marianna was experienced and built rapport with our cat, developing a bond over the days. She was always on time, followed the medication instructions to a T. We received updates and photos and even a video. She talked to our cat and spent the whole 30 minutes actually interacting with him (which we didn’t even ask for. We just asked that she be present to keep him company.) She is kind and thoughtful, and we came home to a clean place. Thanks so much. Highly recommended.”

About: Hi, I’m Kimberly! I’ve cared for animals my entire life—starting with family pets as a kid and continuing into adulthood. I’m that person who always stops to say hi to dogs on the street and offers treats to the neighbor’s pup. While now isn’t the right time for me to have a dog of my own, I’d love nothing more than to care for yours like family. What sets me apart from other sitters? It’s the genuine joy I get from spending time with animals, plus decades of hands-on experience. I’m comfortable with all kinds of dogs—puppies who need patience and training, seniors who need a gentle touch, and everything in between. Whether your pup needs active play, calm companionship, or special attention, I adapt to their personality and needs. I only care for one pet at a time, which means your dog gets my full attention, personalized care, and a stress-free environment that feels like home. My home is a calm, clean, and pet-friendly space, and I treat every dog like they’re my own—with lots of love, belly rubs, and safety first. You can count on timely updates, adorable photos, and honest communication every step of the way. Let’s give your dog their next favorite staycation! Pet care fits naturally into my routine because animals are a top priority in my day-to-day life. I work in the office Tuesday through Thursday, but I make sure every pet in my care gets a walk or bathroom break first thing in the morning and again as soon as I get home. Most weekday evenings, I do step out for about an hour to go to the gym, but otherwise, I’m home and available for plenty of attention, playtime, and snuggles. I’m fully available Friday through Monday, which allows for a more flexible, hands-on schedule—perfect for pets that need extra attention or time outside. Whether it’s a relaxing weekend with a senior pup or a full-on playdate with an energetic cat or dog, I’m ready and excited to provide loving care tailored to their needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities—whether I’m caring for them in my home or yours. I provide a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment where routines are respected and every animal is treated like family. For dog stays, I’m lucky to have a green space and dog park just a 5-minute walk from my home, making potty breaks and playtime easy, safe, and consistent. I always use a secure leash and harness system and never take chances when it comes to your dog’s safety outdoors. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and committed to maintaining your pet’s routine exactly as you’ve outlined. I make sure they feel secure and seen—even the shy ones! Whether your pet needs medications, enrichment, or just some quiet companionship, you can count on me for thoughtful, attentive care. Clear communication, reliability, and trust are the foundation of how I work. I’ll keep you updated with notes and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is in safe, loving hands.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 9 years old and we got our family dog. I helped train her and have cared for her for the last 11 years. I have also taken care of the pets of many friends and family members. I have a deep love for dogs and would be absolutely thrilled to take care of yours! My schedule varies a bit at the moment, but currently I’m most often available in mornings and early afternoons. I will be much more free from late July of this year on! I have a fenced backyard with lots of sun for your pet to run around. I have a friendly dog that is often home to keep your dog company as well! When I’m at your home, I will take your dogs out on walks often, and play with them and keep them entertained and happy while you’re gone!

About: I got a little lonely over the pandemic so friends started letting me borrow their pets. I found great friendship in those animals and would love to be friends with your animal too. I am currently working part time and remotely, so I'll have full flexibility to give your critter the love and attention he or she needs. I live alone in a one bedroom apartment, which is probably why I'm on this site haha. I am very tidy, have a relatively spacious living room, a sofa for Netflix cuddles, and they're welcome to my bed.

“Edwin has looked after our three cats more than a few times and they're always great at taking care of them! They've taken care of any accidents that happen (unfortunately :() and I'm very grateful for that. I always return home to healthy, happy cats!”

About: Hello! I believe, as many others do, that the therapeutic importance of animals in our lives is immeasurable. I was raised with family dogs as a child, and my appreciation for what they do for us has only increased. I have dog sat for friends who appreciate my cleanliness, reliability, and enthusiasm for pets. I seek to provide an experience that is professional AND fun for all involved. Thanks for your consideration! -Matt I am currently a student who is off for summer break so as it stands, I have ample time on weekdays and weekends to care for your pet! I am fastidious about following pet owner instructions regarding the care for their animal and use of their home. I am organized, clean, and respectful of pet owners’ personal space.

“Brock was very attentive and comforting during his time with cash. He was patient and provided good updates. I am glad I was able to find Brock and he was able to comfort Cash during a stressful time.”

“This is my second booking with Andrew, and I look forward to working with him again. Andrew leaves very detailed visit summaries and also shares great pictures of my cat when I'm gone. I highly recommend booking with Andrew.”

About: Dogs are such uplifting and joyful companions, and as a trustworthy and dependable individual, I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and caring for their needs. For over five years, I've volunteered at Muttville Senior Dog Shelter, where I walk, feed, and provide daily care for the dogs. In addition, I've fostered several dogs of various ages, gaining experience with a wide range of personalities and care requirements. I'm flexible, as I am a freelancer based in San Francisco. I can very easily adjust my schedule around my work and daily/weekly routine as needed. I know how to administer medications, keep dogs safe on walks, can easily crate your dog if need be, am very aware and cognizant of when your dog needs to go out or needs something.

About: Animals have always been a special part of my life. I communicate easily with them and enjoy being around them. Friends often describe my nature as very calming and I think animals respond well to me. I am a felt artist, I work from home. I just recently come to United States from Turkey and at the moment i have so much free time to involve as much as i can I provide a calm, safe and nurturing environment where animals feel secure, respected and cared for. I focus on building trust through gentle interaction, consistency and understanding each animal’s unique needs.

About: I’ve always grown up with dogs so I love having them around and I’ve also helped friends with walking, feeding and caring for their dogs. I love the companionship of a dog but don’t have one myself with my hybrid work and travel schedules, so Rover seems like the perfect solve! I work full time but am hybrid so I’m very flexible on the days I work from home, as well as weekends. I’d love to work more activity into my routine with a pet companion. I have a fenced in yard and love to go on walks to the park so your dog will get plenty of movement if they require it. I also have a spacious apartment where they can rest when needed!

About: I am a pawrent of one doggo and two gattos. I love to pet sit for my friends (cats, dogs, bunnies, anything w a heartbeat). Grew up on a cow farm and married a vet tech, my dark clothes have always had some sort of pet fur. Given special diets, special care and homemake treats. Currently a part-time lifeguard, so tons of time to hangout w your fur baby! I mostly work mornings (5am-9am weekdays, 7am-11am weekends). Any time outside of that is available to be spent caring for pets :) I assure the pet is acquainted and comfortable with me in order to work together. Love to bring homemade treats and make a puzzle for them to find it. Will always adhere to any restrictions and make sure we are on the same page.

About: Hi, my name is Leana and I would love to care for your pets while you are away! I have fostered puppies and kittens with the SFSPCA and the SFACC since 2010 and fostered senior dogs with Muttvile since 2020. I also worked for a year at Downtown Dogs in San Jose, a doggy daycare and boarding facility. There were anywhere from fifty to seventy dogs a day, so I learned a lot about dogs’ body language and when to step in before an altercation could happen. I have been dog sitting on Rover since 2012 and you can read some of the reviews from previous clients on my profile. Meet my pets I adopted a terrier puppy that is friendly with people and dogs. She is very well socialized and behaved, and is really good at socializing young pups. She is generally low energy, but the right dog can bring out her playful side. I work remote so am home most of the time and have a very flexible schedule. I may leave the house for an hour or so here and there to run errands or go to the gym. My typical schedule is a short walk in the morning and one long walk in the evening either around dinner time or before bed. I always add at least two potty breaks on top of that for a minimum of four potty breaks a day. I can always adjust as needed for your pets if they have a smaller bladder. There are great parks in Potrero Hill and lots of friendly, well-behaved dogs in the area. For stays at my home (currently only accepting repeat clients): I live in a friendly neighborhood with a secure fenced-in backyard. Your pets are allowed in all area of my home and there's space to bring any beds/crates they are used to. For house sitting stays: I will stay over at your place and can work from there. My dog and partner help out too so you can meet all three of us before booking the stay. For all services you can expect daily updates with pictures and you can feel free to ask me for more updates any time during the stay! I don't smoke and am fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.

Kimberly P.
“I can’t say enough good things about Kym and her dog boarding services! I had to travel out of town for five days on a business trip and was a bit nervous leaving my dog behind—but Kim instantly put my mind at ease. Every single day, she sent me the sweetest pictures of my pup enjoying walks, playing, and just relaxing with her. You could tell from his big, happy smile that he was completely comfortable and having a great time. When I came to pick him up, he was calm, content, and clearly bonded with Kym. It felt more like he had been on a little vacation of his own! It means the world to know he was so well cared for and loved while I was away. I would 100% recommend Kym to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and attentive dog sitter. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

Lisa I.

“Lisa is excellent! She’s communicative and interactive. She keeps constant updates with pictures and messages. My little guy is pooped after hanging with her!”

Kyla M.
“Kyla loves animals of all kinds! She is the sweetest soul and loves any chance to pet a passing dog. She's fantastic with pets of all ages, loves her family's senior dog and has cared for kittens as young as 3 weeks. She'd be the best pick for caring for your pet! Kyla leads her life with integrity and is a highly responsible person, you can trust your animal would be well loved and well taken care of with her.”

“Madison was great with our dog Zurgo and was a thorough communicator about her visit. We would definitely book her again when in need of a drop in visit/dog walk!”

Christine C.
“I have seen Christine handle two of my friend's dogs in the last 6 months. In both instances, she was able to provide the dog with the proper care they need. In addition, she usually goes out of her way to make sure they received tons of attention. In the cases when instruction is unclear, she would reach out to the owner to clarify the unclear part. Both of the dogs she looked after are in love with her! I would recommend her to anyone!”

Justin B.

“Very reliable and punctual. He has taken well to our weird, special needs dog. Very trust worthy sitter!”

Matthew F.

“Matt is the perfect person for dog-sitting and caregiving. I have known Matt for about 30 years. We grew up together and also lived together after college. He is a good friend. I know him well. He is a very reliable and stable person. The qualities required for pet caregiving - compassion, conscientiousness, and patience, to name a few - all come natural to Matt. He is also trustworthy, punctual, and ethical. I've seen him diligently care for several fish for years and would trust him with my pets without hesitation. ”

Brock G.

“Brock was very attentive and comforting during his time with cash. He was patient and provided good updates. I am glad I was able to find Brock and he was able to comfort Cash during a stressful time.”

Jamie U.
“Jamie is a responsible, caring person who’s great with dogs. I worked at Muttville for 6 years as a Mutt Assistant, and caring for the dogs was a major part of my role. Jamie was an important member of my volunteer team, regularly coming in to walk dogs, help with feeding, and making the dogs feel comfortable and loved.”

sabri t.
“Sabri is a trustworthy, calm and gentle person. He took care of Ladybird my 7 year old Springer Spaniel, while I was out of town for a week. He kept me updated with photos of Ladybird and was responsive anytime I reached out to inquire about her. Sabri stayed in my home and everything was in order when I returned. I would highly recommend Sabri for any of your pet daycare or walking needs.”

Monique R.
“Hi there, I can attest to Monique's reliability and compassion for pet care. Monique grew up with dogs her entire life and has always had a profound love for dogs. As our oldest child, Monique took pet ownership seriously and was always very helpful with walking our dogs, feeding them, playing with them, even grooming them. We've always felt comfortable leaving our dogs with Monique while being away for any length of time. Monique takes her pet sitting responsibility very seriously, and has always done an excellent job. Dogs are always drawn to Monique because she's so kind and gentle. And don't tell our other 2 children, but our current dog clearly likes Monique better than her siblings! But seriously, I highly recommend Monique as a very responsible and loving caregiver for anyone's pet.”

Iris M.
“Iris took care of my cat for two weeks as was the best cat sitter! She is very experience in cat care, would send me pictures, and my cat loved her. She went above and beyond in taking care of my pet and also took care of little things in house. Can't recommend highly enough”

Leana T.

“Had Spud stay with Leana one Saturday to attend a party. Spud was happy and came home tired enough to sleep through the night. I would definitely recommend your pup stay with Leana if you get the chance.”
